Well it's a big night for governor Mitt Romney is he didn't GOP nominee.
-- and Michelle Bachmann joins us good evening -- -- good evening Greta I is not a fish body swept.
Five big night for him tonight he did this is governor Romney's night this was this tennis told the tale I don't think anyone really thought this was going to be in contention.
But I think this really was turning the page in the Romney campaign and ultimately to gain access to the White House because now.
What we need know that we need to do is make sure that Obama -- a one termer and I think Mitt Romney is the man to do it does that mean you're ready to endorse governor Romney.
Well I've been working very hard for the last few weeks to be able to unite our party that's really been my focus it isn't about me.
It's about defeating Barack Obama's I've been working at the Tea Party candidate and conservative social conservatives to try to bring people together and I think we're making a lot of progress.
Let's why don't you just endorse and I'm curious mess and senator working everybody together but now that it's sort of fait accompli mean everyone I mean.
I really as a speaker Gingrich is not -- moved -- -- but why why not endorse him if he's a party -- taking you rather have him president then.
-- bad -- Obama president.
I know that I don't want pres Obama and a second term that goes without even saying but -- what what my focus has been again.
Not on me I'm not important part put it you don't look me in the victory that he's put together is extremely impressive but I ended Tea Party looks to you I think Stacy and I think that you got a lot of supporters out there and I think they're sort of -- -- Because Nelson of the party is coalescing people by wondering when it Weathers Rick Santorum -- Rick Santorum.
He's -- -- -- with governor Romney made but we know now and I and the thing is I have been -- said that I will back the nominee I think that it's becoming very apparent before nominee will be.
But it hasn't been about giving it endorsed her -- holding an endorsement.
My work has really been behind the scenes behind -- -- are working with real people to draw the party together.
And that's what I want to continue to do speaker Newt Gingrich is still and he lost tonight in Delaware which was hoping to win that was one what is your advice for him.
Well the speaker will know what to do it's up to -- I know what my decision was when it who became very clear that I wouldn't be the nominee.
I beg chose to leave the race and that I've been trying to work to make sure that our nominee will be the winner and -- and Newt Gingrich and make his decision.
The focus rightly is on Barack Obama and his failed policies.
And how we need to have an agenda that's gonna get people back to work it gets some loose strings that I mean you've got it is party isn't all united if everyone has endorsed this in a -- he hasn't clinched all the delegates have you still got people in the race and in there are some -- to some studio -- quite honestly this is pretty this is pretty low on the priority level because the biggest priority of all.
His coming together that's what we're doing.
I'll be remembered don't forget.
The Democrats for a complete and total disarray in June of the election year.
We're going to be more than united by the time June arrives -- is governor Romney the conservative.
Well that's what the voters are choosing right now I think that he's got -- he's got a very good record.
In a number of different areas and he's explaining that record she's doing that in the -- policies he sent us an idea of I -- but the point is.
He's he is satisfying people across the country in the primary -- is overwhelmingly.
He's satisfying them because they're giving him -- -- I think that's pretty strong endorsement -- and now we showed the viewers know that day you came here essentially from the airport where have -- -- Well I left last Thursday for Afghanistan to visit our troops I was in Afghanistan I was with.
Our general there general Allen and also the ambassador Graham -- but even more so I was with hundreds of troops all across Afghanistan.
I was in the number one trauma hospital which is -- camp leather neck that's down by I'm Helmand Province.
And I went to the united Arab -- I also went up to cutter and I met with the American I think it's why should give a shout out to the end top doctor in the hospital atop nurse in the hospital because where they from I.
-- -- from my district I was absolutely thrilled I had no idea the number one trauma hospital in the world is didn't serving our guys and gals.
In Afghanistan and the top doctor is doctor Morris he's from Woodbury Minnesota.
And the top nurse is Lisa Johnson from elk river Minnesota I'm extremely proud that in the top two professionals.
Running that hospital -- from Minnesota.
You people who let me it's tough to Galileo and Afghanistan back in a week and it's tough to get this -- -- place it is just it's a good fourteen hour trip to Tampa trickling in but when you actually get there and see it -- it makes it would be really understand I mean -- really -- -- understand better to do your job -- it really does because the big question -- -- it isn't the right thing to be there should be get out.
In my opinion has been when President Obama said we are going to be out by 2014 come hell or high water.
I thought well if you're if your goal isn't to win and be successful.
Why even -- one more human life -- that's that your goal.
But what I went over this weekend and I mean I literally I spoke with hundreds and hundreds of our soldiers over there and to a person there on the mission.
Granted they're getting up at five and 6 in the morning they're working solid until 11:12.
O'clock at night because their goal is.
By the time 2014 hands they want to hand over the reins of winning this effort against the radical Islamic jihadist.
It it will be run by the Afghan national forces so that afghanis will do -- -- -- general Allen said.
They're literally building the plane while they're flying it in other words they're trying to training create the Afghan national forces.
But they're doing a great job -- a good story yes okay I could -- up this weekend but the weekend before and -- your viewers might remember that there is an eighteen hour siege by the Taliban the Taliban has spent almost a year.
Putting together an assault on Kabul that's capital of Afghanistan.
Well here's a good story.
The Americans is said.
We're here to help you Afghanistan will help you win then defeat the Taliban they Afghan national forces -- were good we think we can handle this.
The Taliban intended to keep control of Kabul in this fight.
It eighteen hours Afghan national forces defeated the Taliban and -- they're only for civilian casualties.
It wasn't reported as a success in the media this was a wild success and you should have seen the servicemen and women in Afghanistan.
They are seeing that what they're doing matters and so we will be handing off of the time and our men and women are doing everything they can be sure it happens you actively.
You know I tell my CN men and women come back to nice Shia hard they're working hard to believe I'm -- never seen anything like -- sacrifice if it is tough.
Oh I mean it what they aren't doing what they're seeing how -- they're experiencing when I was in the hospital.
We had the occasion there are five of us it was a delegation talent that can lead by -- -- We went into the icu the intensive care unit when we were in there there -- a soldier that just a couple of hours before -- losses legs.
We stood over his bed he'd lost his legs and arms are the doctors are trying to save his arm.
And he didn't even know what it happened to me is in a medically induced coma we stood over his dad we wrote in his journal we prayed for him.
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- That we've made so many medical advances before.
This young man's life probably would have been lost on the battlefield we analysis -- -- -- -- default during -- 1000% right and that's a bipartisan issue.
War should not be political.
Warship war needs to be if we if we have to deal with that is evil is it is it -- -- -- bipartisan.
We should never make one decision about freedom.
Based upon political considerations -- the next election it has to be about doing the right thing.
They're giving their lives to do the right thing.
We as lawmakers have to do with the right thing which is vitamin.
He was so important to see it -- but it's good nose and president -- can -- say thank you granite.
