These of course are not the only possibilities.
Let's look at the top tier of the others and the long shots.
Two term Indiana governor Mitch Daniels has a reputation for budget cutting and fiscal conservatism.
He's not flashy but has a record of turning Indiana -- around and that could play national you can't run -- family.
Gas station let alone a country with these levels of debt.
And it's mathematically certain we're going broke if we don't change in a very large way.
Analysts say there are many reasons Daniels was talked about as a possible presidential candidates.
But there's debate about his meal on a ticket with Romney -- -- hasn't come up from.
Places Romney needs I think he'd be an excellent vice president and in on deficit and some of the budget problems be an asset.
In office but I'm not sure he's gonna he helps you get to office and that's that's part of the problem.
I sat here -- here very respectfully listen.
If what you wanna do -- put on a show and giggle every time mark talk.

New Jersey governor Chris Christie is seen by many as one of the most successful GOP rising stars.
Doing so on a traditionally blue state his greatest achievement may have been taking on the public sector unions.
Even those little creepy note that what -- committee -- And tell all good do something.
Good to it.
Regardless of the perceived political cost.
If I tell them no.
No means no.
Everyman as governor of New Jersey has shown an ability to connect with that kind of voters sort of blue collar working class people suburbanites whom.
Governor Romney needs to care in order to win states like Ohio and Michigan and Pennsylvania.
But demographically most analysts agree Christie could not deliver New Jersey for the GOP.
And while he is said to have a close relationship with Romney Christie's blunt style could possibly overshadow the nominee.
The downside is super charisma and I always have what I call the Hollywood agent rule.
I pretend I'm Robert Redford's -- in the studio -- -- -- -- a lot of money behind a Bob Redford movie.
We know is a little older but is a great star gonna try one more time great script that co star the smaller part.
We're thinking Brad Pitt and -- -- Redford's agent I'm gonna say I love Brad Pitt but you know there's always -- -- -- -- You gotta be careful about the number two having surplus of charisma and attention because in comparison he can weaken -- image.
Of the candidate that ultimately people make their decision about.
South Dakota standard as soon as a rising star in the party in the Republican leadership in the senate and -- -- Romney endorser who campaigned with him.
You don't get a state you need with soon but several analysts say you get a media friendly GOP pick I am a -- -- conservative.
Right of -- Republican and who believes that in a limited role for the federal government former Florida governor Jeb Bush has been called by some the perfect pick on policy and demographics.
But his last name linking to the last administration.
Seems to be moving him down the list.
And I think it's important to Hispanic communities the very same thing that's important to Americans.
Across the country and all families New Mexico governor Susana Martinez at Latina and successful western state governor has been mentioned.
But several analysts say she's not the right pick now.
I think -- issues a rising star in the Republican Party I do think that.
She is right to be so emphatic insane notion just -- -- be considered I think that that you know the executive experience of being the governor will well serve her in the future but I I think it's a little premature.
New Hampshire senator Kelly a -- a former attorney general there has been campaigning with Romney and even defended her resume over the weekend I have.
Some would say better experience than Barack Obama had when he was a senator -- having been the chief law enforcement officer my state South Carolina governor Nikki Haley also endorsed early.
But downplayed VP possibilities.
But no I'm gonna stay in the state and continue doing what I -- talented former presidential candidates Rick Santorum and Tim Pawlenty have attractive qualities to unite the party.
But are seen as long shots as -- Louisiana governor Bobby gentle and Kentucky's senator Rand Paul.
Ron Paul's son for Romney to unite Paul supporters I think.
Rand -- would be a very interesting pick.
Way out there in terms of I don't expect Romney to do it.
But I was there were days when I wondered about it when you saw that two Ron Paul and him in debates and things and it -- And the longest of long shots.
Current CIA director and retired General David Petraeus.
-- -- General Petraeus does not see himself as either -- Dwight Eisenhower.
-- Douglas MacArthur or even -- Ulysses -- Grant ready to ride it does.
Ended in the political lives like he's -- in the battle.
In a final look our analysts agreed the Romney campaign will probably follow this rule first do no harm.
The elections about the presidential candidate and if you pick wrong and vice president trying to get two -- of swinging for the long ball.
