Grey -- storm chaser is getting quite the thrill capturing two tornadoes in Oklahoma on tape take a look at this.
-- -- -- The storm chaser John however field shot that footage near Cherokee Oklahoma on Saturday.
And he is our guest alive and thanks very much for being with a have you ever seen that before sort of a two -- two twisters in one -- and talk to us just how ferocious these war.
You know I I have seen something sort of similar a couple years ago but I've never seen -- almost strong tornadoes.
Just very close to each other -- -- a few miles and what we -- about a mile to a mile and a half away from these twisters.
And the inflow into these twisters -- so strong it felt like huge vacuum cleaner was just sucking all that warm air.
Into those tornadoes just incredible.
And flow into those storms and you know.
When I saw that I was kind of reminded of AS -- and twist here you know and -- happy -- tornadoes so.
It was something straight out of movies the now how fast were these tornadoes movie.
You know on on a day like Saturday storms will be moving at wiped -- fifty to sixty miles an -- so these tornadoes are moving.
Very fast and these twin tornadoes actually came within a couple miles of the -- of Cherokee.
Oklahoma and if it would just deviated -- to the right the people of that -- would have very much time do that -- didn't sheltered.
-- these tornadoes and it would have been hit by one.
And then up literally about three minutes later hit by the other one and one crazy thing -- -- -- -- shared -- was we saw about a hundred people just gaining outside and that.
JD Oklahoma watching these -- twisters have kind of that's strange sight to see.
That John we're look at its -- some more of your video here looks like you've got pretty close to it.
I got asked the obvious question you probably get asked this before but.
Why do you guys do this -- risking your lives.
Well you know some people may think we're kind of adrenaline junkies so to speak but for me.
It's more of a passion for whether you know body of area native just Philly had a passion for everything whether particularly severe weather.
And so the adrenaline rush kind of goes with with the job so to speak.
And really were kind of out there to kind of protect people from these thoughts were kind of that eyes on the ground for the National Weather Service and we had a get a better picture for -- they can issue warnings may be faster in give more time for people to ahead in the shelter.
