In the back of the book segment tonight our attacks on political candidate espouses fair game.

The most recent example is in Romney who.

Or an expensive shirt earlier this week during an interview on CBS mrs.

Romney was blocked by some late night comics as well as some commentators.

On a competing cable news channel joining me now to react to this ongoing debate from Fort Worth, Texas Janine Turner.

He's a radio host on -- -- asked and from LA Fox News contributor Leslie Marshall.

OK ladies first of all I didn't see the interview lives but I didn't see mrs.

Romney at a clip on CBS.

And unusual not sure but I was kind of cool I thought it was a fish at first but apparently -- a bird.

And not allegedly gave him mrs.

Obama has been known to Wear some pretty pricey things I guess this was kind of an expensive shirt that.

Mrs.

and mrs.

Obama -- about 540 dollar sneakers and and massive fan of coach here -- a lot of friends like their blanks out.

What's the what's the big -- she doesn't really get criticized for that -- watch and -- Well -- -- first of all one is the First Lady one hopes to be the First Lady but that aside I have not in favor.

Of candidates wives or husbands.

Or presidents' wives thus far no husbands there are children.

Being attacked they didn't sign up for this they're not running for office this is not a package deal looking -- from Mitt Romney yeses his -- kids that they -- whatever package if you vote there.

I'll I don't I don't agree though because there aren't don't dictate policy the -- -- -- -- -- -- antibody that policy well I would.

The problem now and -- -- can chime -- -- Michelle Obama has been anointed as the most effective surrogate for her husband and I think that's accurate.

She is she is the most popular political art the cultural prop person probably the United States she raises more money than anyone probably except George Clooney.

Offer him.

And -- is advocating policies she's advocating nutrition health policy.

She -- in Tucson this week at a closed door fund raiser talking about her husband's health care bill so she if she has put herself out there as a policy advocate when you do that.

Do you put yourself in the spotlight sufficiently to be critiques for your policy ideas.

Well -- I believe that way you know what your president president's wife our president potential to be wife.

You're a glass house and there's just no way around that end everything you do and everything obviously that you Wear is going to be -- As we have found that whether it's Michelle Obama's 2000 -- -- or heard.

-- -- and Romney's 800 dollar when it was not -- artists -- extent that not ridicule but he's not ridiculed.

She had never really been ridiculed by the late night comics and I don't and I ran it does have I don't.

Just -- that's just a liberal bias you know but but I what I think is interesting to note here is that women are smarter than this and Americans are smarter than this.

And this isn't this spending that we should be worried about I'm now millionaires we should be worried about this pot of gold that Obama wants to promise all of us at the end of the -- -- blow.

And at that this deal in -- treated more debt in the past four years and off 43 presidents combined and -- with that suspending really act.

We should be focused on and and Leslie why do you think that is -- -- case that.

The late night comics -- all tend to be more liberal obviously Steward and that Letterman again.

But it's going to be more liberal.

They they really don't take off the gloves with.

With -- that female liberals like they do with female conservatives and I really -- I think it's all kind of funny but.

There does seem to be at bit of a balance -- is certainly a lot about Michelle in the garden and and bringing the children and until the garden that it's quite camera the minute I wrote about in the Obama diaries it was cameras out but they don't really -- do -- don't -- to go there.

All I disagree member of the right to bear arms talking about the first ladies biceps and quite frankly -- pop I don't think it.

I I don't think this is just I don't think this is just a liberal or conservative issue I think this is meant I attacking it seriously Nancy Pelosi Hillary Rodham Clinton -- Palin Michelle Bachmann.

Michelle Obama and -- what do they all have in common.

They're female what they look like what they're wearing that's attack -- talking about how much this attack guys out -- -- guy wearing IR.

Have a Michelle I don't the -- point here is that she doesn't really get that critiques like.

The conservative about politicos I don't think so I mean I think she's beautiful and she dresses really -- -- -- and -- now.

But if you're gonna play itself out there and politics and political matters I think you can't expect to be shielded from criticism that by the I appreciate both of you joining us back.
