Three GOP presidential candidates remain in the race but there's only one front -- it appears Mitt Romney will be Republican nominee -- -- President Obama in the fall it.

Joining us now I give his take on all things presidential politics.

A man who ran his own presidential campaign.

Herman Cain is joining us here -- Washington studios such a pleasure to have you here today -- it's my pleasure thank you glad you can make you know definitely yet.

That is in -- 1998.

And close tougher -- about although the brouhaha this week over what has happened in the so -- war against women and that the concerns over the choices women are make.

-- making whether to stay in the house or working outside the home how do you gauge.

The firestorm.

That's taken place so far between.

And Romney and the democratic.

Operative Hilary Rosen -- and Romney.

One Democrats minus one.

It is totally backfired on him sect but the other thing that has come out it has raised the awareness of the issue of women having the choice to either raise the kids -- stay home if they choose to all.

Go out and work in some -- due to tough task of trying to do both.

My wife stayed home and raise -- he has and so that was just a poor choice of words.

The lady who made the -- -- but and and Romney has handled it beautifully.

Do you think this is now going to put that.

Concerned fronts and are now about women's efforts in the workplace and knowing -- The American voters have to take very -- that the voices of women are gonna be taken very seriously come -- selection particularly right now since we're seeing in the polls that Mitt Romney.

There is a gap between.

His support for women or not.

I think that the brouhaha about the whole incident is going to wing.

And that's because I believe that Mitt Romney who looks like he's going to be -- have been nominees gonna get back on message and he needs to get back on message.

The failed policies of the Obama administration.

What's he's gonna do in order to boost the economy to create jobs and his ideas about in its security except for so he's got to get back -- message.

And hopefully not stay on this particular one but he will highlight.

Some little differences and challenges that women have in the workplace.

We just heard a few moments ago from Donald Trump on the Buffett rule that's coming up for a vote.

This week in congress give me -- give me your take on.

Why this thing is being pushed by the administration in this way do you believe.

That -- is being used to.

-- distract voters from d.'s central concern -- you have over the economy.

Absolutely.

This is pure -- political theater for the following reasons first of all.

House of Representatives will never approve it they know that secondly.

If they pass this Buffett grew.

It doesn't put a dent into the annual deficit gang would deficit exceeds over one trillion dollar I think last time of about one point two trillion dollars.

If they implement the -- -- it might raise four billion of that.

That's peanuts now.

I did I -- -- -- a little calculation in my home.

If they really want to get the rich -- able.

And get Warren -- the pay more in taxes if they worked in past none.

Do you know what warm but that would pay in taxes a year.

Over 200.

Million dollars in other words they're not working on the my problem which is to throw out the tactical.

And but it will not David make -- they -- it.

His secretary pays more that he doesn't taxes the reason he doesn't pay a lot of taxes.

That helped -- is that that's that's of steel within his company Berkshire Hathaway.

He's won a practice and all of a Berkshire Hathaway which means that 25% of that nine billion dollars a year would be taxed.

And he would pay more than his secretary.

So taking a look at what's at play right now I know that you are going to be launching.

A series events here in Washington over the next several days to keep the focus on the economy and not just about the presidential contest and they're also looking at key senate.

And congressional races this for the upcoming presidential for the 2012 race.

Absolutely but like I mentioned you know getting on -- to -- in the -- focus on mess we call it.

The revolution -- he'll not bombs and bullets brains and ballots because we want to keep people focused on what we need to do in order to boost this economy.

And it starts with drawn out the tax code.

I was the only candidate running in the primary that's spotted at that point and I hope to have some influence going -- with a governor -- his campaign.

Focus on doing that secondly keep -- focus on.

Our energy independence keep the focus on sound money.

Inflation has become a sound a tax on too many Americans and when you compound that.

But the price of gas going up that average American family -- in -- -- so what the president to do what the senate is doing with -- -- -- vote.

It's -- political theater.

So as you go forward you're keeping the focus on that and you're looking forward to you.

Backing Mitt Romney yeah as a presidential contest -- also your pick for vice president.

I don't have a -- I have a few people that I think will look good on the list and I have mentioned Allen west I'm it to Marco Rubio.

Representative Paul ran both the summit -- on -- list but I know that governor Romney's -- I have to do a lot of soul search about our event.

This Monday is going to be in senate park what we don't have a great big rally we've got a lot of great.

Speakers there to talk about how we keep the focus and keep that keep the five -- on congress and on what's coming up in -- them.

Terrific all right thank you -- thank you for joining us here in the studio really appreciate always good to hear from you thanks.
