But what does -- tell you about the president's chances for reelection.

Well look this number is as good as it's gotten for Mitt Romney.

If you look back over the last month the president to Romney had pretty much consistently been in the mid forties if the election were held today it will be very much of a toss up.

A what that tells me is events in the next few months with the economy the Supreme Court decisions and other factors.

Are gonna determine who wins in November right track wrong track is the government going in the right direction at the wrong direction would -- Well it's we -- what the country going in the right direction -- the wrong direction most people aren't as concerned about what happens to the government what happens in the real world and right now 49%.

That he talked almost exclusively about the economy and that's the number one issue according to voters right.

That's right we tracked his every day 48% right now say the economy is a top issue not even if it -- -- not even close there's such a context the last time a president ran for reelection in 2004.

More than 40% were saying national security was a top issue only 20% said the economy.

We live in a different world but it's partly because of all the economic news around us you know only 49% of homeowners now think their -- was worth -- they paid for.
