Hi everyone I'm meteorologist -- -- -- from the fox extreme weather center with your forecast for the northwest as well as a midwest.

And across northwest today we're gonna have a very unsettled day with a lot of widespread rain spreading over the area including states like Washington or again.

And also Idaho so keep that in mind as some of the highest elevations could be seen some precipitation.

And the form of -- of course not unusual for this time of the year to go to today's high temperatures across northwest 54 over in Seattle 57 in -- -- And a high at sixty degrees in the city of Medford and across interior portions of the northwest.

Also relatively cool 48 will be your -- Jackson in -- high at 59 degrees and the city of Billings Montana across the midwest also relatively -- across northern parts.

Other north central 42 will be your high -- International Falls 47 in Minneapolis.

And 49 over and Bismarck this is a lot cooler than the temperatures -- seeing over the weekend.

And of course is because we had a -- from move on through and that's the same system that produced unfortunately on that severe weather across parts of the central and northern plains over a hundred reports of tornadoes were received and fortunately we also has some fatalities coming out of Oklahoma and also in multiple injuries because of those tornadoes that were reported.

And also large hail and damaging wind -- from that storm system on the backside of it much cooler across Minnesota.

And we even picked up some snow early today across northeastern Minnesota over seven inches were reported in some areas so quite significant for this coming here.

Major -- carefully out there -- do you have any slippery roadways still.

Across your area ahead in the system still warm though Detroit -- will be your high Chicago you're -- be seeing some those cooler temperatures especially this afternoon.

Only making it into the upper fifties is to basically -- high temperature already early this morning in the low sixties.

-- looking at that storm system still bringing in some activity across parts of the Great Lakes all the way down.

Into portions of the Tennessee valley and also the Gulf Coast showers and thunderstorms will be out there although the activity to -- won't be as anywhere near as bad.

As what we saw this weekend behind the storm system much quieter weather for the plains and that's gonna help -- recovery efforts otherwise in northwest.

Very unsettled a lot of rain with a brand -- storm system arriving -- to Seattle and Portland watch out for travel delays.

And out of those big airport hunt and also along the 5 but by Tuesday morning you're gonna have a -- in the activities a relatively -- in the center of the country as well as a northwest.

But you're gonna have a storm system once again.

We may not -- and that will move onshore by the time we head into Wednesday morning and it's going to be a much cooler system -- plan to see a little bit more snow with that system.

Is that of the one that we're seeing today that's just mostly rain.
