Hi everyone I'm meteorologist -- Maloney now from the fox fixing weather center with your forecast for the southern plains as well as the southwest and today we hope we have a cold front moving into the center of a country.

And a -- we have warm temperatures and behind it cool temperatures.

And we can actually see that air mass contrast across one state the state of Texas today.

Take a look at our high temperature expected this afternoon in Amarillo only 69 degrees so it's going to be on the cool side.

Had an act cool fun though we have winds out of the south pulling in that warmer air north port.

And you had temperatures on the warm side 91 over in San Antonio nineteen Houston.

-- 89 degrees will be your high temperature over in the city of Shreveport Denver you're also on the cool side behind that front 51 degrees where high temperature.

But we do have a high pressure system that's building -- across the west northwest already seeing some of -- above average temperatures very pleasant conditions.

And California you're seeing some of that -- as well look Los Angeles expecting a high at 76 degrees.

And 74 over -- the city of San Francisco now as far as moisture goes we do have some of that early today across Colorado lower elevations you're gonna just be seeing me -- rain like the city of Denver were not expecting any snowfall.

But into higher elevations of the Colorado Rockies.

And you could be looking at as much as 69 inches of snow locally higher amounts of keep that in mind if -- headed out to the Colorado Rockies.

Otherwise in Mexico Arizona and also parts and he talks like and generally dry weather for today.

Texas you could actually seeing some showers and storms firing up later on the day today and some of those could actually turn severe so keep that -- -- live out here.

And that's going to be that case as well for parts of Arkansas eastern Oklahoma up into portions.

The great -- will be seeing some possible severe weather out there.

Otherwise by Tuesday morning also has some lingering showers and thunderstorms across Texas we can still use -- moisture out there so that's some good news.

New Mexico you're also gonna have to do some showers.

They hate California Nevada Utah and Arizona your Sauna dry side and that will be the case as well as we head into Wednesday morning.

Meanwhile Texas we'll continue to see that moisture and temperatures that are going to be a little bit cooler than when -- had to endure.
