Hi everyone I'm meteorologist Mario Molina -- the fox extreme weather center with your forecast for the north the last.

And also the midwest and we are seeing a big cool down along the coastal areas like Seattle and Portland where today.

Here -- seeing highs early -- -- even seemingly mean only into the low sixties for Seattle but -- as we head into interior portions of the northwest.

The heat is still on extremely warm out across Montana 84 degrees for -- high temperature some of these highs are actually over 25 degrees.

Above was typical for this coming year -- even Salt Lake City take a look at you guys.

87 degrees will be your high this afternoon that's a warmer than it's gonna be in Florida some very -- stuff.

And I also -- out across portions of the midwest 191 will be behind Doug singing ninety North Platte.

And then across -- greatly it's relatively cool high temperatures into the sixties.

And only into the fifties in the city of Detroit were expecting a high temperature at 59 degrees and really -- reason why we're seeing such a warm up out west.

And a -- down in the east is that we do have a large ridge of high pressure.

And basically are catching was way off to the north and then takes a dip down.

Further out towards the east or just south of the great -- -- we have acted as we see that cooler air filtering on in from Canada and then when you have that -- you see that warmer air pushing northward.

And really bringing up those temperatures across portions of the plains and also into the northwest so again.

Seeing a bit -- -- divide here with our jet stream and a big temperature contrast and as far as precipitation goes you are gonna have some showers.

Right on that Jackson so areas in Montana you're gonna see some showers.

And also for their up to the south across portions of the great makes -- this is going to be very light activity not expecting big promise.

Our next big storm system will be arriving -- into the Pacific northwest.

As we head into -- Wednesday and also into your Thursday and behind that system you will be dealing with the cool down.

So do expect some of that rain to transition over to snow by Thursday morning and that system we'll continue to head eastward.

Over the next few days of course we'll keep an eye on that otherwise the midwest you're also going to be deal with some showers ahead of the storm system the Dakotas.

And areas basically some rain for your morning commute there on Thursday morning.

Have a great day everyone I'm meteorologist Mario Molina in the fox -- -- senator.
