And for more on -- some joins now via Skype.

By doctor Paul wanna Charlie he's the executive vice president of Regent University thank you very much a talked about a tally for joining us the question now is just.

-- it is this a set -- this Chinese -- case is it's a setback for the Obama administration do believe.

It sure seems to be -- -- spending you know about 48 hours trying to figure out who messed this up and it's hard to imagine why the United States.

By the ambassador would get -- into the embassy if we were not prepared for this kind of outcome.

And it's hard to believe that he could just walk up there with his.

Disabilities an injury he received.

And you get past the Chinese clearly he was helped into our compound by our.

Government I can't imagine any other way god -- we should be prepared for this aftermath.

Did you find that interviewed to be believable the one that Mike Emanuel to stared -- with the Chinese official claiming that no one ever forced him to leave the embassy -- that his family was not threatened.

-- it's hard for me to believe that the Chinese.

Did not play a role in encouraging him strongly believe the embassy.

And it's also -- unbelievable that the United States embassy would have suggested to him that it might be better if he wanted to see his wife.

It usually Indian casinos are very plausible stories and right now.

If you have to pick US vs China -- sort of screw this up it seems like.

We look like we were prepared for something like this it may even have helped create problems ourselves a Chinese now.

Get to criticize us for meddling in air fares particularly if we really did get mr.

-- into the embassy in that he didn't come on his own power that we drove demand.

And they could even get -- PR -- out of it if they actually pay attention to some of his criticisms about local officials who are using central government law.

All he has ran afoul of of local government officials for exposing forced abortions escaped he -- -- from twenty months as you know home detention last week.

Now I fleeing into the hands of the United States but is certainly does raise a huge red flag for the United States is involvement when it comes to.

You know obviously -- guys -- every day citizen I mean he is a high profile citizen and and and many know of him because of the red -- that he has raised and certainly the Chinese Government does not like when its citizens stand up against it.

But what could this mean in any of the Chinese Government wants an apology from the United States is is now going to become a political issue and obviously.

You know our diplomatic ties with China are extremely sensitive with its relationship with.

With North Korea and and sanctions and I mean this could turn into -- real mass this one Chinese activists at the United States yours who was.

That was was offering shelter to could potentially.

-- years of of of progress that they've been trying to make with this country and the money that we have invested there.

Absolutely in the past this it is like -- -- created the same problem one person.

Creates a huge problem we saw that in the former Soviet Union.

It's interesting as you point out it's -- this mr.

-- is is not enough popularity at home it's not only sterilization forced abortions but he was a campaign are.

For those who had their land taken and and I think the point -- we should look at these are farmers.

Is this is local level.

Civic -- these are people at the local level upset about local officials.

Sort of doing whatever they want to do and the central government realizing they got a real problem.

And so an activist like chin is pointing that out and it's sort of going to pit the local government vs the central government.

And -- that -- I think -- the Chinese were Smart they would chide us for meddling in whatever role we played in getting into the unit in to -- But also take the opportunity to tell the local officials you need to -- -- you need to stop.

-- behaving that way because as many as -- mr.

-- and his family do suffer.

The Chinese ultimately lose this typical for the Obama administration though they look like they didn't weren't prepared for this.

And you have Bob pro lifers in the United States as well as part of the president's own basic care about human rights that won't like.

But they appear to be is this man was thrown under the bus.

Okay so Hillary Clinton says that the United States government the American people -- quoting are committed to their remaining engaged with mr.

Chen and his family in the days weeks and years ahead what if something happens to him his family I mean the United States really has no.

No power in the situation whatsoever they did have some power when they had it under their roof.

At the embassy but once they let him free I mean human rights activists have human rights groups which are.

A huge.

Constituency a huge supporting.

Group of President Obama -- are now going to be outraged at the fact the United States gave him back -- if you're gonna take a man.

You're throwing into the wolves by giving them -- Chinese Government is even more angry and then before he escaped house arrest.

I think it's actually right Julie that's what they'll be outraged about throwing in my back out so to speak but also.

The -- you have it all in and honestly I would like to see what it looks like when now Secretary Clinton says will be watching and paying attention to this.

Is absolutely nothing we can do now he's back into the hands of the Chinese.

Unless we want to make a big issue out of it and we look kind of absurd when we -- where we could protect him.

And so now we do I mean he's back out there we're not gonna do apologize I mean what's the next step is there any.

Is there any damage control -- can be done.

Then I don't think so I think that they're going to ignore it as best they can score at the agreement is well that they're they're not gonna apologize but they're not going to if if members of congress for example start to.

Criticize the administration for putting him back out of the embassy I think they'll try to two -- that is best that they can.

While noting that they're not apologizing.

They did say they wouldn't repeat this again right.

I really do I don't mean to be conspiratorial but we need to know how he got in there it's ambassador Bolton said this last night it's hard to imagine.

He got in without US help and that can be that thing that really embarrasses the Obama administration they were pro active in helping him get -- And then get him out and and that doesn't make.

Since and I'm worried about will come out in due time.

And Romney and several Republican lawmakers have already demanded that a -- and not back down to Beijing that is obviously going to come up.

It during this election -- and Romney's I mean Obama's handling of -- situations much like this one.

Handing over ten without adequate safeguards now obviously it is I just mentioned is gonna draw intense criticism from the human rights committee.

Community -- in the United States that's one of Obama's core.

Constituents -- -- mean -- Constituencies is that going to be something that we're going to be hearing from you think now on the campaign trail.

I I would think that the Romney campaign when -- make a point on a congressman Smith of New Jersey -- certainly made a point that there will be surrogates for the Romney campaign that will make a point -- it.

And of course it's perfectly legitimate that they do because the president made a lot of campaign speeches in the past and and while he was president about human rights.

And so I think that it candidate -- Romney is going to to address that.

Tell exactly what happened to -- while in custody by the way in his injuries and who who is responsible for them.

My understanding at this point is that that he was simply injured and in the house -- escaping from house arrest and I haven't heard any details on how that happened.

My guess is that.

Escaping from house arrest in a local area -- are or away from the limelight might have been a little easier and perhaps just being a blind person he was injured in some way.

But it's -- getting into the embassy is is really hard to believe -- -- -- Lineman Christian on top of it to get into the -- -- not that.

Is somebody had to have help them.

Well you don't approach the US embassy in Beijing without the Chinese Government security forces knowing you're doing it it's that simple and then they know what people look like they know what -- looks like obviously they've had him in custody before so.

It's it's as ambassador Bolton said he must have been in an American embassy car which is inviolable.

For him to get -- if that's not yet.

There has to be some other way I I can't believe -- security forces stood and watched him go into the embassy did nothing to prevent it.

All right doctor Paul -- -- -- we appreciate you coming on joining us via Skype thank you very very much doctor -- my pleasure executive vice president.

Grieving university thank you very much.
