And back the clock joining us now from Charleston, South Carolina the governor of the palm meadows state Nikki Haley.

Who has a new memoir out called can't is not an option governor Nellie great to see -- great to be with you Lawrence another great day in South Carolina.

Well let's let's talk about what is clearly at the core of Obama's reelection strategy.

And it's to divide and conquer.

And on this issue of women he seems to be doing this to some -- fact I mean they're polls say different things at different times.

But there has banned in the last three -- three weeks or so.

Two -- three polls that come out that it demonstrated that Mitt Romney has fallen somewhat among women.

What accounts for that.

I mean how many times.

Can we say the word distraction that's what President Obama is doing he doesn't want us talking about his record he doesn't want us talking about.

How he's raised more debt in three years and President Bush has an eight he doesn't want us talking about fact that he said if we take the stimulus money we never get above.

8% unemployment that has -- been the case he didn't want to talk about the fact that he believes in creating jobs.

But he believes in creating government jobs but weren't trying to do American jobs like Boeing.

He can be the first to bully them and say.

And no they can't do that so this is a president that is trying to create distractions.

There is no war on women.

Women are doing well.

But women are thoughtful and what we -- the -- in the Republican Party and across the country Republican independent independent and Democrat women.

Say is we're more thoughtful than a label.

We care about jobs and the economy and health care and education we care about a lot of different things right I -- governor analysts and call us victims.

Right the governor why these poll results women eighteen to 49 USA today Gallup.

Not saying it's the be on -- all but it seems they have been a couple polls that have.

Rim revealed days some something of a gap between women and male now what is out there have been a gender gap for some time now.

But what is this a problem with branding for Mitt Romney is it a temporary blip given all the media crush on this issue.

You know I I'm not a pollster but I personally think it's the fact that were in this primary season.

So much is the back and forth between the Republican candidates that we haven't.

Had the opportunity President Obama has had to get out there really talk and generate what I.

I hope that the Republican nominee doesn't want all of us will do is focus on going out to those groups that were -- -- that's what a good candidate does you don't go to the people that.

Are just like -- go to the people that you have to earn their credit -- think that.

That The Who I think governor Romney is gonna have to go out there I think he's got the best golden bullet in the world which is and Romney and go out there and talk about the issues.

That affect all families in South Carolina and across this country and that affect every one and I thought when he does that with his wife who is a cancer survivor and and -- survivor and a strong mother wife and supporter of her husband.

I think all that will change.

Ally and she is without a doubt one of his.

Most powerful assets on the trail and I think he would agree with that.

Other than that -- I think it was Friday so the governor was asked about Augusta and it -- this is being brought up again it's like every time the masters rolls around it's.

Augusta as the rules on women an act frankly you know private club -- -- Is there that's -- that's their decision why they -- that's not a wanna run a club.

But he felt the need to say well I guess something like well.

I think they -- they may be shouldn't admit women but I have other things focus on.

Why even go down that road because it seems to -- in -- never gonna be the Democrats on on pandering to a particular interest groups so.

Why even go down that -- commenting on the rules of a private club.

Well I think because the media is so focused on and I knew what we say and I saw last week -- in the -- was just very focused on -- -- then -- You know the good thing about it is they're discussing a female -- it's a great at saying it shows that women are rising -- she can't go to -- as.

Now an -- what we wanna say is I think Augusta shouldn't -- I think that this is showing now -- times are changing traditions are changing but.

You know that's a Gaza should take women and they -- this is something that makes America great is that people can be successful -- continue to be -- -- I think the media is trying to -- up.

I think -- what's great is that people can make their own choices and private clubs -- now have primary rules and it to me.

I just think when Republicans go down this road that -- they just get lost in this narrative and again it takes away from now what what he's done of the economy or what happened under the economy.

And and -- well.

And I'll tell you.

And I'll tell you lord that's what they're trying to do it's all about distractions he's gonna continue to distract we have to continues stay on message of jobs the economy and his record exactly I think Mitt Romney gets bigger and bigger fish to fry than not -- that rules of a private -- -- -- it.

That what -- my answer but I'm running for president governor great to see you thanks so much.

And now he's been on the run --
