Yeah I think I think taking out of some but I don't with a report.

Even just symbolic value so I think -- just it's at this point and mean it really it was purely Somalia of people wanted retribution the video comes families wanted to see him being gone and you they wanted somebody to pay with her life and we're taking so many thousands -- yeah I think carefully right and and whether you can debate about the operational value that he had -- he was able to pull off another attack or whatnot.

I think the question was important and -- original -- -- -- didn't really still have one year now.

I mean it wouldn't talk about party had power over -- Qaeda -- have power with OK to do much with a but the question is is brought on that -- is the war on terror winnable.

And are there other people.

Inside and outside of our kids to want to hurt the west for Americans and answers -- yes there's -- -- of you know we'll always be exactly with the then first you wonder is the warrant or something that we can claim victory on which room it's not.

And the second question is and how -- we end the war.

How do we stop these terrorists who cannot that a building bigger and bigger fences and being fortress America forever how -- we.

At some point -- to resolve the situation Hanley and I think it's totally outside of the discussion -- we're talking about -- -- spiking the football into the right corner not seal team six is a threat.

Right that's not the issue the issue is how do we get rid of this how to make sure my kids and grandkids -- still fighting this war on terror right.

And I think it's really upsetting and kind of disappointed both parties are talking about the discussions are we doing drone strikes are we take out the right people but.

The take those people -- five other guys that are does that mean that.

-- idea that is a great point because what we're always talking about it gave you our president in the White House right now.

You were going to talk about nothing other than the fact that we have not been struck American soil has not been hit by terror attacks -- nine elevenths.

But okay so we constantly be gonna going to be on edge and how long is it that we -- going to have to live like this is growing up I was never worried about a terror attack exactly you know our kids -- have to live like this for the rather.

-- -- that's a perfect point and also at some point some very lucky nobody can guarantee perfect competitive -- someone to get lucky somewhere right so I don't think.

The right argument has always got lucky so far let's just keep doing what we're doing just -- more of -- you know some point also I'd like to bring shampoo on an airplane but.

But -- -- discussing -- real question here is how do we stop this -- terrorism happening to Begin with them.

I humbly say it's two things one is education and when his economy first location -- have most of these countries where these terrorists are coming from infect all of them except for the one that group here have.

Knots and knots of young people 708090%.

-- like 35 and under -- -- -- and put an ounce of unemployment none of -- have jobs -- no education for everyone that sent.

And the closest guy with a lot of microphone as saying it's all America's fault and so what are they gonna do they're gonna gear up and go against America -- the local rich guys as you know what if you kill yourself and attacking a military base I'll give your money.

I'll give money to your family.

And you'll get seven versions or whatever they have nothing going on your bankrupt you have -- future you're upset and you have political repression going on what else.

The first of -- we should be pumping money in an effort into boosting education especially for woman -- best for young children and the second thing is.

Boosting education here in this country not in these other cabs and effects are going to be very Korea yet let's be clear where we don't play educate Satan put who's looked educated people so -- you know there's player programs we can find and plenty of partnership for keeping the United States -- -- spend money to educate.

Possible want to be terrorists before they become -- Yes but not that simplified with get likely terrorism would look for out of all the children yeah they grow up and become like their parents yet not and I like that but it is about change in the narrative and then you you understand that there's a massive amount of personal there's rumor -- that's insane just insane -- -- and -- part of the world they -- -- completely -- -- Recent history anymore western presence of what you're saying that I wouldn't say it's western especially just the way these these terrorist leaders work is that they.

Create a world view that's very very worked -- it's their perspective obviously and you have these young adherents that are buying into this and -- -- -- And you better believe when you go to places they're better off and have higher education you're far less terrorism coming out of -- students terrorists coming out of Dubai and have a -- -- is income from.

Impoverished Gaza is within Saudi Arabia or Afghanistan and other places and there's a reason for that.

I think you have to educate them and -- -- -- understanding and secondly you have to get them jobs and other than we have to hire them.

But it means that they have to have some opportunities and have something to -- -- more have a middle class might have people with with homes and families and they think Mike can we better off than me.

Then they're -- -- bomb you know bomb something to themselves but the people legally -- -- -- for exactly and it doesn't mean that it's susceptible -- and it's understandable that they know that that's not -- it's an acceptable complete access to.

And if they declare warn America you have to stop.

But we can't figure just build bigger and bigger offensive forever and let's be honest we've already spent.

By some estimates more money that on the war on terror in Iraq and Afghanistan and we spent on -- -- too.

You take the amount of money we're spending one day and neither have Nolan and we're talking about educating them -- -- -- -- -- -- even more money.

Why wouldn't -- Mormon I would think diverting some of -- -- -- being smarter about how we use him somehow less money on the military more money on teachers not the military and not teachers as we have from the mess we've -- with.

That's the question but in general I think we can be smarter about how we need to get a great example.

I think the Arab Spring that we saw Egypt with William and -- that we saw.

-- -- -- we so Libya all toppling of going through transitions but we're just watching on the sidelines.

And we're saying -- maybe the Baghdad -- and oh there's an al-Qaeda flag that showed up in some city that they're really behind the scenes.

It's not that simple there's a lot of really genuine democratic -- minded people in those countries trying to create a moderate state.

That respects our religion that doesn't kill people for converting out of Islam but a lot of the Jews to -- the senate -- incursions into the church's own there's a Muslim culture which is very similar to American somewhat.

These guys are being smothered.

Smothered by people that are in the Muslim Brotherhood and you start Egypt's turning mother brother has taken over the parliament who knows what happened when they take over that military that has.

Fighter planes paid for by the United States.

Those are big issues we sit here and watch and they are -- -- -- whatever democracy whatever I think they're kind of terrorists and we don't really engage with them but if you go -- -- meet with them.

There are genuine people who that are very fond of America they grew up in the west that are moderate Muslim but the moderate.

They don't believe that there should be you know religion and and the government.

United into one right they need help and you have that -- is just training in terms of how to organize their government or how to form political parties are -- games.

They need help and if we really want to see a future where these people places -- -- churning out terrorists.

We should actually engage these places before -- -- -- I mean President Obama did say that's what he wanted to do you want to engage someone -- revenue gauging the enemy in that we should not engage the enemy but.

I guess keep your friends your enemies -- I think that the different your friends -- your enemies closer as a -- we'll generally thing about a bad approach yeah and Obama's talking about is more like let's negotiate with the Talabani is not gonna take over Afghanistan after learning which is slightly different.

Distinction I'm writing by going into places like Egypt Libya to my.

I knew it -- had a ton of money that's kind of what.

And they're finally positioned in in that arc of instability that we just talked about and imagine what happened and leave it became truly democratic.

And became respectful of other countries and became respectful of other religions what a positive influence that'll have.

I don't know that the marriages when I was in Libya last that's entirely the leader of the supreme -- console armed forces of Egypt was there begging for money and -- -- -- And since I was not a good guy right and the fact that he's willing to take their advice and listen to them and that they can -- -- -- is.

An example US and with smarter strategy over the next 1020 years around our strategy -- -- -- -- -- -- Let's hope that nothing bad happens an -- from -- Matthew.

If you're in Hong thank you so much for coming on to talk to some really interesting points that -- made at managing director Pegasus strategies and also at Adrian pong on right there.

Thank you very much.
