It's a brand new developments in the GOP race for the white house with governor Mitt Romney the presumptive nominee the focus now shifts to the number two slot.

It seems like rising Republican star Marco Rubio might be trying out for vice president with.

The Florida senator turning into secret weapon of sorts maybe not so secret.

For mr.

Romney's campaign.

On FOX News Sunday -- blasted the sitting president saying mr.

Obama has lost his political touch take a listen.

This president's rhetoric today quite frankly it's just like anybody else in Washington.

All the things that made -- different and special for years ago are gone.

And now all he does is run dividing Americans against each other obviously because he can't run on his record there is a point of diminishing return on Washington experience.

And what I've learned about Washington is that sometimes if you're there too long you start to believe that certain things are no longer possible if you're there too long.

You start to become like the way the president has become that this of cynical.

Tom given to hyperbole on these issues always looking for the opportunity to pit Americans against each other and some sort of political calculation.

What made President Obama different in 2008.

What he promised to unite Americans and and talk above these kind of issues they hadn't done that anymore.

Joining us now Kato the -- the former chair of the Republican Party in Virginia and the vice president of the young America's foundation also with us Christopher Hahn.

Former aide to democratic senator Charles Schumer and Fox News contributor.

You have a young articulate minority candidate potentially running.

We're not talking about President Obama here Christopher we're talking about this guy mark Marco Rubio -- does he seem like a potential.

Republican threat to you on the democratic side.

You know he used to be and then he sponsored the -- rubio amendment which I like to call.

-- ask your boss if you're allowed to have sex amendment or ask your boss if you're allowed to get an appendectomy -- -- -- I don't know that that will allow him not only to be vice president but he might have a hard time getting reelected to the senate in Florida and 2016.

That is a very radical outside the mainstream belt not prior to that I thought Marco Rubio -- -- rising star I thought he was a guy who in 2016 would be a likely Republican contender for president.

There's a lot of things to like about him but I don't understand why he went down that road will -- rubio and then.

Kate there was a time when not pay any relatively unknown new Illinois State senator -- -- Barack Obama was a rising star is he going to get reelected.

Well I think mark every BO -- of poses a real threat to that prospect and -- yesterday's performance on Fox News was that.

Pretty good indication of why Democrats are so terrified of -- and why there trying to attack him already because he is a threat he -- On this dying and make articulate spokesmen he's able to articulate.

Conservative values it's -- a way that Obama did four years ago for the laugh.

In a way that's very non threatening very unifying.

On.

-- I think -- need to really inspire and invigorate the base something that had the more managerial.

Mitt Romney's not able to do any concept gets young people fired up which after this -- -- with all those empty -- at that.

College auditoriums we know Obama is having an increasing problem when -- we heard a lot about.

Hope and change four years ago Christopher what happened to it.

Play I think to go to watching tin and you know you can take some of the Republican ideas like Mitt Romney's health care bill and asked Republicans to support the -- they've supported for years and they say you know what.

You're a Democrat we don't want to support that -- slap your handouts and after awhile doing that.

You've got to go a different.

For proof you have got to become adversarial because that that the process -- you do.

So so the president is going to be adversarial it's going to be an adversarial campaign I mean I'm about more negative and tell -- that what you're saying of course OK -- of course yeah.

So hero campaign of course -- case.

Think you have to take on that adversarial time when your policies are not working when.

You -- follow this redistribution -- policy where you spend trillions of dollars print trillions of dollars still.

And you end up with only escalating unemployment numbers the longest period of -- being.

Unemployment being ever 8% and -- you have to -- and there's this period of time when you have to try to hit Americans.

Against each other in order to detract from and -- really abysmal economic situation so we're gonna hear increasingly note did this have.

Angry rhetoric coming from the president.

Let me respond to that a little bit because I think I think your factually mistaken here.

Unemployment hunt down every month for the last year and a half.

We created a war and our -- person private sector jobs we we we -- President Obama has not raise taxes on anyone and in fact that proposed more small business tax cuts than any president in his first term in the history of this country.

And we have we have seen a shrinking of government workers in this country I.

You.

May bring -- president.

Christopher got -- -- you brought up the point the only reason the unemployment rate dropped last month is because more people left of the workforce they just quit looking for work that does deserve to be.

Pointed out -- baby boomers retire Kate.

That's what it as.

You know went in and -- think they economic situation is dire and it's Blake Young Americans in particular.

Women are facing winning and then the poverty rate for women is the highest since then.

In seventeen years unemployment for young people -- that on the upper -- -- high.

And yet the left still wants to convince us that because we have worn more government workers because we're this infusion of government finds into the private sector somehow our economy as a -- think Americans know that they're gas prices aren't going through the -- and so -- -- our grocery prices Americans are feeling right me -- not that I.

What we're gonna say hello litigated yet that -- and that's what we're going to be and they created right here the first word I'm gonna have to end it there to Vermont to Obama agenda.

Thank you both.
