No signs attorney general Eric Holder might be held in contempt of congress over operation fast and furious there -- top congressional investigators.

Taking -- first official step by drafting the contempt citation.

Louisiana congressman Steve's release is a member of the house energy and commerce committee my guests from his home state -- -- Louisiana sir good morning to you.

-- to be with you bill does the house leadership guys like John Boehner and Eric -- support this contempt citation.

While I think what would speaker Boehner and our whole leadership has has talked about all -- -- is that we want to hold the administration accountable we want.

To get that transparency out there and you know -- Obama campaigned.

On a pledge that he be the most transparent president never I think what we've seen in a lot of our investigations.

Is that this White House has been probably one of the most secretive trying to block all of the investigations and and really denying the American people the facts.

In not only fast and furious but Solyndra now -- the latest EPA scandal the -- got a pattern by the Obama administration.

Of trying to hide the facts from the public when they promised transparency.

Now I know you wanna move forward on this but again is John Boehner backing you can -- -- the moves for without the leadership's.

Thumbs up and you have that yet.

But what speaker Boehner said from the beginning is that that he wants transparency he wants to get the facts out there.

In any investigation in and we've been looking into a lot of a wrongdoing by this administration.

And what you've seen as you've got a White House and it tries to hide the facts from the American people.

-- so we're gonna continue to go -- get the facts.

And let the facts lead where they may and ultimately we're not drawing any conclusions were -- We wanna get the facts we want to hold this administration accountable for scandals like fast and furious -- -- -- -- where more than half a billion dollars of taxpayer money was wasted.

This latest EPA scandal where you've got these rogue good -- administrators that that President Obama pointed.

A that are out there killing American jobs the administration has to be held accountable to let me get this Leonard a moment here but you have not called reporters resignation others -- Why not.

Well right well I still wanna see more the facts and in you know they have not gotten a lot of the facts out there to us how we're gonna continue to fight to get those facts.

To get the information on fast and furious where people's lives were lost.

This is this is a scandal where.

Eric Holder has got a lot of serious questions to answer just like insulin to where Eric Holder has a role to play there as well and you know this is a bigger issue though it's not just Eric Holder.

This all goes from the top -- President Obama has set a clear tone of trying to hide facts but whenever there's there's a scandal out there the president goes and runs.

And goes and tries to blame somebody else for his problems.

And so it's not just Eric Holder that's at the heart of the problem here.

This really goes to to president Obama's broken promises on transparency and I don't think he's gonna be held accountable by the voters -- November.

We will see whether or not Memorial Day as the deadline for for Eric Holder what we're waiting for more on that we have about a month ago.

In the meantime on slender if you have hearings that start in May continue to June and July what -- the American people learn about this.

We know each time we get another another broad list of documents from the White House -- -- still doesn't cover a lot of the information that we subpoenaed.

We initially asked me the White House to comply with the investigation.

Over 535.

Million dollars of taxpayer money was lost.

Mean this administration from all that we've seen it ignored the very -- telltale signs about some of their own experts who said don't get the loan to this company.

And yet President Obama wanted to use this as.

Kind of touting his Green energy this was the poster child for president of nominees but Obama's Green agenda and yet.

Over half billion dollars of taxpayer money is lost -- serious questions that still haven't been answered.

And perhaps some of those hearings will answer those we await to for that to Begin Steve's release thank you the Republican -- Louisiana with us today thanks it.
