Thanks -- is a Bill O'Reilly you know -- -- -- Bernie segment tonight on CNN over the weekend there was a discussion.

About political operatives being hired by cable news organizations.

-- pundits.

When CNN or the cable networks higher contributors were also party -- reform party officials so we know whether it's called -- fox or Hilary Rosen -- Carville begala here or others and MSNBC.

It enables -- detractors when they get into a bit of verbal trouble to say.

How hot she Hillary Rosen she's speaking for Obama -- campaign put her up to this that's the price -- sees me cable networks pay when they hire people who kind of have a dual role.

It's true there's consequences and they have to start considering whether it's you damaging to the brandy son Glenn -- on -- Fox News.

And Bill O'Reilly and I do think that that damages the Fox News brand.

Well I can't be too much damage the Fox News brand is a fact is the highest rated primetime news program in the country.

Missile Mason is obviously woefully on informed.

Dick Cheney c'mon program John McCain very hesitant be interviewed by me when he ran for president I give you scores of other examples of Republicans -- warning part of the fact.

Joining us now from Miami to prevent her Bernard Goldberg dot com mr.

Goldberg says -- just a little don't know why.

I I hesitate to come on the factors that you can -- -- to that list now.

Look the here's the thing bill.

The honest short answer is I don't have a clue as to what she's talking about Howie -- raise the legitimate point when he talked about people who are -- Commentators on shows like this and political activists at the same time working for a party or candidate.

But the I mean if she was implying I gotta be honest I don't know what she was saying but if she was implying that you're in the tank.

The only tank that I can figure out that you're in is in the Bill O'Reilly tank you'll love Bill O'Reilly you'll ever see -- friendly to benefit of the doubt.

Yeah I mean you never thought well I think that the body is in a content question was fairly clear as you define.

All right you -- guys like big ally in Kabul.

And call roll you're hired apart you aren't party guys there that's what they did all right and then.

When they come in they're -- made it through the prism of the party.

And all of a sudden this woman comes on and those.

Glenn Beck and Bill O'Reilly.

Now that he's not in any party okay at all -- Beck is -- is and I'm certainly.

Not in any party and it gave you the examples of the -- -- Republicans that are.

Simply don't want -- commanded and do the -- here but.

I'm so tired of this.

Branding -- Fox News is a Republican outfit I can't tell you right.

Let me tell you what I think this is about since the her answer didn't make any sense let me give you an educated guess I think you.

You Bill O'Reilly have become the poster boy for every liberal complaint about anything.

On cable TV.

For a couple of reasons not because -- corrupt -- you the most biased person its because you the most well known person.

That's the problem and of course because you work for fox nobody out there is saying.

Cable TV would be so much better if we could only get rid of Dylan erratic.

I mean.

The people listening to us right now are saying who who -- he just say.

-- are well known that's the price you pay for being well known it is garbage I grant you that but some free advice from a friend.

If Barack Obama attacks you if the New York Times attacks U.

If the -- -- she'll respond if Julie.

Julie -- is -- about her though it's about CNN okay that's that's what it's about and CNN is a brand that goes all over the world and this is why.

I get annoyed because it's worth their while they being the liberal media.

That wants to reelect President Obama to marginalize.

An outfit.

That is not trying to get the president re elected not trying to get anybody elected in my opinion and yes we have people who are pro Republican on this network.

But it's worth it for them to marginalize that brings me to might he might my bigger point.

The media I -- -- I don't think I don't think Howie Kurtz.

Was doing that I think no nobody slippers that is easily said you're crazy.

O'Reilly does and having to do with the Republican Party and even his back -- could've done that he knows that he -- He said something like that you know he's he says some mealy mouth thing you didn't -- down like she should have -- okay -- it's okay.

-- there are all right that no larger point is -- folks get.

The folks know that the -- dishonest that the media now it's not in the business to report the news anymore all the news fit to print my you know what OK they're not there anymore.

-- there to advance an ideological -- So if the folks know it all the polls say they know what that means that the press not gonna have any real influence on the presidential election this -- they'll.

When you say the folks know and I think what you really mean is the folks who pay attention.

Well folks who also hold.

-- -- yes but the one so it may affect its not gonna affect anybody who pays attention because even liberals in these polls.

Say that the media is in the tank for Barack Obama right.

The -- so it may affect.

All the ones who are let's be generous and say who warrant paying close attention who aren't sophisticated.

When the media slant slept.

When they put on there you know short skirts again as they did last time around in their compounds.

And they say and they slanted in Barack Obama's favor.

That may affect the less sophisticated people if they go out to vote but it'll be amenable it'll be at the margin it will not in my view.

Determine the outcome of the election.

I think does that really matter anymore with the New York Times editorialize as we endorse so -- so that doesn't matter anymore everybody knows we're gonna endorse it matters a lot on the upper west side of Manhattan that's about it what are they going to be -- up there tomorrow.

Our eyes burning.
