We turn to our chief intelligence correspondent Catherine Herridge live in Washington and Catherine what do we know about this launch.

Despite the failure of its attempted missile launch North Korea's provocative action threatens regional security.
Violates international law and contravene its own recent commitments a former senior intelligence official warning.
That a failed launch it does -- North Korea to learn from its mistakes as it develops his dual use technology in this case a delivery system for nuclear weapons -- While this may be an embarrassment for the north Koreans.
Is it in some ways an embarrassment for US policy.
Well it's important to lay of the timeline here it was just in February that North Korea agrees.
To a deal with United States that it would apparently halt its nuclear and long range missile tests.
In return for food aid and in advance of the launch the secretary of state sending a warning.
Pyongyang has a clear choice.
It can't pursue peace.
And reap the benefits of closer ties with the international community including the United States.
Or it can continue to face.
Pressure and isolation.
And -- senior Republican saying in a statement quote once again Pyongyang has demonstrated his complete disregard for international sanctions.
And his proclivity for worthless commitments.
The administration should abandon its -- -- negotiations.
With North Korea and with Iran the administration's position today.
Is that these acts just further isolate the leadership in North Korea -- reducing any likelihood.
