-- -- -- I.

-- And that's what we do.

Our next guest is helping to make movie to musical history as a leap of faith makes its Broadway debut.

Let's welcome back to the -- actress stepped it up.

I get to see you again Agassi and so what a busy schedule you keep last time you're you're talking Priscilla queen of the desert and your country -- I had -- -- now so we'll get to those -- let's talk about leap of faith yes.

Having a glass yeah we we we opened last Thursday.

At the saint James theater and them it's and -- neat thing.

Uplifting.

Gospels or by -- me Ken and I can't -- play opposite the incredible -- sparse as.

And for those who may not have seen the film wouldn't tell us about the story we think.

Well it's that it's it's a story about a traveling evangelist and his bag gang his angels of mercy.

-- that that breaks down in that and a small town in Kansas that's that drought ridden and and and depressed.

And any sets up sets up the tent there and about says that.

The relationships that ensue between the angels and the townsfolk and and that emotional journeys that take place between now all of these characters and the potential.

Love that is one let's talk about that where your character can then that's right you play like -- -- -- -- who is the county sheriff.

And -- single mom to a child in a wheelchair.

And -- and she really Harris has lost her her faith you know she really has lost her belief and love and and -- and and sort of copes by day by holding on real tight to the control that she does have an airline -- and caring for the townsfolk Karen for her son.

And and keeping herself.

And we discussed this just a second ago.

Brooke Shields was in me LA production she was inflate your own age and her work.

Yes I'm so honored to be able to step in to the peace where she she had to leave off.

They have in the meantime restructured the characters.

So.

The LA production had hadn't had -- That's a different name -- at that time as a waitress and they had a separate.

Person playing the sheriff and they and in this -- Broadway production have.

Have reconfigured that the characters -- that the sheriff and the left interest are one and.

Sure -- okay and you know that and now let us.

Who couldn't think see the movie in movie stars Steve Martin at -- -- -- there's something.

She says fills that is -- a little nerve racking to do you a movie to Broadway musical just in case people -- out there making comparisons.

-- highly yeah.

When I see at peace and we were just talking about this on the way over when I see some and when I see a movie of the book I've -- and I think.

Gosh that's a lot to live up to because I have a pretty wild imagination.

But I'm but I think -- we do.

Movie to musical.

There's a little more room for our interpretation and anarchy.

It's.

It's a real departure from the nominates it's based loosely on on this idea.

That.

You know that people sometimes needs.

An unexpected trigger this -- into.

And you stage have faith in their own -- but.

But but generally.

But but it you know specifically the character -- difference.

And -- make it we make a statement and it said.

It's a -- and a perfect piece really to bring to life.

Because of the PM.

The production elements hit a gospel numbers -- choreography.

And more than the choir that we've -- You know live in and out on stage -- beautiful.

And how long headlines when you hope people leave -- -- saying.

That a guard from the music in and whatever they can absorb from different messages that play yeah I mean I hope people.

And people already are saying that that that it is everything.

They want to Broadway musical TV because it's.

They laugh they cry it was better than cats out yeah you know it's it's moving people becoming -- sitting in these relationships.

And yet it's it's entertaining it's think we have an eighteen piece orchestra it's just it's a sort of stunning.

Visual effect.

We have a beautiful rain storm at the end of the show so people need humming.

Singing the songs there they're dancing in their seats there they're participating in an attack revival during the the show and I think that -- even haven't haven't had a good time -- now.

Let me ask you in addition to your show from what some of your favorites what do you go into the -- looking for like if somebody came into town and said to recommend if you show us -- -- -- -- mean for me.

I just want to be transport it now and sometimes.

For me that means that a serious play and sometimes it means you know a comedic.

Musical but I know I just want to sit down and and disappeared for couple of hours and and that is what what leap of faith promises so I'm so glad we are able to bring it to to New York.

Yes and that I have another just a bigger question and for those out there and in addition to addition hoping to follow in your footsteps and yet roles like -- First how TU learn how to do -- schedule the Broadway performer because it's like I shows deleted stations in week six days a week I get Monday off a week when a minute running -- -- -- and its eggs off staying and science.

You know it's what I've become.

What's what -- adapted to -- and you know I have two boys two to school age boys and it's what they've become adjusted to.

Mom it's in I think it's no different and then than someone who.

Now a mom -- a doctor and she's unconscious got three days -- she's really busy and she's home for couple of days and and I just I work nights and that and it's tiring but.

I think for people who are interested in and in auditioning it's really about building your way up -- yeah holding your way up to that I mean.

They kept it to find that momentum.

Not a tourist -- eyes and and while I have you here let's talk about ten and Carlyle who weren't in our studio once and Steve are readily about a year and a half it was a wiley does that tell me let's put on the -- project.

Well we're we are waiting to cutter our.

Album has been funded and we are waiting to cut it and Nash well I've been a little busy so my partner -- -- is waiting patiently for me to have a little more free time to us to sneak down.

And to music city -- -- that attempt but we're gonna be we have some dates coming up this summer here in New York City so I'll make sure to get those up on our website.

Oh good okay and what is that website first when his balance and -- allow that kind IRA and if people are interested -- -- this really the faith where is the best place to well you can go right down to saint James box office or you can call Ticketmaster.

-- -- Thank you so much just with -- so nice to see you again.

And in all of our performance of the week you're going to play a clip kind of a -- -- clip from the show look I have days check that out a bit of a preview of leap of faith.

And coming up -- four on foxnews.com live hitting that headlines with Gregg Jarrett snow.

Check out leap of faith and we'll see you next Monday here from our fox 41 on my.
