For doing what the federal government should be doing and that's enforcing federal immigration laws.

And you're trying to garner all of this that tension.

To this political battle that the president is trying to wage saying that SB 1070.

Does a lot of things which it doesn't actually do what's right racial profiling it doesn't do any of that Rangel -- -- an enforcement mechanism.

-- so states can actually enforce federal law.

From my perspective.

The federal government and in the administration should be welcoming any sort of cooperation from state and local authorities.

To thwart illegal immigration in the drug cartel that is who really taking over parts of our southern border.

You know if I didn't switch gears a little bit congress on Friday the house is gonna take up this extending these low student.

Interest rates on college loans in the like -- -- -- -- -- What is this is actually the first I'm hearing about that we know let's hope this -- as well let me just say on Friday they're gonna vote on this -- gonna vote.

Well I I don't know yet I mean my biggest fear is that you have a situation right now with artificially low rates that is actually exacerbating the problem with high tuition costs.

We have one trillion dollars worth of student debt out there.

It is a bubble that is greater -- is very similar to what happened in housing.

Where you had cheap money and easy loans going out to people who really didn't need it.

And so then the schools in the situation see that.

Well and that's a problem I don't know how they're gonna pay for it if they are gonna pay for these -- the things that they need to know what one of the things that one of the ones in the -- -- Romney's stance of the fact that -- -- there's no way to know out of date.

Resist ours and again like I wasn't clear what what was a problem for you Mitt Romney's stance on this city's board or the fact that no one knows that's going to be paid.

Well it doesn't really matter I think with the presidential candidate stands where I got a -- what I'm doing is right for my constituents my state and country.

And when you have one trillion dollars student loan debt that is about to pop.

And if we're -- just -- leagues asked for exacerbating the situation.

By continuing this program and it and the other got a look back at how this program came about as Democrats gradually reduce the interest rates.

And then put it -- basically a political issue hot button political issue there and automatically double right before an election cycles so.

This is a very political move that they didn't back two years.

So is it a little political move on the part of Mitt Romney to say go ahead and try to stop that from happening.

Well I think that we need to be focusing not on what is good politics was what is good policy and what is gonna make you disagree with his position.

I I disagree with the fact that we should just automatically keep these rates low we got to look for paid courses they're gonna do it and also I guess when I have the understanding of exactly what sort of effect this is going to have is it's gonna just make it a more of a problem for higher tuition rates.

And are we actually going to limit where these loans and the low rates are gonna go because a lot of times you're having students.

Who don't necessarily need to have these loans especially at those rates and that's where this bubble is really being created.

And for those that really do need the rates -- bit lower and wouldn't be able to go to school otherwise.

That's a different thing but there's a large swath of those that are taking advantage of these.

That don't actually need that the loans at those rates.

And that's the reason why we have this one trillion dollars with a student debt that is been piled on the backs for students.
