There in this -- in Tuscaloosa there in Alabama as you know last year at this time last year you had the devastating tornadoes that hit central Alabama.

Tuscaloosa Tuscaloosa being one of the hardest hit city areas of the state.

Of course there's been for the soon to -- center on the immediate relief there's often though a lot of I need there they go and met with families as being worked to fully recover from -- disaster.

And Denny I'm from New Orleans so I lived through an experience firstly that the -- -- so I understand that.

When something like this this or devastation hits and there's never really a 100% re clenching -- anything.

Quite frankly because it alters your life profoundly forever but there is a way to get back on your feet and here you are with the help -- FedEx in the Salvation Army.

-- word helping one particular family many people but there's a story of one family particular and you're getting them back into their original home right Denny tell me the story.

It definitely.

In this family here.

-- Iraq and Afghanistan.

So is there.

You can see the past and -- in the tornado came through.

Wiped out the foundation right.

Health effects and Robinson is Salvation Army -- -- about.

Give him home sleep in and -- it's.

There's going to be his own home -- first night here.

It took about five to six weeks to build this home.

So we're excited they've kind of get this area back going again you can still see all the devastation obviously this the first rebuilt home in this area.

Yeah I -- showing the pictures and it looks like we had a bunch of matches in boxes.

And -- it all up and threw it on the floor that's in those pictures look like that -- of people's lives as the people's homes.

And affecting you revered and you quoting you word your celebrity.

And popularity behind news is is something.

Fantastic and great and I know you wish you could build all the entire city of Tuscaloosa but.

Right now we're focusing on me it's -- neighborhood in Tuscaloosa called dot Alberta city which is where this gentleman is going to be spending the night.

His first -- back in his home that was destroyed.

Bombs the FedEx.

Danny is donating 101000 dollars to local Salvation Army how does that still -- to blanket something so -- -- Yeah I scraped its -- the FedEx is an over the past couple years.

With the Salvation Army -- joining up and helping them obviously there near there here when.

There were the first responders whenever there is a disaster and and they obviously if people didn't don't look at the necessarily until there's something that's wrong.

Big disaster and they need help so if FedEx has been partners with the Salvation Army the last couple years.

We don't need a few disaster relief vehicles -- them in the past.

In this time we're we're teaming up making a donation of 101000.

To them to help them with the relief efforts here in this area very good and talk -- -- -- this state wide recovery -- is that going.

It's coming along that thing didn't so obviously takes one home at a time me look around just in this area I can -- And there's a lot of businesses a lot of homes that are obviously been.

In dismantled says its its gonna take a long time to rebuild -- -- year it looks like it just happened a few weeks ago so it's it's a long process.

It's a long process.

This is the kind of story that I think Americans come together on so I want to let everybody know they want to donate to the Salvation Army says it's.

-- in town it's gonna be helping did that people with the immediate needs they can text the word storm ST ORM.

Text the -- storm to.

80888.

And that will automatically submit a ten dollars donation so -- text the word storm.

To the number 80888.

And you'll give ten dollars to the Salvation Army.

Denny before I let you go.

Why why do you do this kind of work would.

Because when you are doing this you get more out of and I know that's.

Well one thing is -- you know we're in a position where we can raise awareness.

-- -- with me being here and I have.

Couple of -- -- guys it raises awareness and obviously.

Gets the word out about the devastation and -- -- We need people.

All over to help donate.

Because you always talk about -- Can happen when the Ecstasy.

When it actually does -- -- UC -- affects you first -- Every one whole -- -- there hasn't seen and help but we're just trying to -- raise awareness of what can possibly happen.

And get you did it act before you know something bad does happen.

Being in -- so again -- -- you -- you wanna get them to donate to the salvation army of him -- -- at tech's number again in the moment they.

What about physical.

You know elbow grease do you need people to come down there -- of course you're not.

Inviting people to just you know in some sort of unorganized -- to come down their but it is spirit.

A company -- foundation that's working to.

With the rebuilding efforts that perhaps someone what's to come down there and we don't hammer out some supply would help rebuild -- -- the homes physically.

How do you go about doing the.

I don't know personally but I know that the red cross and the Salvation Army are always the first.

Couple of teams of people.

They come whenever there and -- Disaster.

Tornado is obviously one that happens the most often.

So I would encourage ever wanted to donate to them.

-- they need our proceeds sit for them to being and to operate in and help people.

In because they're nonprofit organizations so -- we'll try something good so it's really -- for everything that they do for our community and obviously receive firsthand.

Yeah -- -- so much for you know bring raising awareness to.

-- that very devastating situation there but people are strong people are resilient people are prayerful.

And they will recover but.

Definitely not without help.
