But Fox News alert now three special agents with immigration and customs enforcement -- in shock while serving warrants in the San Francisco area.

We're told the agents were taken to the hospital with nonlife threatening injuries at least one suspect is now in custody.

Claudia Cowan is on that story live from Petaluma California with the latest Claudia.

Hi John the three S special agents with ice is Homeland Security were shot while carrying out to search warrants federal search warrants.

And it's unclear exactly why they were targeting this house we understand that they were right.

Carrying out high risk -- federal warrants related to an ongoing criminal investigation again.

This house targeted at around 4:15 this morning neighbors reporting.

Hearing quite a lot of gunfire guests at a best western hotel right next door were put on lockdown for a time.

Again the nature of this investigation is unclear as you mentioned one suspect is in custody.

And the investigation into these incidents and the related criminal case are both ongoing.

The agents were transported to local hospitals one was a take it away on a helicopter the other two by ambulance.

For treatment of what we're being told are nonlife threatening injuries.

And and really got is the only DTL we can pass along that right now John.

Law enforcement agents really not to releasing more information yet we hope to get some sort of a statement later today.

But as you can see at the -- very active a lot of Homeland Security officers still out here in east Petaluma back to you for -- and great to know those agents are going to be okay -- so it would seem quade.
