Fun -- -- now on army staff sergeant Travis mills a member of the 82 airborne who lost all four of his limbs last week.

In Afghanistan we've been following this story all week along as Travis has returned to the United States.

A sergeant mills was on his third tour of duty in Afghanistan.

When he was injured by this IED explosion and he's already had emergency surgery in Germany.

He's back in the United States at Walter reed Army Medical Center in Washington in joining us now on the phone from Washington is a family friend David -- Who's now running -- by the way Travis mills.

Dot org and David we were able to speak to Kelsey Travis his wife on Monday is my understanding that the families getting a briefing right now -- how he's doing what can you tell us about.

His condition right now.

While Travis is in good spirits the -- surgery again this morning to go back and clean up the wounds there and they're open to be able polls at least a couple of up maybe one of the legs or the arms.

So we're we're -- encouraged by that news.

And like contrast is in great spirits she joked -- alternative nurses and family -- And dual agenda.

All the organizations out there that are that are raising funds trying to help these families then.

And the wounded soldiers is very compact and that's basically what we're trying to do is that is Travis was their -- -- -- a lot of expenses.

Of course will be covered by.

The military.

Just the traveling back and forth from both the lost work hours of the family and and just expense that you and I can't imagine -- they're gonna have this -- alternate that contrast.

Experience with this so lifelong.

Defense is the student told -- that -- the year yesterday and then.

And so we want to raise enough money that we continue to take care trips and family.

You know the next 4050 years that that he's gonna have hopefully a very enjoyable life.

And we're seeing him with is -- his new daughter clearly she's -- -- then his beautiful wife Kelsey and just real quicker David I'm gonna have to run but there is some issues with the website.
