Some thoughts on this now from senior political analyst for him -- -- -- breath.

There is nothing wrong with President Obama and his campaign citing the bin Laden raid is one of the successes of his administration.

Mr.

Obama needs to be careful because there was almost certainly less political gold in those -- and he -- imagine.

For example the Gallup organization as people just after the raid last year who they show which bought should receive quote a great deal of credit for.

89% as you can -- said the military 62% said the CIA.

Only 35% said President Obama.

The Obama team now seems to be trying to magnify the political benefit of the raid with that campaign ad suggesting that Romney might not have ordered it.

The president even used a news content of the Japanese prime minister in the White House east room today.

For avail reiteration of that suggestion without citing Romney's name in particular it -- spoke of comments the Republican made back in 2008.

Romney criticized mr.

Obama then for publicly saying he would going to Pakistan to pursue bin Laden.

From Romney's point was not that we shouldn't do that if necessary but that it was a bad idea for diplomatic reasons to proclaim it publicly.

In the rough and tumble -- campaign such distortions may be commonplace.

But for the president himself to do it in the presence of a foreign leader in the White House brings one word to mind.

-- The -- suggesting that there could be.

A push back perhaps politically even among independents here on this issue well.

One of the most precious assets the president has political assets as is that the president is automatically presidential.

Over to the office.

It is an asset that must be treated with great care or -- risk of diminishing a president who is acting -- on the campaign trail.

Speaking at a fund raiser or oracle or -- rally.

The public gets -- that that's a partisan event and would not object to president being partisan.

But when he is acting in his official capacity as -- unmistakably was today standing next to a foreign leader in the east room of the White House.

To engage in partisan politics in that way I think runs the risk diminishing him in the eyes.

Of the public diminishing as president and that is a dangerous indeed.

Barbara thank you good.
