-- warming hysterics could soon face a cold hard truth some glaciers.

Are actually growing.

French scientists studying satellite images have discovered the glaciers in Asia and actually increased in size over the past nine years -- well.

Watching this Chris Horner is a senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute he joins us today from Virginia.

Chris I thought the glaciers were all disappearing and now you're telling me that they're getting bigger.

I you could say most are getting bigger because most of the glaciers are found it down under in an -- -- And that is cooling despite -- -- prior claims and growing but around the world around the United States.

South America day here in Canada Asia Europe glaciers are in fact growing as well as ever shrinking but.

Frozen things have a very limited repertoire and they tried to read much too much into select -- shrinking in in South America there's one that was retreating receding.

And thirty miles away it was one that was grumbling and time magazine and all the paparazzi were only taking the picture the one that was behaving properly because -- -- in with their narrative.

And part of the narrative was that -- and some glaciers in the Himalayas we're gonna be completely gone.

Just a little bottle by 2035.

And I don't know anyone at 34 yeah exactly and now you're saying that some of them are growing a little bit.

Which is just the way glaciers operate as -- There's something between 151054000.

Glaciers there what should tip you off.

We don't have a lot of data they've got data on about ten.

And they were claiming that the Himalayan glaciers were melting and the reason they claim that -- politicians wanted to say the global warming was going to lead to global conflict because of drinking water and so -- And then -- through an awful lot of money at this issue because of all of the hysteria and -- picture we found out that in fact now.

They're growing -- you they respond to local conditions but what we're doing is pointing out that the hysteria is just that and they were trying to re -- the American economy as wells.

The foreign policy and so on on the basis of a theory that proved to be grounded in little more than hysteria.

All right so Chris what does this do to their argument that everything you know -- big globe is getting warmer and everything's mountain.

Well I did they have yet to let facts stand in the way of their argument about what it does it content continues to educate the public.

Because places of this emotional type people and you can point to them.

But we're going to point to the ones growing -- -- to Mount Rainier mount saint helens -- national park in Canada all over and point out that.

Do their theory is wrong.

You don't we could continue spending money on the pursuit of knowledge which seems to terrify them.

Instead of redesigning the American economy fundamentally -- president wants to share this is surprising you know I haven't heard on the other channels that does some of the -- are getting bigger.

But that's why people watch funny though when you do you know you'll hear that they script at this rate this ice mass will kill us all and they'll find a way to blame it on you of course or George Bush why aren't accurate starter as a plug connector which are -- Okay.
