I wanna bring somebody into the conversation right now of -- a whole lot of fun in his own right Rich Lowry the editor of the national review and -- Fox News Channel contributor.

He -- the -- and he does -- so well.

-- he's bringing with -- -- bias -- this morning we can watch it on a regular basis on FOX News Watch.

Posted by John Scott on Saturday afternoons at 2:30 PM all right Rick you've been watching several things tell -- what you got going on.

It via the president's gas price speech yesterday and it -- it inching Harris.

Conundrum for the media because in the media -- when any president -- a speech yesterday a report in a way says.

But win -- -- -- when he says something that's so ridiculous and so juvenile.

And so clearly politically motivated as to suggest that -- of their few evil manipulator is that our.

Driving -- Gas prices for their at their own benefit when the president himself has been saying for weeks now it's a world market and -- you know -- the United States can have influence on and no one person can influence.

All of a sudden there and he is nasty speculators and every time that that price of gas goes.

President Obama points still an end suggests a few cosmetic proposals -- you know a little more funding for this agency and I think finds here.

So that most outlets sort of reported this -- -- straight face that is don't think it's served him.

If you're saying.

You're in the crowd what would you have done differently.

Well what I've done differently if our reporter the only thing they're what is the one question that you think just didn't get asked.

Well wanna ask him the planet's made you as president -- State's most powerful man in the world say you have no influence over.

Gas prices because -- such a complex and large world market which happens to be.

The case I mean no one can -- waives wave a wand.

So why Allison are you know couple shadowy figures supposedly have great influence over this.

Oil market and also didn't -- -- thing I always wonder about an issue speculation comes up.

There are few people that have such power in this market that they can determine the price to their own benefit -- they do it all the time.

They should be punitive -- the price of -- should always before dollar -- -- never go beneath that Franken -- -- be in there and their interest never real headache -- Beneath that but obviously that's not the case because there are a lot of other and factors that that drive the price again.

It's very interesting.

I kind of turn it -- speculators.

Are the problem but then I seen.

Administration speculating not just this one but that's kind of what they do I think when you pick somebody like a solicitor -- need more.

I half a billion dollars of taxpayer money into it you're basically saying I picked this one to -- -- -- -- Yeah loading unit and there -- -- shows tremendous hubris in thinking that I need as a person.

Well I think it's it's hubris because that they think that they can -- the market players.

That are going to be best over time and I think there's there's a real contradiction here because it's something like Solyndra makes sense of the business model.

That's.

You know work overtime guess what it's gonna raise a lot of capital from private sources because people want to invest rioted in Horry county -- not much taxpayer correct say ethnicity that's a -- going concern you know need to put taxpayer money into it.

But it's not a going concern and it's kind of a marginal -- -- Then why are you putting taxpayer money and -- I don't think it makes sense from either side of the -- All right and I know this morning -- also watching.

Of what you call it pandering perhaps.

Isn't just -- -- gas prices -- are we going to have to see more of what you kind of maybe give me a couple of other examples.

One of the things have been talking out of the panel is that.

Even though Newt Gingrich says he's going to Pennsylvania -- he's going to compete for the GOP nomination for president.

It's always done it looks like it's going to be Mitt Romney I mean I don't think anybody would argue with that since Rick Santorum has now pulled out of the race for the nomination.

And it would seem.

That.

You got two guys.

There's been some criticism of the past rich and you know it.

That Mitt Romney has gotten more negative press -- President Obama.

So talk to me a little bit give me some examples of the press telegraph if you will what we might say.

Well.

You here's another issue the last two weeks has been huge the gender gap.

And I think this isn't an issue where that the press really.

Simple -- things in such a way that it creates big.

Misunderstandings.

There's no such thing as a women's know like a monolithic.

Women's vote.

On and there's no evidence that women just can vote on women's issues.

I think is a totally -- on this creative at a press if you break down the women's vote even -- polls there's a pew poll that a week ago.

Showed Romney losing by twenty points among women get a huge gap.

They look inside that he's tied among white women and getting wiped out by seven -- eight points among African American and Latino.

Women you look within the white women -- he's winning right women who don't have a college education in losing.

White women who do have a college education.

So that there's no such thing as a monolithic.

Women's but I think it's something that we're gonna hear over and over again is that.

Isn't it just can't get up.

Rich Lowry is -- Smart there.

You and I appreciate you being here -- actually advise that you see of the media.

Thank you very much.

I'm -- where did take a quick break I'm continuing to watch our and you see you at three -- on Saturdays at 2:30 PM with Jon Scott posted.
