Bush here's what met Ronnie says that -- -- administration would be -- We will stop the days of apologizing for success at home and never again I apologize for him.
That reaction is yeah now my panel -- who is national Press Secretary to president Obama's reelection campaign going -- good to have you here.
Good morning Martha thanks for having -- aren't active from Mitt Romney at a moment and got -- quote from -- the campaign trail and that will clearly be one of the issues that comes up between these two men a question of whether or not President Obama has apologized.
For the United States when he has traveled abroad and whether or not met Ronnie believes that -- the White House and and America must take the lead and be in front.
On a number of these issues what say you.
Well a lot on the apologizing front every independent fact checker has rated that is absolutely false and this is what -- heard from governor Romney and foreign policy a lot of chest thumping a lot of tough talk.
But not a lot of specific plants that fact as a commander in chief only gets one chance to get it right.
But he's been all over the map on the key foreign policy challenges.
Of our time it's been out for and against setting a timetable to withdraw our troops from Afghanistan for and against enforcing.
Our trade laws against China.
When it came to Osama bin Laden a few years ago he said he wouldn't move heaven and earth to do it and then when the president authorized the mission to get bin Laden.
He said that any president would do -- We expect to -- you know -- in some of -- excerpts that have come out this speech from Vice President Biden.
That he will say that that governor Romney's national security policy would return us to the past that we have worked so hard to move behind.
How how -- -- where does that come on how to how to you that.
Well I think on several fronts first of all governor Romney certainly has a Cold War that mentality -- you heard in in that discussion.
Over Russia but the fact is that he's made clear that he would have left our troops indefinitely in Iraq ten to 30000 troops.
It while he's been all over the map on withdrawing our troops from Afghanistan is certainly suggested that he would leave.
Our troops there indefinitely when he hasn't outlined a mission for them he's enlisted many of the same advisors that were the architects.
Of the Iraq War.
And he suggested that we should go it alone.
In the world that that the United States should act unilaterally -- rather than.
Rally the world around important international missions that are critical.
To American security and to global security.
Yeah I think who would it would -- you know looking at some of Mitt Romney's close and I is that the world is better off when America takes the lead.
And the president has made it clear that he likes to do things you know sort of in it and have more collective effort.
Yeah I mean that that accident that's a substantial debate between these two -- whether or not you want to see America out front as the -- superpower and that that's a position that.
The world expects us to take.
Because we have done -- so successful in so many roles in in history and that is the president not comfortable -- that position.
Wolf will the president believes that America is stronger when our alliances with our allies our secure allies that were alienated during.
The bush administration and governor Romney has suggested he would go a similar.
Unilateral -- And as -- a quick -- before we gonna we're gonna hear from that the Romney campaign and get their thoughts on -- this a new job but from a performance poll shows Joseph Biden have 42% approval.
Hillary Clinton's at 67%.
Approval -- there's always a lads you know discussion.
Over whether or not Hillary Clinton would be potentially moved out of her role -- into the VP well on that ticket to those numbers make that any more likely.
You know I I think we need her serving as as secretary of state.
The fact is whether it's President Obama or Vice President Biden.
The -- the choice in November will be between -- administration that brought us back from the brink of another depression we're losing 750000.
Jobs a month.
We've now created more than four million private sector jobs the vice president will sum up.
The administration and in one brief sentence.
Today which is that GM is alive and Osama bin -- on -- Dad and I will see Mexican visitors stay a little bit longer if that's a planned -- involved thank you so much good to see is always.
Thanks for them now for the --
