From Washington DC forty miles.

Good morning guys -- you doing out doing okay although it sounds like did the job to having government Jeff nearly tell us a little bit about this character.

Well Jeff Daly is the number -- guy over at the GSA in the Pacific rim region he his job is to go expect government buildings.

In the Pacific rim which includes California.

Nevada.

As some of the Pacific islands and of course Hawaii where he spent.

Ten days now in all fairness his job is to go respect these buildings and he went for a ribbon cutting ceremony to you.

Do the ribbon cutting for this FBI building just style last year he stayed for ten days are records also show why debt Hawaii.

And out you know you this this is this is this is sort of the case and this is where the investigation has led now.

He's taken a 131 trips from march 2007 through September 20 can.

And it cost taxpayers a total of 108980.

Dollars so that's a big price tag.

-- -- -- -- my understanding on one of these strips miles that.

Of that ten day trip he did one event for work he went to a ribbon cutting ceremony right.

Right and and according to transcripts received from that -- from a rational committee that is actually.

-- investigating that side showed that he he he you know.

That one of his -- one of the employees at USA said that you know as one of these things -- he'd leave on a Saturday.

And come back on a Friday and do one ribbon cutting.

And you know there there's only two million square feet buildings of Hawaii that a federal buildings so -- -- much remains to be seen about how much he did in terms of inspecting these buildings and in terms of you're going narrowing as it is -- with the employees he was happening and then had come in a lot of this is coming out testimony on Capitol Hill this is one embarrassment after another.

Right -- the capital test -- come out next week.

What's really shocking as we saw this one trips to -- -- And it was really interesting because now but it is just an hour's driver and hours three minutes drive from.

That building in San Francisco where he works at the GSA so that was really shocking as wow you know -- What about the political equation here miles this is not good for the Obama administration because this is all happening on the president's time.

Well as I told you this started in 2007 so -- and it and it lasts until martial artists here.

Yes so you know this this is not about about you know the Obama administration or the bush and this is about.

About.

Bureaucrat who who who likes to take trips and and -- and -- in -- -- -- is his job but this isn't about a specific administration this is about.

You do you're going early this -- the -- where -- the over right DVD oversight -- and then all of this kind of stuff this is gonna come out.

In those hearings next week but this is really about about you know just a just a spiraling situation going on -- yes -- About a culture of corruption potentially within.

Government run businesses where nobody was paying that close of attention until now because are suddenly talking about the deficit and being out of deal.

That is what I we are looking at this so closely right.

-- he saw that that Las Vegas conference just back in 2010 and that and that cost taxpayers 822000.

Dollars.

That was a big thing and -- you know you at a time when.

When there is it's a big push for austerity it's really it's really something that you see this kind of numbers that being spent the good news is it I don't think it was in new clown outfit I think they did get a second -- recycled.

-- claim it's because they are edited possibly Myles Miller from the daily available on your iPad your device thank you very much for joining us live today from -- real.
