Fox this -- we just told you about the Labor Department just releasing their brand new weekly jobless numbers and it's more than expected.

386001.

Time unemployment claims were filed last week.

It's all about jobs jobs still the number one issue in the upcoming November election so how does the man who want to be president.

How does he think he can fix that Mitt Romney joins us right now from Charlotte, North Carolina commodities.

Good morning -- OK so the president has been out.

Over the last couple of days and over the last couple weeks yesterday he's talking about investments in the future -- in front of a -- it's college kids.

-- that's really the key for America.

He's a little iffy on details when it comes to how he would create jobs how -- you do.

Well it's pretty straightforward you want to make America the most attractive place in the world for ought to put doors for innovators.

For job creators.

And what the president has done instead has made it harder and harder for a small business to grow or for a big business to decide to hire more people.

So what -- try -- do is get tax rates that are competitive with other nations for corporations and for particularly for small corporations.

You also make regulators see their job is encouraging business rather than trying to crush them.

You you have banking regulations -- like Dodd-Frank.

That are easy to follow that allow small banks to make loans to small start -- businesses.

You take advantage -- energy resources here in this country by drilling for oil using our natural gas to delegate developing our coal resources.

You open up new markets for American goods I know.

Some organized labor bosses don't want that to happen and that's why the president has dragged his feet on that but you gotta.

Got to open up markets so we can sell products around the world.

The president unfortunately has taken every single path.

That is led towards a restriction and job growth has made it harder for new businesses to start up -- -- of fact the number of startups.

Per year has dropped by a 100000.

Per year from from this is just unacceptable and and it's one of the reasons why it's been so hard for this economy to recover.

I the president is gonna travel to Ohio and Michigan both important states for him and we heard a little of him yesterday in Ohio.

And governor for a moment listened to President Obama who kinda sounds like a Republican here.

-- I've never believed the government can or should try to solve every problem we've got.

I believe that the free market is the greatest force for economic progress in human history.

I agree that everybody has personal responsibility for their own lives.

Airbus got to work -- nothing's ever handed to us.

But I also agree what our first Republican president.

A guy named Abraham Lincoln.

Who says that.

Through government.

We should be able to do together what we can't do as well.

-- Clearly governor the president is making a pitch for independence and I saw and one of the recent Gallup polls you're actually beating him with independents.

How are you going to out -- him in that department.

Well by by showing a record as opposed to rhetoric.

The president has always been good at at saying things that sound wonderful.

But you know we now have not just his words but his record.

We've seen for three and a half years the policies of Barack Obama play out.

And as they played out we've seen that he has not been able to and the high level of joblessness.

He has not been able to see rising incomes as a matter of fact incomes have gone down during his term.

He's not been able to turn around the housing market and in fact housing prices have still.

I've gone down that foreclosures two point eight million a record number of foreclosures.

The president's record is not one we'd like to see for another four years.

I think the American people recognize were not better off for years after Barack Obama came into office we're worse off.

And despite the flowery rhetoric the record is terrible and we need someone who can get the country working again.

With rising and comes in bright prospects for our kids speaking -- rhetoric he had some fiery rhetoric rhetoric pointed at you yesterday he said.

Unlike some people I wasn't born with a silver spoon in mind now.

Well.

You know the president is.

It is really taking aim -- anybody can find these days.

If in fact in my case I'm so and I -- apologize for my dad and his success in life he was born poor.

He.

Worked his way to become very successful despite the fact that he didn't have a college degree and one of the things he wanted to do was provide for me and for my brother and sisters I'm not gonna apologize for my -- success.

But I know the president likes to attack fellow Americans he's always looking for a scapegoat particularly those that have been successful like my dad.

And I'm not gonna rise to that that this is a time for us to solve problems that -- a not a time for us to be attacking people we should be attacking problems and if I'm president.

I will stop the attack on fellow Americans.

Stop the attack on people and start attacking the problems that have been looming over this country.

Rory Mitt Romney candidates from the stump today down in North Carolina to particular much for -- -- little time for fox inference that.

Thanks Steve good to be with you this we -- Q it's well.
