Now by -- your mom -- associate publisher for social media -- and it at really gave her mom dot com and he's also with Eric.

OPR dot com you can get to him that -- as well.

-- and we also Alex Rodriguez joined us now which is good to know.

He's the chairman of the College Republican National Committee and we welcome to -- Erica when you hear this about the mommy wars.

In 2012.

I what does -- -- -- you.

I think at the end of the day for so I think both parties are handling it.

The women vote poorly no matter what the demographic is that there is always been this friction.

-- between women at work in women at home I personally I don't think there's anyone glorious job.

Then being able to raise your children but it is a job it's a very hard and and a lot of people will tell you just like -- is sad but I can't believe to be able to leave.

In the morning to go to work it's a very hard job to do.

But indeed the practicality of of the voter this year is all about.

What it cost to fill up the call are what the price of peanut butter is -- and what what's the value of my house because those things actually hit me directly every single morning.

But -- a male or female.

I don't.

Do you think aspect of the way the Democrats.

Have been handling this issue this issue and having to rein in Hillary Rosen from her comments.

Is going to be.

Something that's going to continued -- -- and they try to wiggle their way out of this controversy.

Absolutely and I disagree with those that say that this is an issue that's gonna go away I think we'll see that the women -- as we've heard earlier.

It's always important it's incredibly important this year it's one that.

Could the main demographic so we're looking -- to put together a winning coalition to be successful on November.

And this war on women rhetoric.

Has continued B speeds we have thrown out by the left.

And that and the Democratic National Committee comes out and condemns the comments -- couple days later they finally get Hilary Rosen -- command and apologize for her comments as well.

And yet they say they don't wanna use the language but you -- on the web site and you can buy a T shirt and a have to say war on women and so it's just an another example -- received from the left.

And this is -- -- this this election is about jobs the economy that the cost that it takes to fill up a tank of gasoline.

And working moms soccer moms hockey moms and stay at home moms know know a lot about that.

Yes indeed and -- -- -- -- the mama -- isn't -- they certainly know why is it that in this election season we are again having to.

Separate women from men when it comes in the economic issues was in terms of the -- -- Actually when we're where we don't have to what happens is somebody says.

Uses the wrong word says the wrong thing and it becomes an upcoming Bill Maher right.

Latest greatest example you know I still insisting less because in the Green with Herman Cain.

And -- -- -- like hey he he he could walk right up too much and there's not layers and layers of security he's not presidential campaign marked.

I -- how is it now -- -- a presidential candy said it's great I can say something and maybe even say it wrong and -- not turn into a national story.

That's what's gonna happen with everything that.

But the point isn't -- -- -- that taken and then also went beyond that is that.

The campaigns want to separate the men and women out when we keep hearing over and over again from women.

Stay at home moms and those who work outside the home that economic issues are as relevant and as important -- him as it is -- -- out there.

If this is -- can afford groceries we can't critical part of that that the majority of this country have to look at how much it cost to fill up.

The -- -- guess the majority of the country male or female -- doesn't make a difference.

As I -- we break these groups down and we say women voters Hispanic voters youth voters but at the end of the day all of them feel the effects of three the largest deficits in history trillion dollar deficit this president has went on.

Went on the American people as a and this election cycle because the economy is front and center in such a way that we have not seen in the last forty years.

Let's -- I think Republicans have a better plan ever stronger message and simply put they win on those issues and so.

As voters brought to the poll whether that they they're broken bow down my demographic based on.

Their gender or their religious affiliation.

Or anything else what unites them -- what unites voters across this country is the shared economic burden and 8% -- up 8% unemployment this country four dollar gasoline fifteen trillion dollar national debt.

And so that's why -- confident that we're gonna see voters of all demographics continue to leave the Democratic Party and invoke the Republican nominee.

You know Alex.

Erica mentioned Bill Maher I mean his latest comments I think if most people know who follow politics very closely.

I get -- seems to keep you know stoking the flames of the issue over and Romney and her toys can be a stay at home mom and continues to.

Make fun of her and as a publicly on his show.

How have raised that point going to say that the president.

Has said over and over again that -- wanted to raise the bar on the discourse wanted to.

Has often said that we don't need to go in into politics where it is very personal and a very negative way and yet.

They have expected a nine dollar contribution.

From Bill Maher from his blue platform committee and yet.

They're not.

Making apologies about that still.

Do you -- there's going to be a lot of pressure on the Obama campaign.

To have them do something about that contribution if they're going to.

Remain real in front of the voters about saying what they mean and you know and doing what they -- other people can do.

Well that's exactly right that we've -- the Democrats and present of -- wanna raise the bar.

Unless it comes to campaign donations -- it comes to -- need to pay the bills at that point they'll accept anyone's donation.

And Bill -- is the is the greatest example of that and this is Amanda tries to get away with his comments by saying -- I'm a comedian I'm not a democratic a politician and an activist.

But it's giving a one million dollar check.

Really does -- even with that campaign and in Alabama they hosted a fund raiser the -- -- a Democratic Party hosts a fund raiser with -- more so this man is more than just a punting he's more than a comedian.

He does have a role Democratic Party.

And it's unfortunate that those on the left doesn't have embraced.

His massage and in his awful calm -- -- he's directed towards.

Many conservative women throughout his entire career so the fact that he has done that Erica -- -- this isn't due in terms of political damage well.

All to get -- -- the first thing I'll say that Bill Maher has never heard on this network I love Bill Maher I watch it privileges.

I have his whole career I think he's very funny I think his show is it's I I think it's a great show.

I think that what he's done an -- that he didn't intend to do for his million dollars that he gave to President Obama.

Created a topic that we are going to be talking about.

Right through to the election and I don't think that that was his intent but keeping have been -- the White House should bring some pressure on him to you know to cool it you know -- just say.

Off my I think that it's a no -- allowed to -- -- Bill Maher I.

Saying everybody is ready to -- but he's interject himself her campaign I mean -- just because he gave a million dollars and you don't want us to say to himself again -- welcome well welcome but he gets to save himself.

I gave.

This candidate a million dollars now everybody's talking about it because of the comment that I may not sound really.

-- -- -- but he also said negative things with Sarah Palin and her family the other conservative women like Michelle Bachmann.

And yet when that -- nobody says anything from you know on the democratic side look at the -- you know let's take.

Television -- -- that -- gave us this he couldn't let's get a very civil here.

Well and I don't think that's I think that there's I think people on both sides will say let's keep it civil I don't think either side does -- its Republican army -- to be fair of the republic incident like that against any India.

Democratic women out there you know there will be a firestorm you know a little bit hurt and it absolutely is there any mystique no matter who you -- are from now until the election is going to get.

An awful lot you know I don't want in the past so from the -- I had -- -- -- -- anything I I I I don't want probably getting his ratings that's what he's probably -- put this conversation was that was pushed by.

After a donation from a Santorum backer that's on his comments on birth control.

It and so at the end of the day it's a double standard for Democrats disable this was one comment by one individual when they were fanning the flames out of the conservative movement.

And -- and it's not one -- it's it's a pattern.

Of hateful rhetoric it's a pattern.

Of the Democratic Party and especially bill Moore who was a part of that continue to make comments like you said about against Michelle Bachmann -- Sarah Palin.

And now sharpening his his -- towards and -- do you think and Romney.

Is the best.

Asset that the Romney campaign -- at this moment to put her up front and center are on the offensive to.

Show folks.

That you know her husband.

Is listening to women in America and that he does understand that -- necessary is not the only ambassador.

That he has when it comes to understanding what concerns women today.

What's the copyright there was an article couple days ago -- -- called and Romney.

The secret weapon of the Romney campaign and you're gonna see her continue to be put out more and go doing more appearances and that -- a birthday party here in Virginia couple days ago or yesterday.

And she does she -- -- women -- they understand.

The issues that she is gone through with her health and raising five boys I think she's incredibly strong surrogate for the governor.

And we're making a wonderful First Lady is well.

What you think though in our country culturally speaking -- That they're still seems to be a disconnect between.

Those who.

Some of about those who look at -- -- stay home and work with their children and raise it to make that choice to raise kids you know I don't I have not why is still seen as -- it.

And -- negative like something like that you've been the only -- -- then you can put them down.

In my opinion if it's -- actually understands right if you've had children -- understand what rights to raise children.

So you have a great deal of people that just maybe they never had children account like by the way they'll Mars one of his kids is no idea what it takes to be home every day to deal with car pools and launches and grades and tutors and I mean all of the things that we do to raise kids.

So I think -- launched by the time it just doesn't get it.

If you raise children you know that is a serious job and I believe the greatest job that anybody could ever want to do.

Any female employee that I have ever had who's come into my office and to tell me they're resigning because they want to go home and raise their children.

No matter how much I want -- to -- I say that is a seriously good choice the just.

Now you're one of the good guys definitely come -- -- and I and I applaud you for that.

-- -- my shift gears a little beer and talk about Mitt Romney and his stature.

Within the Republican Party you know right now -- supposed to happen -- The least favorability rating since.

-- any -- many candidates since the early he's.

Let me ask you this.

-- -- -- the fact he spoke for a big group of Republican donors fundraisers.

A fund -- And he talked about the fact that Fox News.

Had what he called true believers on the on the on his team so basically anything we also need to go up and independence and the women's vote and that.

Upset a lot of conservatives out there who are saying OK here we go again here's a person -- doesn't get it.

That.

You are putting conservatives in one group and trying to go after.

What he thinks are independents and women who aren't independents who may not be conservative women coming up because they're a -- what I don't understand.

Why what he's trying to drive -- and it just gonna -- put a wedge between Romney and the conservatives who are doing their best to try to.

Stomach the fact that he's going to be the nominee in their words.

Well look I think he does get it.

He was in Washington and met with leaders of conservative organizations.

Just the last couple of days -- -- conservative leaders around the country come out for for governor Romney.

National Organization for Marriage national right to life -- so many other groups -- understand that it's time to coalesce behind the governor.

And -- and -- -- still would make this stand and say it this way why can't even talk I'm more elevated level of talk about.

You know these groups and you know look everybody as one as opposed to saying we're gonna go -- -- that independents are gonna go after women you know I'd say there's conservatives here.

On the side it would basically don't have to worry about because.

There's a true believers.

-- worry about them I think it's unfair to say that but I think he has to lay out a strategy to first successful campaign and that's what he's doing so when he's talking to his donors and his supporters.

He needs to say this is how I'm gonna be successful.

Gallup polling shows that governor Romney's -- 80% of of those very conservative.

And I don't I think he does play well and we'll see with an eventual vice presidential pick.

And I'm sure will continue to short the conservative base.

But Gallup also says the governor Romney is leading present Obama independents by six points.

-- and together those numbers give us a victory in November and that's what's important.

All right let's talk about guess when president -- in the final moments we have left here.

Gasoline continues to be a big issue as we've been talking about being on economic issue a new Fox News -- Asked the question -- -- can put it up there how much of a threat are high gasoline prices to the economic recovery as you can see there 47% say extremely serious -- -- serious going 40%.

And also.

That that the poll also was President Obama is is he taking after taking -- action to reduce gas prices.

Could do more doesn't want to 50% that's of people are saying he wants to but can't we some -- How much of a factor is is going to be there though right handed out from last week for example have -- my -- his contention is.

That's.

From the president's going to make a deal with the saudis.

And they're gonna flood the market you know what with new gasoline reserves of oil reserves and that's going to cement the deal for him for the election it's going to be like an eleventh hour you know.

Hail Mary pass and that -- back and do you believe that kind of thing is well I saw the interview I -- but I but -- -- complete.

That Sharon is it very accurate about as.

Because we're gonna talk about numbers and different blocs of voters and -- set them -- every which way to Sunday until the election.

What matters most is going to be the four to six weeks before.

We actually go to vote and what's happening now so if that's going to be one of the president's -- -- I don't know what.

What happens in the four to six weeks before we go to vote will determine -- -- -- president realistically out her final thoughts on that.

Well look this is this is another example the only policies of this administration cares about are those that helps them get reelected.

You know April 2011 he announces a commission to investigate oil -- -- We're a year later is holding a press conference in the Rose Garden today that's nothing more than a photo -- that commission has only held four meetings most of which held at the beginning of its of its existence.

And he continues.

To block real plans real opportunities and real options don't lower gas prices.

-- -- -- -- from -- -- -- can deal with the saudis to flood the market with oil reserves.

I still have a little bit hopeless not looking at a OK -- Our I thank you both for joining us today great to have both Dion and -- always we will check back with you guys that throughout this campaign.
