All right -- -- guys -- quite a fourteen hour battle against insurgents in Afghanistan.

My job as a combat controller -- a special forces team as the helicopters -- -- industry to the bad weather.

They weren't -- they were unable to Stevie -- the -- -- out my wounded teammates my Afghans as well as special forces medics under fire.

So I knew I -- to get their eyes on me and once they were able to see me.

I was -- -- guys on the enemy or correction the he tells the so I had a -- -- -- opens that you see me I knew I was gonna be a giant target but it was worth it because we were able to get commanders out save their lives.

And at one point you you you took some incoming fire is that right did I read it that a bullet had taken off one of the antenna and on one of your devices.

Correct when we were when actually -- down Theo -- I became a large target as wells helicopters and -- -- took off the top man -- just off my shoulder.

All right so tell us about the awards -- was it -- you.

It's an -- -- at first -- -- complete shock and I thought you were joking with me vote once it was confirmed.

You know it is that it definitely humbling experience but you know send those awards it's it's a team effort it's Obama's special forces teenaged Afghan commanders -- flight that day.

Because if everyone -- go above and beyond what was needed.

We were suffered catastrophic cadres and I probably wouldn't be here today be able talk to you guys Tom Dick do you have any any injuries from.
