President Obama -- willing to politicize student loans contraception the trade on -- shooting virtually anything else he finds politically expedient so it's not surprising.

But the Obama campaign has released a new video praising our brave present for ordering that strike that killed Osama bin Laden.

But the same time that -- which is narrated by former President Bill Clinton suggested Mitt Romney would not have made the same decision watch this.

Look he knew what would happen.

Suppose -- Navy -- on in there -- hadn't been in line.

Suppose they've been captured or killed.

The -- so I would have been horrible.

But he reasoned.

I cannot in good conscience do nothing at all.

Took the harder.

Then the more honorable -- And the one.

Produce in my opinion.

The best results.

It's not worth moving heaven and -- -- spending billions of dollars just trying to catch one person he was referring to the hunt.

For Osama bin Laden.

He had to decide.

And that's what -- our president to do.

You heard the president.

Can make calls when no one else.

You okay.

The Obama campaign asked President Clinton to star in this sad and that's ironic considering that according to the 9/11 commission Clinton took a pass on at least -- -- opportunities to kill or capture bin Laden when he was president.

You also remember that back in 2008 Obama criticized Hillary Clinton for politicizing -- security matters including the hunt for Osama bin Laden.

Joining me with reaction to syndicated columnist Fox News good shooter Charles Krauthammer Charles thanks for coming on.

It's a pleasure garden so you you heard our last segment with Frank Luntz who suggested that the next six months is just going to be an avalanche of negative ads if you watched a lot of campaigns that he has gotten more negative do you think.

-- I mean I think he's become completely negative and I think I mean I said somewhere else wants them.

You know -- these campaigns -- I would do so dirty.

Did my advice is hide the children hire a plumber because you'd have to -- several times -- day.

This is total -- and negativity people oh lead off financially wise it did.

Congress Washington and hit him.

In general is held in such low esteem.

By population there about 9% approval you know Qaddafi country.

And you know I say it's not because they're lie and see them hypocrites that's not enough of an explanation.

I think the other part of it is that American politics is the only enterprise the only industry.

In this country who have -- and millions of dollars on negative ads against each other imagine if you had negative ads in airlines.

You know instead -- you fly the friendly skies of united.

They show the scene of a plane crash and they say.

You want to die fly delta.

I can assure you that is not a problem until those kinds of ads.

Two weeks of that not a year and a half of that.

If you had to go to Disney World from LA you pack the car mr.

nobody would have gotten here and -- self and voices and relentless.

To you know every.

Two years Americans watch hundreds of ads they're describing the other guys which means everybody.

As the worst you know the lowest human beings and their shock and surprise that people hold.

Politicians -- low esteem.

That is a fantastic point -- they're hurting that brand legacy what you're saying the brand -- politics so hesitant to give you an example of the reason that people hold these.

These folks are pretty low regard there was -- famous and you -- of course from 2008 in which Hillary Clinton said of her primary opponent Barack Obama in effect he's not ready.

There right major foreign policy decisions the president has to make and he's not up to them.

She included in a montage of photographs for -- -- image this was the Obama campaign's response to that Adam according.

It's ironic she Hillary Clinton would borrow the president's tactics in our own campaign and invoke bin Laden to score political points.

We already have a president who plays the politics of fear.

I guess it politics of fear you know it's in the item all the biggest fear that current president the man -- issued the statement is doing exactly the same thing is -- He has although I must -- -- made a distinction here between the two parts of that ad you showed about Osama bin Laden.

Look you can run a positive ads saying here's the president and he had a tough decision to make.

He made -- -- -- to allow any succeeded.

Perfectly legitimate and that's not really to politicize.

This is a real historical event he took a risk fine.

What really it's hours that dad and I think we'll probably have a negative effect on the -- and negative towards Obama.

He is a sliding of Romney at the same time there was no reason to make it negative -- First of all does anybody really believe.

That there's anybody who'd been in the Oval Office who would have had all that information.

Knowing that we can get the guy -- we have the information it's likely to be a true.

And that we could actually.

Get him and not make that decision I'm not sure people assume the president would not second one made when they tried to draw the conclusion.

That Romney would not have approved what they do you don't have a direct quote from Romney and that's what you get used to -- -- -- sort of expect to hear it.

From his -- do you hear sort of something obliquely referring to -- -- a newsman and to imply that Romney who actually had a case.

When he said look you can kill the guy it's important to do that's fine.

But that's not the end of the war on terror and when you kill -- negatively another guy behind him and I think everybody understands that is true.

It's not the end of the war on terror it was -- it was a kind of exhilarating.

Sends.

If you like a revenge or at least release.

Was killed but the war continues if not in Afghanistan.

To work continues in Yemen and Somalia so what Romney was saying was a legitimate point.

And I think by turning it negative against him from making an assumption that's entirely unwarranted he would not have done it I think it did the -- works against its.

-- to some extent so we what do you make exactly.

The recruitment of Bill Clinton to do the voice over for the sad considering you know his record Osama bin Laden is something.

And all the Clinton people were embarrassed I think it's a nimble -- certainly hard to defend why can't.

Well of course you know I'm sure it's -- somebody focus groups he's a popular guy people like its presence generally speaking.

But and they're not that many people who know that in 1996.

When the Sudan expelled Osama bin Laden.

They offered him but to the United States at least that is what's flatly stated.

In the book the looming tower -- Lawrence -- Winner of the Pulitzer Prize which is a history -- al-Qaeda and he says a defense minister of Sudan.

-- the Clinton administration Osama bin Laden.

And President Clinton himself in 2002 he said.

That we do not take him because we didn't have enough evidence to hold in the -- I didn't have enough evidence to indict him.

Which is a way you look at do you know how how would Clinton administration totally.

You -- -- -- misunderstood the war on terror as if it was a matter of law enforcement instead of a war now there is some dispute over whether it was a real offer or not.

But at least Lawrence Wright has no question is in my and it was so it is ironic that Emanuel let him go we -- -- in our prison and held them forever.

Is the man who's doing the voice over.

Quite an ad about the killing of Osama bin lives dictates that we -- a -- new word actually takes an awful lot of press Charles Krauthammer.

Thanks very much for coming on appreciate you look and.
