All -- yeah yeah.

Yeah.

I don't.

A friend yeah I didn't have it on you -- okay.

That was President Obama being covered in -- -- -- pay as he campaigned in Boulder, Colorado seeking those all important college votes from the University of Colorado a key swing state this fall so as we can see politicians will go to great lengths and great pains in order to get the votes of college students like the ones who are in our -- studio audience here live at Georgetown universe today.

I have yet to be covered and -- during my trip to Georgetown but we have our best chance I would say right now as we see as we get to meet Maggie Cleary.

She is the president of the college Republicans here at Georgetown University.

And I am told reliably there are more than her there are other members.

And Joseph -- Gretzky is the president of the college Democrats.

Maggie and Joseph welcome.

Thank you so much and thanks for having us here on game and we just -- would -- -- Twitter handle on the program then you don't tell me I still play its wealth and Anne and -- 819.

And you know what just do it his -- Because later when they're at a party someplace they'll tweet something they shouldn't and Daniel -- -- you'll have.

Okay guys so let's talk about this.

We know the Democrats win.

Voters eighteen to twenty -- unfortunately this has been this -- been through this this this is as true as saying.

That married people over forty vote Republican it's -- that's who wins among young voters.

But but -- about President Obama.

Wants to do really well with young voters he doesn't just want to win.

He wants to drive youth turnout to a higher number and he wants to replicate the kind of showing that he had 2008.

When instead of just winning by ten or twelve points he doubled up on John McCain.

So let's talk about the keys to winning the youth vote and ladies first Maggie let's start with you.

Verisign and we -- -- if you if you ran I think 66%.

And for President Obama and you know what I don't think that's gonna happen in 2012 I think a lot of and he did.

People my age you turn out in 2008 to vote.

Are people who are not gonna vote for Obama the future because it's superficial message of hope and change has -- worn out and -- they're facing 50% unemployed once they graduate they're gonna be voting for someone who's gonna create jobs and healthy economy and get them a job once they graduate and issues that they care out.

When he's on me I don't think Democrats don't want jobs for the American people start off I'm I would say they look at issues that become important recently I think Democrat actually win that battle with the use you look at the student loan rate was Stafford loans Obama Girl running recently dispersed as a -- moment and switched over to -- supporting keeping -- -- loan rate loan rates low.

If I get that you felt robot into enough for awhile and then more members the Republican party of an anti that's.

-- that you're gonna voter registration laws we just kind talked about your previous segment that's really focused tech college students college ideas don't count as valuable ways to vote.

And that makes my job while harder some bush trying to register voters -- race cautions fly -- harder.

And -- realize that's Republican House legislatures are doing that we're trying to keep them from voting -- you're not gonna vote for someone who's trying to stop.

Good old days of Columbia probably will go for Barack Obama so you can take some pressure off yeah -- -- -- everywhere I've learned here you can you can take some of the heat off yourself.

Maggie Mitt Romney is not that cool.

And -- -- -- -- if he seems like and a very nice guy he seems like a very -- guidance seems like a serious person -- but he he ain't cool.

So pat what do Republicans should Republicans tried to appeal to the the cool message.

Of young voters or should they just say it's -- to be square what do you -- -- Romney certainly isn't well but I think some of his policies are cool and are looking cooler to -- it.

I think even he can deal I think personally to cater to people of my generation is maybe do things like on Saturday Night Live for choosing a vice presidential candidate -- Young and we get people excited I think things like these would definitely -- his cool status rhymes with -- -- movie.

You know 44 U Barack Obama himself is not that cool either he does also Wear mom jeans and -- right I mean -- coming up.

These things are true but his but the cool thing that he's got the cool things that he has going form our.

Post racial.

That young people really appreciate because they're tired of old racial divisions they like the fact that he speaks their language he listens to their music he can relate to them is there a danger though that as the president appeals to these younger voters as he goes for the -- -- in boulder and reaches out to these people that he turns off the suburbanites the middle class middle -- folks.

Who don't care about -- they just care about.

The numbers.

Filing a presence at a loss -- to relate -- to cool I'll if you -- -- -- Jimmy found something that Romney would probably never do will be able to do.

Someone because Obama can sing and out of -- able to do -- I would say that I never I don't think that's ever really be a problem if you're -- related board to court you with.

You don't think that there's a -- you don't think that there's a problem immediately was -- and it is hand boning up on Jimmy Fallon you don't think you think that doesn't affect anybody's opinion older people probably asleep at that point -- Friday.

Obviously probably right and that's probably don't use the Internet -- you're -- preferring to do it as much as the younger vote all right.

American girl whether it's a little more policy -- gets -- those older people are gonna look at Medicare and that the reason but hasn't put out by Paul Ryan.

Naturally going to be your political that you -- I'm glad you mentioned all right Maggie Paul Ryan was on campus today fantastic job he did she says there.

There was a small cluster of protesters outside.

With a banner and they don't like him certainly what did what the president is arguing on college loans and everything else is that Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney.

Want to basically -- the young people take everything away from them don't want them to go to college.

It's an argument that they're sticking -- Where the Republicans right to come out with a budget where they right to do this even though it lays them open to unfriendly interpretations by the Democrats.

-- it's absolutely I think anyone sitting in the audience today for representative Brian would say that by no stretch of the imagination was he -- -- Harm you know where the population it out word -- use thought at all.

I think that he's looking -- present more importantly he's looking effort future and the debt that we're going to be faced with in 2030 years.

All right last question and you get too close to nab show.

What share of the youth -- you predict -- Obama's gonna get this fall and since -- I think this is sixty years he met the right now your point 77.

To 28% -- when -- between and so I would say.

Brian 50s60s right in the fifty to sixty -- is a big number one has left you with a voter registration becomes obvious to people how hard it is for them to vote I think that's the way they can we have him back on -- Fox News Channel.

Thank dad and I would -- that could play through and would have.

Better watch keep their eye in the rearview mirror is these -- regain enough okay.

-- -- -- you learn popular.

I we gotta -- we gotta go from this -- the bottom right on the other side of the upcoming break professor -- Brad Blake and will be here to give us our grades for our performance today tell us how we've been doing and we're gonna get to these questions in the audience and I'm sure are just burning up the fans out there so.

I will do all that when we come back so stick around.
