Hi everyone I'm meteorologist Mario Molina from the fox extreme weather center with your forecast for the northwest.

And also the midwest and I hope you guys across northwest have been enjoying your very warm temperatures because we're gonna start to see some changes here.

Over the next 24 to 48 hours because -- finally gonna see some cooler air moving on and and also some widespread precipitation before today you're still enjoying some of those warm temperatures like in Salt Lake City seeing -- high once again above average are well above average.

At eighty degrees 76 over and -- and and seven.

Not too bad in the sixties for Seattle Portland and even down into parts.

Medford and as we head into the midwest usually have the extreme warm up ninety will be your high today Kansas City 93 in Dodge City and 87 over -- doing well above average here we're talking on temperatures twenty to 25 degrees above what's typical.

This time of the year so really feeling the heat out here and -- cities could be seen some record temperatures.

Being set as far as your high temperatures during afternoon hours Great -- a little bit cooler Green -- -- high at 53 in Chicago today is a warmer day.

With your high reaching 65 degrees as we head into the afternoon hours.

Here's -- some of the moisture we have one clipper system -- did down from Canada across portions of the midwest bringing in some showers across Minnesota early today.

Wisconsin and even producing a slight risk for severe storms as we head into this afternoon and evening.

Across parts of Illinois down into portions of Indiana meaning Kentucky's so watch out for -- risk.

For severe weather's very isolated though but you could see some large hail damaging wind -- And even an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out from some of those thunderstorms.

Otherwise a big story's going to be a brand new storm system that will be moving into the northwest already bringing in areas of rain across Seattle.

And that moisture will continue to spin inward as we head into your Thursday morning you can see widespread rain from parts of Washington down into -- -- even Idaho and that white stuff is more snow so we're gonna be seeing some more significant snow across parts.

Of the cascades and even as far south as -- Sierra because it's going to be colder air Scioscia with this storm system.

And it's -- -- heading -- and -- Friday morning the moisture should be impacting parts.

Eastern Montana Dakota singing and getting through eastern portions of Nebraska so your morning commute out here will be impacted.
