And he can't be done -- -- -- A congressional investigation is heating up as -- EPA official is caught on tape saying he wants to crucify.
Oil companies listen.
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- So.
These days.
So is this type of attitude towards energy companies -- gas prices are high and will continue to remain high.
Well hello ever wanna show the sunny and welcome the cash advance our accident crew this week we have Wayne Rogers Jonathan Hoenig Tracy Byrnes and John late build.
And also joining us is that we had democratic consultant Julian Epstein -- welcome all of you and Jonathan I'm curious what you think here is this.
EPA attack on energy companies and big clue as to why gas prices are high now on the -- -- -- up.
Well that's the EPA's goal -- that's the Green movement's goal is to raise gas prices to make it harder and harder -- man to actually use the earth to his benefit I mean they're -- really.
-- -- hurt mankind so of course they put all the -- of bans on drilling and exploration they put these ridiculous mandates on elegy make it harder for companies like Exxon actually.
Get permits and it's essentially a cruise vacation as the as the the EPA official put it.
Not towards a liar no militant Islam or our enemies but -- actual productive American companies it's a shame and it's why gas prices are going -- And -- -- fill we did get earnings from Exxon and they did talk about less drilling.
Permits things like that -- -- the -- that's why gas prices are high because we have less oil production here in this country and maybe this is the reason this attitude from the -- I think this is part of a look at the main reason gas prices are highest China went from four million barrels a day -- -- barrels a day and in the past decade were stuck at 86 million barrels.
Total capacity -- in the entire globe right now as -- the United States yes this hurt significantly.
From 22 until now -- -- -- is down the government has said it's about the government's that is down but the energy administration.
Information by the US government says it is down.
And -- -- reasons -- on this -- 200000 jobs.
Waiting on fracking regulation in Ohio the EPA need to be told by the president listen I don't hear you hate these guys make a ruling make a ruling that's fair and stick what is -- we can go and create jobs in this country.
Well you know -- -- congress is gonna get involved here you've got.
Congressman Darrell ice that he wants to investigate this type of attitude this obviously -- the statement coming from the CPA official.
-- and -- wants to go after find out what's going on here what it did pick -- fine.
Well I think they're gonna pharmacist look at the -- of facts here first saw this was a low level EPA official secondly he was talking about going after polluters people who break the law.
Third the point here I think is that.
Gas production -- production is that a seven year high right now the Obama administration.
-- license over 400 new permits for -- We have more rigs operating United States than anywhere else in the world right now.
The Obama administration -- opened up millions of acres for exploration.
They've approved dozens of pipelines including part of the Keystone Pipeline.
We have more production gas and then then we've had in the last seven years gas prices have gone down for three weeks in a row right now.
And the fact that gas prices are going up -- as we've discussed on this show before has nothing to do with the laws of supply and demand we see is demand goes down supply goes up.
Of gas and oil prices are still going up because of the manipulation of markets this isn't an -- -- -- Tracy you shaking your head why.
Lows so many things -- first look at roaming cats -- -- hear the word cruise vacation again I'm gonna blow my head off OK you don't look I thought that's not well.
Great kid gloves here these oil companies are doing what they're supposed to do.
Now look I don't know about what Jonathan is saying that EPA wants and destroy mankind and -- that kind of stuff but I do know.
It all the attention -- this guy is why companies are not the reason for high gas prices you know reason.
And John -- says it every week on the show we have no energy plan to.
Didn't we have no energy policy we are complete out there and as a result we are reliant on -- like I ran to Jack up our gas prices whenever they feel I don't wait -- he should -- -- somewhere on your body that.
I don't I apologize on the show everybody does this quote from him to -- -- -- -- -- he apologized -- -- -- I apologize to -- -- offended.
That -- -- -- of words it was an offense -- -- -- -- betray our efforts to address potential violations.
Art nations environmental -- so he he's trying to make a -- that is not enough.
Now I mean why does he sit in the first place of course it's not enough I mean when you hire people like that -- supposed to be working for.
The people this guy's not working for the people is marked for himself but he's -- -- is a little bureau he is a little bureaucratic -- that's what he has looked -- If you talk about you mentioned keystone why has not the president approved the total keystone.
It is everybody is behind -- the unions want it it's got to create jobs he talks about job creation and doing all of that and yet he will not approve this.
Why because that's a political act it has nothing to do with me the economy he doesn't care he's not doing this for this he's got to approve this.
After he gets elected yet when he thinks he's -- that's all the best of the -- so what's the -- -- against it's against what the people to do it's against what he's supposed to be doing at the pres the United States shot -- well he's I I agree and it's a mystery to me Il Y a private investment by a private company would need.
The kings permission we need the president's permission but he.
Harry Reid's permission and the whole idea of a free economy Cheryl is free from government you'll have to ask permission.
Every time wanna make an investment and to -- your point -- I mean this isn't government going after criminals this is government going after law abiding producers people actually want to.
Will create the energy and fuel the economy forward were standing in their way not through the economy but through regulatory force.
Julian what would it I think is the EPA has been going after whatever comes our companies -- the issue fracking -- and that but they haven't always found.
Violations from companies but there has been a lot of companies that have been.
I guess investigated as the best word here do you think that they're going down the wrong path here when -- -- bishop -- administration's support production whether it's natural.
Gas or oil.
I think we draw false dichotomy here I don't think that enforcing the environmental laws whether you're talking about the pipeline and there were legitimate environmental issues in keystone.
And with -- there are legitimate environmental -- making sure they comply with environmental laws.
Doesn't mean that the production doesn't go forward as I point out.
We have we I mean in nobody responds on this panel to the fact that production -- at a seven year high demand is low supply is higher than it ever has been and -- prices are still going up.
It is an -- and you know what to do that to the other point she gee are we we're we have 2% of the energy reserves we consume 20%.
Of the world's energy.
Capacity.
So what -- simply drilling in the event for you know way up just think gonna work right scandals let's go to LG and candles and not make the point -- you mentioned -- imagine if the government had put regulations.
It in front of tracking people are saving 20% a year and heating their home here here because of the low price of natural gas regulation that prohibited that activity gas prices -- -- -- you know -- Ignoring the point we're producing more we're putting more permits were -- exporter more exploration.
That we ever -- yeah.
I'm no good guys they -- anywhere in the world you know that.
-- -- -- -- -- -- get the permits they need I got representative -- man Joba didn't teller's home somewhere else okay guys and there's a -- all the bad at all.
-- this site of this administration is responsible for this increase and -- domestic production is absolutely insane.
The Bush Administration is not responsible party leader it is -- technology innovation and also look at the government numbers it's down since twenty TN.
This whole thing with the Keystone Pipeline this is not about the environment you have 45000 -- -- all pipeline right now this is 200.
Miles you're talking about this is all politics probably the president is going to approve this he had just gonna wait -- after the election to do it this is all bulls down the politics.
I -- the question here -- I went Rogers is will be EPA.
Being in the right role for this as we do tried to increase domestic production is the EPA gonna play fair.
Well I -- -- and Jillian makes the point -- this guy's a low level you know EPA bureaucrat it doesn't matter what level it is it's the attitude that comes from the top as they say in the mafia the fish stinks from the head.
And this comes just -- a hole.
-- -- -- -- -- -- rule -- -- and things of people who are out of crucified people as he -- is he said -- people I'm sorry about that yet but he said.
And he's up to get people that's your souls -- whole attitude of hostility toward somebody who's trying to do something productive to Wayne.
How I know what the mafia has to say I don't sound.
-- guys thank you very -- -- -- -- current --
