Hello and welcome to justice on judge -- -- George Zimmermann is still behind bars tonight unable to make bail for now today's -- government attorneys spoke to reporters.

-- lot of money -- up with a 150000 dollars is a lot of collateral.

This does not fit you must mean it's obviously I think we don't know that from the -- -- itself so it's tough.

Yesterday during its bond hearing -- stunned courtroom watched as Jordan's government took the stand.

I wanted to -- I am sorry.

For the loss of your son.

I did not know how old he was I thought he was a little bit younger than I am and I did not know if he was armed or not.

That was George -- in court on Friday apologizing.

Bail was set any amount of 150000.

Dollars joining us now is the attorney for the trade on mark's family Benjamin problem.

Benjamin thanks so much for being with us this evening.

Thank you -- -- right what what was trade bonds families reaction to that apology.

Well there was an emotional day from all around is Tracy Morris and how well throughout the here and and then there's really believed.

-- government's apology was very insincere.

Is very self serve and and it was one of those things.

Is fifty days later.

And the fact that he never apologize before this.

He had been real -- Zimmerman web site that he said he thought that and that everything that was important and relevant that he had to say he was gonna say it.

And nowhere on that website did he have a say I'm sorry I -- show remorse for -- and -- rom mark.

And of course.

See -- you see you saying it's self serving and that it really is for his own benefit.

With the court with the judge and with the public.

Yes ma'am we we really -- -- -- ulterior motives and that.

To do this at a bottom here and the first of all you take the stand then you don't present any evidence -- is supposed to be addressed in the court but then you -- To sneak apology and to the family -- -- same.

Very.

Insincere.

All right and and and what was interesting is when a prosecutor rob to cross examine.

Has never been which is every prosecutor's dream to get a defendant in murder case on the stand before the jury actually gets there.

And of course it was limited by the judges.

Sustaining the objections by the defense it's kind of an interesting approach by the defense so to thank.

Yes ma'am did -- it was so proud and lebed's it's would limit the prosecutor because.

Zimmerman voluntarily.

Took the stand.

And why should do that.

It's.

And -- holds barred you put yourself in that situation -- for the -- to limit it.

Did jazz didn't make sense then he gets to give up and do our self service -- -- And the prosecutor Devin Gibson attack his credibility and -- and -- there's always an issue of a defendant.

No question about it Benjamin -- to tell you as someone who as a litigator tried many hot -- homicide cases.

The first thing I would have gone for it is you're all -- an apology.

Are you telling us that you are sorry they ended it.

Are you telling -- did you made a mistake.

Are you telling message and did something wrong if not what do you apologizing for.

I mean that is just a tremendous opportunity for the prosecution to go away after a defendant -- murder case but that's just me.

Anyway let let me move on.

Zimmerman was arrested in 2005.

For assault on a police officer resisting arrest.

Required to go into anger management as a result of his completing the program they out now dismiss a felony charges.

Then we find out that -- government ex girlfriend got a protective order against him.

Because she says that.

He apparently slapped around them and -- -- down.

But what does it and it was two -- family upset about the fact that this alleged violent history.

Where they issued and an injunction against him assaulting the ex girlfriend where he was arrested for felonies wasn't enough to keep him in jail.

If you know it was very interest in that the dad same to.

I guess it's -- Zimmerman saw position that the police we're light years.

You know that -- heat.

It did not solve them and that he didn't obstruct justice and that that was OK and that was trouble until the family that it was one of those strategists say.

Why does everybody.

Try to protect him it seems like everything he does he gets a pass on it.

And as much as well happen on February 26.

They were saying is he -- get a pass on this too.

Well -- speaking of February 26 we're just now seeing the photograph.

Our -- the back of George -- environments head.

And I am sure that as you can see on the screen right now does -- -- you questioned the authenticity.

Of this photo.

Given the fact that Zimmerman head in the video -- then apparently -- an hour or so.

Of the actual assault showed none of the blood and do they question the the blood.

And that -- -- of the blood.

That if you're big hitting I -- amends you're hence being banged against cement what the blood not splatter -- little bit why wouldn't go to be.

Either side of the head as opposed to down and -- ahead and -- do nice question this at all.

Did -- you know you hear them have a right on and they are that is rare clearly bad.

It doesn't seem to be consistent wolf -- Zimmerman told the police about him the -- from Martin being in his -- repeatedly into the pavement.

And threat when you look at -- you say.

-- any -- have to stitch it up they -- -- bandages dating go to the hospital for a how bad it could have -- -- hand and that's a situation where.

There's only one photo apparently and if it was dead -- win trying.

Professional police department takes multiple photographs that we can really see the extent of these entries.

Now Benjamin was photo taken at the scene.

Who released that photo who took the phone.

I asked.

Has -- -- no.

It has they've -- photograph taken on a cell phone.

As so we do question authenticity have it as a situation room where.

The police.

Good police work would have been at a lot more than that to document injury if there really aware of something that he would have in this -- fairness argument -- home.

You will want to know everything to either support or defeat his theory of self defense but that's not what was done here well we have at this one photograph.

Well I had to tell -- as I look at that photograph it is that they the you know the flow the blood is very unusual I mean if the -- was as he described it.

The blood wouldn't just go straight down that -- -- splattered up a little bit it would have gone down the middle I mean it just and the -- itself.

But but you know that's something I guess we'll have to you know we look at at the trial but.

A Benjamin finally the next big step here is the hearing that will be conducted regarding the stand your ground -- and as you well know.

A judge in hearing that evidence.

That will be presented by the defense has the opportunity and the ability that power to actually dismiss the charges.

And of what of course you know you talk about trade -- family being a little disappointed at all they.

You know the benefits said Zimmerman it's gotten I mean how confident are they in the system right now.

Well -- in this -- the special prosecutor has said just -- They wouldn't have charged him -- of second degree murder -- not panicking get a conviction.

They've had a chance to look at all the evidence -- it so they feel confident in their case.

Which is very concerned about the stand your ground law because.

Where the family wanted most was to have -- judge and a jury.

Listen to all the evidence and have a jury of his peers Brenda -- -- -- -- -- evidence and they say it.

They can Leo -- up and accept the rule of law.

But to stop it before it gets to a jury will be very disheartened to -- Sabrina trade bonds -- It's an ally -- can certainly understand that but as you well know at this hearing.

The evidence is by preponderance of the evidence not a reasonable doubt which is simply -- tipping of the scales a little bit.

If the defendant cannot convince a judge.

That he was standing his ground but we'll see what happens but thank you so much for being with us this evening.

Thank you just pure and the -- could raise their thoughts to you as well and vice Versa thank you.
