Hi everyone I'm meteorologist Mario Molina from the -- extreme weather center with the forecast for the northeast and today will be a very warm day out there.

Unusually warm with temperatures that are going to be up to thirty degrees above what's typical for this time of the year.

Take a look at some of our highs upper eighties from Syracuse -- Harrisburg DC and Richmond Virginia.

Although it will be your -- in Philadelphia and in New York City we're expecting high temperature at 87 degrees some of these temperatures will be breaking some records for some cities in New York City records actually 92 degrees set back in 2002 so we're not really going to be seeing that -- -- if we reach the upper eighties but it's very possible that we could exceed the eighties and make it into the -- out there Newark new -- actually expecting a high.

At 91 degrees so very close in New York City otherwise as we head westward in the seventies for buffalo Pittsburgh and also portions of the Great -- -- those temperatures.

Are above average as well now we do have a storm system this is a very same storm system that produced.

Massive severe weather outbreak across parts of the plains over the weekends with a over a hundred reports.

Tornadoes across portions of Oklahoma and Nebraska Kansas and unfortunately we did have some people killed with this storm system and some of those tornadoes.

That it did produce and today it will be bringing in some storms across portions of the interior northeast.

Early today it's going to be across parts the Great -- showers and thunderstorms.

But we do have that possibility for some severe storms across interior portions of the northeast including cities like Syracuse buffalo also -- down into parts.

Of the state of West Virginia -- now we're not expecting as bad as a severe weather outbreak that's what we saw this weekend across the plains.

Nonetheless -- possibility is still there so of course to stay alert.

And keep in mind editing do get a tornado warning issued for -- county that means you've got to seek shelter.

He -- -- because there could be a tornado on the ground.

Now we're not really didn't see much precipitation -- -- -- the east like along I five quarter from this storm system and by Tuesday morning most of the northeast stays relatively quiet out there so I'm not looking at any promise where morning commute on Tuesday.

And Wednesday high pressure still in place.

Now Lotta storms I'm gonna bring a lot of precipitation to the northeast.

It will be bringing in slightly cooler temperatures by the time we head into Tuesday and also Wednesday so on of those warm temperatures they -- dealing with today you're not going to be dealing with.
