Fox News alert and what a moment -- -- about to hear -- here together you are looking at live pictures from ground zero New York City we are now just moments away.

From history in the making workers expected to put in place the beams the columns.

That will make the Freedom Tower the tallest building in New York City surpassing the Empire State Building.

Obviously this story is not about the height of -- building.

It is about the strength of -- city.

And joining me now.

On the phone is -- seller.

He's the brother of 9/11 hero Stephen -- a 34 year old at the -- -- firefighter.

Who ran -- room the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel.

That fateful day.

Because it was closed to traffic he would -- finished his shift but he heard about what was happening.

And he would not be denied from going back to the scene to help his comrades on the FDNY and help the citizens working.

In that building he ran through.

That tunnel and to the towers and was killed.

On that fateful day.

Frank thank you very much for being here with us as we sit and watch.

As they get ready to place this column atop this building officially making it the tallest building in New York City it will be just taller than the original one World Trade Center was.

What are your thoughts.

Well it's I'm glad to see -- -- coming to this point it's been.

A long time coming a lot of the nine elevenths families are very happy.

To see this building be rebuilt -- downtown being brief belt.

You know there was a tremendous sacrifice that was made that day.

It was 343 firefighters their brand into.

What I call the valley of death that -- shaping.

So many people it was the largest rescue effort ever made.

And which is so proud of what Steven did that day in what how America came together afterwards and so this is a great.

You know every year you've seen great progress they're now -- a special last few years and to see this go up there and beat them MB.

Rebuilt and have downtown rebuilt that this -- it's significant and that is that we have to do the same thing without -- Well that's the thing is that so many of us have have gone on those of us who didn't necessarily have I have relatives or friends as close as you did frank -- your brother.

But.

It's it's a little easier each year to put it out of your mind to -- to -- a little farther away from the tragedy and maybe that's a good thing for people to -- like that but.

It is important to rebuild.

Yourself personally.

This city.

It economically.

And end.

Just just mentally and emotionally for those who -- close to this tragedy to see this symbolic.

Erection of this column today.

Yet now I agree that it's important that it's very important to rebuild.

And the build on the foundation that sacrifice that was made that day and that we never forget the -- building now because it is such a symbol of freedom.

It will help us to make sure that that we don't forget the the price that was paid by you know 2976.

People that -- -- -- -- -- most certainly the first responders felt.

It is -- it it helps us to continue with -- lives but we have to always remind ourselves what happens we just don't let it happen.

Frankly you see this.

That were were reaching this point one day before the anniversary.

Osama bin Laden's execution.

And that is you know -- it also a day to be remembered and appreciated.

By Americans who now that he's the one who unleashed that help.

On America that day your thoughts on that piece of this.

Well it's ironic.

You know but there's a year -- -- a year later remember.

Lipid laden was taken out -- year and that was one of the best days and personally in my life because.

It is it is not just because I'd like will go -- -- SOB it's because.

It is significant that he's no longer on -- -- -- the evil that he was doing.

And you know if it.

We can't have people I -- around it just can't happen or not.

Our military the greatest military in the history of mankind the helps the world -- around the world not just America what they do for everybody.

After that the come together and take had been on now last year and then have this building being built -- -- It is significant in our signs.

That we -- moving.

In a better direction but once again that we don't forget because there were of the bin -- out there.

That's wanna do terrible things to us and I don't think we are taken on the most part.

You know you know we realize that this still trying to to -- -- but I'd love seeing things like this today.

The building be built like that means and and being the tallest building in an in America again and then being at the end of -- 17176.

Feet -- which is so what America was born in my -- -- 1776 so it is it all is very meaningful.

You know what this building will not be the only thing that rose again.

And that stands tall in New York City on Friday night I had the privilege of spending the evening with you and others.

At a benefit cosponsored by the tunnel to towers foundation as well as -- Gary Sinise attended Dan banned organization -- and there were so many first responders there Franken and there were also.

The family members not just yourself but.

Your sister in law.

That the widow of Stephen seller in his children.

And they've had to move on just as.

Does not many families of the 9/11 victims have had to move bond.

For them you know this this must be symbolic as well I mean they picked themselves up.

His beautiful children were there that night on Friday -- -- looked happy they they looked.

They looked hole and yet there will always be a piece of them that's missing.

You could fill the hole.

And ground zero -- you -- -- -- in the -- but we -- to live with that I think that's -- you have to put it.

And listened.

-- Stephen -- won his wife and children to be sad or their lives to him especially he was a character and I have to say at least.

As most first responders are.

As you are yeah well thank you but I tell you it was terrific tiger attacked and torched on that -- Gary Barron was great and that's what it is that the celebration of the sacrifice that was made the celebration.

Of their lives and then not just remembering -- have to remember we got to make sure that we never forget but you gotta be proactive.

And in you know the things that we're -- the money that were raised in a -- until it.

Smart homes for the severely wounded -- -- you have to do something you just can't say.

Things you have to go out and do something and we have to fire -- so involved.

With our foundation they do so much for -- and so much of our community.

You know the -- -- the -- from we have over 2500.

Volunteers that come together and this year we're gonna have 75 -- power runs around the country to make sure that we don't forget you know on -- -- nine elevenths so.

It's all beautiful stuff and -- forward.

And we got to make sure that we take care of -- man a woman in uniform out of the paint a big prices -- -- of course long before that but.

Most is please -- since 9/11 we've lost over 6000 servicemen and women.

46000.

Severely.

Injured and wounded in the you know we just gotta make sure we take care of them coming back and -- foundation and the carry his foundation come together and we are dedicating a -- split.

You you you look after first responders and others in the Gary -- foundation has been trying to do the same as well as looking after the military vets.

Who have gone off to fight this war in the wake of what happened to us frank I'd like to stand by -- -- as we just watch.

Then -- at this column now.

Top this building it will go on top of the 100 floor the building will be.

12171.

Feet high it.

The roof top of the building the same height as the original one World Trade Center.

It'll be over 104 floors with the antenna and that will officially make it.

The tallest building in New York let's watch.

The total height of the structure.

Now a symbolic 17176.

Feet high.

US declaration of independence was signed in 1776.

This is the official.

Officially -- highest building in New York City.

One of the world's tallest buildings.

Say it's a little like picking the heavyweight champion in boxing there's often disagree about who just who deserves the belt.

But there is no disagreement about how New Yorkers feel.

Seeing the city rebuild and move on after that people David had a lot of controversy over what to do with -- site that controversy.

Is yesterday's story.

Today's story is -- city rising together.

Rebuilding.

On hollowed ground.

-- as the nine elevenths family members watch this.

There's one thing in which they share and that is there unity as Americans and patriots.

-- here in New York City as New Yorkers one of them is frank seller he is still with us frank.

What do you think Stephen we think of us.

I'd be happy to see.

That.

It's this deal going in there and seen an albatross of anyone going -- It's a significant day he's proud of New York City for sure he's proud of America but New -- that stood -- -- the 9/11 of them with the help of American school.

Still stay in the cult group greatest fire department.

In the world paid a big price that they it was a three -- point three firefighters in which people was one of them.

At every every one of us every one of them firefighters every family member.

They want to see what -- finished.

And and and to be blowing became.

The freedom that that America represent that you know the statue of Liberty's one of them but this building -- Will be justice this significant as far as I'm not look members -- -- -- -- -- -- it's a good -- emotional scene and I didn't think that was it gets so emotional I see this -- -- -- they go back to where.

This steel workers in the iron workers -- there was so much after 9/11 and cleaning up and be -- bringing everyone together it was a great.

Chad timed blitzes -- it was about time for the northern.

Here it just brought everyone together -- you idiots.

Was.

Unseen there rank this as they feel.

-- privately held him watching this happen I want to tell our viewers it's not only as you mentioned the first responders and those who the victims on 9/11 the first responders who ran to the scene.

Ran into the danger lake Stevens seller.
