Ratchet up the presidential race.

The RNC says Mitt Romney is their man but so far many Republican -- players -- Schneider and -- by senator Rick Santorum.

Former speaker of the house Newt -- and former Governor Sarah Palin but.

Is it next -- well about the fall.

New reports tonight the former candidate for president represented Michelle Bachmann is ready to make it official she will endorse former governor -- -- tomorrow but today.

The Romney campaign is taken off the gloves and hitting President Obama hard on jobs and the economy.

We measure progress by how many people can find a job pays the mortgage.

Where they can put -- little extra money away.

At the end of each month so you can someday watch your child receive.

Her college -- Easy chair -- -- just met the governor around a few hours ago and he joins us pity you -- -- Greta how are you very well so what governor Romney made he called on you with the RNC today telling what happened.

Welcome -- we've been.

We've been planning this merger here -- for a couple weeks we've we've declared that around in a presumptive nominee of course of our party that's an endorsement plus.

All of the resource all of the time the energy at the Republican national committee to make sure that he becomes the next.

President of the United States and so.

While I think a lot of times we talk about top line messaging at the party.

This is an election about the future of America it's not about our party it's about saving this country in defeating Barack Obama.

But the job.

Of the RNC and my job is to put -- on the target.

And make sure that we put an army on the ground going door to door winning this race whether -- absentee ballots in Columbus, Ohio.

Or Hialeah Florida whether it's Hispanic -- -- college students at the end of the day.

That's a lot less talk and that's a lot more action and that's what the Republican National Committee does.

And so Mitt Romney coming into the RNC today was a kick off of this merger between the RNC and our presumptive nominee.

So -- -- charge is it dead they have.

Governor -- -- you mean boo hoo -- -- shots of escaping -- there's -- means I was in some areas like the senate races does a yours.

But when it comes to presidential campaign and realize it is like a symphony mile great if you work well together but.

Whoever who's gonna -- -- we sort of calling the shots on us.

Why should -- mean it it is both parties a minute that's why it's a merger is not a takeover it's not.

There's not one entity swallowing up the other is two different entities working together to make sure that we keep one thing in mind.

Which is that we can't have another four years of misery of this president and you know I think that it's important for grassroots and and all the people out there to know all.

That this is the Republican Party we believe in this principles of liberating -- -- government liberty freedom to constitution.

James Madison all those things that make our party great.

So -- -- Mitt Romney.

And together between governor Romney the RNC.

And all of the resources we have we know that we -- defeat Barack Obama and end this European nightmare we've got cooking in the White House right now.

Stay am speaker Gingrich found suspend his campaign.

He was asked whether something about governor Romney Pat Devlin -- to conserve power something African hate -- -- so much.

But he city's market is more conservative -- then.

President Obama which is why I support him he's previously called -- a liar.

It's representative Bachmann I think it's called to governor -- a socialist as a result of Massachusetts Health Care I realize now I was are joining together circle lay off however here they hit -- all that stuff.

Bombing needed to either get hit with some some of those things but I think it candidate people understands that.

That that there -- differences between Barack Obama.

And governor around -- the most are the vast as differences that we've had in a presidential election I think in the history of of modern politics and so if the choice is four more years of European style cradle to grave government.

And a person who's made a living on making promises and keeping promises obviously I think that the American people in this country.

Are -- not necessarily serving for all Republican answers or democratic answers -- what they are starving for our people of their word.

To run for office serve this country and govern like they campaign unlike a president who's in love with the son of his own voice but he can't follow through on a single promise.

-- used to be that the Democratic Party had sort of the the bigger -- little more diverse number of people -- you know Republican Party to have an enormously diverse big -- not because you get the Tea Party you've got the event job because you've got some moderates you've got to the independents are trying to bring it tonight gets service at an IPO the job of trying to dust settled herd cats essentially.

-- give a strategy for that well here.

The strategy I mean that the fact -- -- matter is jobs the economy.

Are are driving everything in this election and so far this -- -- an abysmal failure in doing any of the things remotely close would you say.

That he would complete in regard to jobs the debt the deficit.

Lobbyists.

Being a uniter which is a divider.

I mean our strategy is to use this the standards in the promises that Barack Obama made that came out of his mouth.

Hold them to those standards show the American people what the truth is and where we are in this economy and make this election about liberty freedom.

And what this country's all about and I think that -- that we have something to fight for in this country.

And this president has been an impediment to all of those things.

Learn anything new and -- in an awful lot about governor Romney in the past here.

And it's in an awful lot about President Obama I was just commission a campaign we're gonna -- sound -- of what people said before and promised is that is that essentially this racist -- this -- something profoundly -- well you know I think that.

Mean there's a couple things one is top -- messaging and what I think Sandler -- like I mean what's gonna drive that what is going to drive the electorate really didn't really care about what -- what do people care about.

And I think people care about I think first of all they care about this country to care about what we're all about but they also care about whether or not you've got a president in the White House that actually.

Fulfilled the promises that he made to the American people mean it's always about.

Whether or not someone deserves.

Another four years in office so there's two boxes to check I think the first boxes.

-- -- better off today than -- for years ago has this person fulfilled the promises they made yes or no that's first check and and second -- is have the Republicans put an intelligent reasonable articulate alternative on the ballot.

That can help save this country and I think both of those boxes get checked.

And we have a president.

Who campaigned as the president of hope and change we -- know what he's done.

Failed promises.

A lot of things that he said didn't come easy to an -- well he's become the president of hype and the -- And and that's what -- know that magic is there -- it is is there anything that you can give him.

-- I think I can say okay well he did well on -- while.

I mean I think we've been very clear and we've been.

-- mean there's no question about it we we give the president a lot of credit and his role.

And the death of bin Laden.

Obviously the seals and our servicemen -- -- the country.

I mean -- I don't think you you take that away and nor would even attempt to but I would say when it comes to the issues.

That make this country great.

And when it comes down to the question of whether or not people in this country can work hard play by the rules and live the American dream.

I think this president spent -- terrible terrible failure.

We I think attention this agent they're very two very different candidates and it's not like -- ever -- move to the center for for a bid for the general.

-- -- two very different cannons and everybody.

And if I think people reject.

The hype and bland show cloning -- -- Washington style politics I think they wanted to do -- and I think that's the difference and that's when Mitt Romney or went.

Right -- -- CF OK thank you --
