Walking all foreign places and people behaving badly as you well know by now some of -- Secret Service agents did exactly that.

When they with attending the summit of the Americas in preparation for president's.

Our rival that last week and some of those Secret Service agents apparently hooked up.

-- -- -- Prostitutes no less so -- on.

Makes people think that just because there -- -- they can get away with behavior that they wouldn't dream of indulging in it if they were at -- home.

The man and it was the opposite of that is the author of this book better than normal how -- makes you different.

Can make -- exceptional here with us today belted out to doctor good to see you as always could -- -- -- -- what is going through someone's mind when they behave like this in a foreign country.

They think the rules don't apply.

Well obviously these guys thought they were on spring right.

And when you think about it the rules really don't apply a lot of these countries a lot of -- have legalized prostitution.

Legalized.

Or decriminalize marijuana and a lower drinking so it's -- like a Disney World for adults.

The only problem here of course is that these are Secret Service agents -- involved with our presidential security so you know -- have it done.

And a big difference in terms.

Joseph terrorists who goes there to have a good time and thanks it'll never come back to you ask vs someone who's an official about some good social what is it.

If it in this particular case we can talk about you know normal folks behaving badly but in this particular case with highly trained individual's rights like Secret Service -- we should point out of course that.

99.9.

Percent of Secret Service agents are great people whom ever do anything like this never do anything wrong.

But these ones want gets in their heads is it a sense of entitlement that sense of.

How are what -- what does it come from well obviously there was alcohol involved and and and then your head in setting where again it's not against the law and I suspect that some of them are gonna use the defense that.

I didn't know she was prostitute I thought it was this beautiful Colombian won't -- and we went out had a good time and the next thing you know we welcome the next morning.

And she's asking for money.

So patient -- Clearly.

It's.

A foreign country legalized prostitution alcohol involved and that a little bit of boys will be boys -- if there were but that's what.

Re -- -- there's a -- -- in the discipline.

That the discipline that is instilled in them I mean I'd I'd.

The hung out with Secret Service agents involves admittedly but I've never seen them misbehave in any kind of when never -- to drink too much even 88 seems to me that something.

Clicked in these guys and -- would just wonder what -- that can be.

Well again focus of their week out before the president's Iraq you have a big group of military personnel Secret Service personnel it's almost like for Turkey like -- Here -- this is pro and anti drug group mentality.

You get a big group of guys they're going out there have a few drags guys -- -- guys the next thing you know there's beautiful women all around.

One guy says -- you know about the governor pick up one and then it's a domino effect so absolutely there's a group mentality.

And you know we see -- a lot -- and you have a group rule that will override.

Your personal morals sometimes so you can just get you can just sort of get looted along the year that -- it's a herd mentality everyone else is doing that.

And it you have the next thing you know you're involved and -- -- like the brain shuts off and you got a guy -- everyone else is doing it's really legal it's a big deal -- got a couple drinks and you make a very -- -- such -- -- makes an interest -- going to -- Johnson American should always act with very high morals and other countries.

Just because it's legal doesn't mean it's right that's that's a fair point yeah.

You have that I don't know I think I'm gonna draw very distinct line here between the average -- that goes out.

21 of these countries whether it's three hour -- -- Carnahan are Amsterdam you know what they choose to do in a country that's legal that's up to them.

But when you're representing the US I think it's a big difference and I really think that a lot of folks in our choosing these destination spots but -- of the fact that the lax rules apply -- but again these -- tourist -- -- are different.

-- represented at.

Gloria are writing in -- -- -- -- the Secret Service have a code that when your -- the US you still following US law prostitution is illegal common sense would say they have to be five if they do this and we know.

So -- three of course -- -- have been on the force that all fired.

Probably more heads -- gonna roll in this.

It's it's going to be an interest saying it legal battle I think because I think some of merger and clearly -- I look I didn't know this one was a prostitute right and so that's -- -- we heard that one potential lawsuit.

Was being talked -- and -- -- one of the terminated agents so I think that's going to be that fast -- -- Haven't you talk about the herd mentality at that we see -- do we see a similar thing.

With the general services administration and that scandal -- spending all this money in Vegas and these -- swanky trips they took everywhere in the making of these videos.

Absolutely and -- a fascinating book called mobs with size and markets which talks about -- mentality is present at -- market and mob mentality.

And you talk about individuals.

Who have a good moral compass.

Within themselves you get caught up in his group action.

And you do things you wouldn't copper and doing so.

Yet there's a culture where people are spending money there lavish parties and everyone's doing it.

Then your -- moral rules what oftentimes be corrupted by the group if we didn't all the time he's.

-- wave for an individual to kind of god against that to have that in their minds -- -- against being drawn into that kind of thing.

I think that the only way you can do that is to be forewarned that this is -- a phenomenon most individuals think you know I know what my rules are I know what my morals are unarmed steadfast in that.

But a lot of times these cultures are insidious.

And if you start getting drawn into on.

And build the lines get blurry and the next thing you know you're doing things in retrospect you look back at his side.

That's not me that's not -- Do but it is but you -- what you would what you do you have to if you're in that situation.

You have to focus on your own moral code and keep reminding yourself you have to keep reminding yourself and you also have to have a very firm line in your mind about how we're going to -- And that's often times what we see is that the line is -- And it becomes even do you have that like you put that line eating you mind.

Before you go out that evening if you're that Secret Service agent again there there is slightly different category.

But -- -- the average Joseph at a bachelor party all wanted to friends that you have and lining -- mind I will not cross a line you have to just keep drilling Angel before you even stop the dream.

I mean I think you have to drill it and you and you're right because of course the one thing we know about alcohol is that alcohol will absolutely -- moral stance.

And any thing that -- -- think about doing when you're completely sober.

When you get to be intoxicated of course we know what we call this embryo which is our moral compass -- Would then is the turn off.

Completely yeah.

Clinically proven thing that we have a moral compass and it just gets like -- sideways while throwing define the super ego back a 150 years ago and of course is embryo is that is our conscience it's what.

Determines -- that is what we define -- right.

Vs wrong so I think psychologically we all have that we -- have that line.

It's when the line gets corrupted either in a situation or with a group activity.

That's -- often good people get corrupted due.

Individually would never think about doing some of these acts but in a group herd mentality they follow along with the pack.

All right well I would like to point out that nobody got corrupted notables were broken -- -- bachelor party this weekend.

But we roll finally behaved young men because -- -- the line ahead of time we drew the line ahead of time and we -- to -- orient.

No we didn't think it was all very good could often don't today Lott -- author -- better than normal how what makes it different can make few exceptional great to have you here again once again they'll today will get a beer it'll say okay I believe --
