What President Obama facing some new challenges when.
Kicking off his reelection campaign this picture posted to Twitter by Mitt Romney's deputy Press Secretary to -- was not sold out as evidenced by the top section.
In Columbus, Ohio Karl Rove reacts former senior advisor.
Deputy chief of staff to George W.
Bush in a Fox News contributor sir good morning -- -- -- be at a -- weekend you -- did.
All right -- now you brought not one white board today.
But two for -- to get the reaction to what what the Romney team did is they went to this event.
And they can't -- around they're the reporters section and all of our cameras and then they sent that Twitter picture blast -- out there.
Across the Internet and really this started to become one of the major headlines from the event as opposed to the president's message -- you take that.
-- a bad advance work -- the Columbus Dispatch reports that there were 141000.
Roommate for 1000.
And I don't know how many were you -- shoveled on the floor but not you know not a good day at the headquarters in Chicago I bet there's an advancement -- Now been assigned to do all the events and you know.
-- -- -- You know Laredo Texas -- nothing that they're not going to be handling major markets.
And it's an interesting way to kick off in that you -- wonder how this.
Is starts to -- in the campaign.
Yeah -- because via -- probation was much the so sure -- Only you don't get an arena that's that's larger than the -- that you get an arena that's supposed to be smaller than the crowd you're gonna -- But look let's not read too much into this this is probably bad advance work when -- empower the Obama campaign.
I'd be worried about some other things namely the fact gallop just finished the poll.
They released on April 26 in which inaudible this is the entire country.
78% of the voters said that they were.
That they were -- definite to vote this fall obviously 78% won't turn out but that's their inclination.
But the Republicans had an advantage 87% of them said they -- gonna vote.
Day 81% for Democrats and 69% of independents and among independents the Republican leaning independents were more likely to vote -- the democratic in leaning independents but and vote ten point word that goes to voter enthusiasm does that -- that's that's right that's right and look what you.
Rallies aren't necessarily an indication of voter enthusiasm Obama ahead big rallies for years ago -- one.
But in 1972 George McGovern's rallies at the end of the campaign.
Were extraordinarily large and he went down to a 49 state defeats so.
Gotta be careful about reading too much in the crowds but if you look at the president's standing among some groups there were so key to him last time around like young people.
He won by 34 point margin recent polls indicate.
That that margins being cut in half.
And that more important and even the margin is that there enthusiasm down on the likelihood of voting is much much reduced from what was OK that's one white board you have a second what is it.
Well look here's the bigger problem for the president the pretty and it just doesn't it's just not that -- beat the the poll numbers about definite to vote this is what got me on Friday.
If you take a look at this jobs report -- 1151000.
And look at the discouraged workers people got so.
Fed up and and discouraged about looking for work they dropped out they outnumber the new jobs by three to one that's gonna have a huge impact on the president bulls by.
Energizing people say we've got to have a change and by discouraging people who said I believed -- But and in my life is not what what well is not gonna be -- typically what would that ratio be.
Well it shouldn't be -- -- were positive sign.
You ought to have a lot more people getting jobs than did people who are getting discouraged -- and dropping out of the workforce we have the smallest.
Percentage of Americans.
In the work force that we've had since 1981.
And that in a record we'd like to have and that's why this you -- on employment ticked down last month but only take down 110 of percent.
And it'd take down because more people left the workforce and got jobs and the you know we were we were we were we were taken one step -- in three steps back.
Got to listen there are two things that wanna get too quickly this is a poll that was done in the swing states present Obama with a lead by two points.
Over Mitt Romney it's 47% to 45%.
We will watch that because in general everybody thinks this election's going to be super tight.
The other thing -- what senator Marco Rubio severed Chris Wallace on FOX News Sunday this goes to more -- OK listen to it'll ask you about this.
He's become increasingly do this and in fact this president's rhetoric today quite frankly it's just like anybody else in Washington.
All the things that made -- different and special for years ago are gone.
And now all he does is run dividing Americans against each other obviously because he can't run on his record this is what Republicans are gonna argue you can't recognize the guy now that we had 2008.
Yeah right and look that poll is tied with -- with senator ruby those comments let's put that -- -- you said 4745.
What those are twelve battleground states -- President Obama carried every single one of them in 2008.
Did what he got -- states.
54 to 46.
The president standing in these critical battleground states is down seven points.
And governor Romney is running just simply one point behind where Senator McCain was at this point but senator but President Obama has run at seven points behind where he was.
Look at the Republicans need to win six of those twelve states and then when the White House.
And with the numbers being what they are today 4745.
They're poised to do it and Karl Rove thank you referred term.
