The navy seal at war -- welcome back.

That is so is great to see you.

First off we know about lone survivor did you expect this type of success in terms of sales.

-- no actually not I didn't.

And having had there was going to be capable or how people we're gonna accepted and taken and and and and the impact -- it had on everybody who has read and heard the story so.

No I didn't but I'm glad that it did I'm -- this type some and -- Is it that prompted you know that that comes to a close in the movie's gonna stop in 2005 yes -- So now this book service picks up after that because would you -- is pick up and you -- back.

-- did after recuperating hasn't hospital that's in surgeries -- -- so expect it now and I got back on the line and went back over again -- direct -- six not seven and that's kind of where the book picks up this.

Kind of -- this -- -- there how how.

Everything went down out there what happened in Maine new kind of pretty much in in my career -- is a little bit about on Afghanistan some of the stuff that we can talk about in the first books and.

So you went back.

There wrapped around -- time in Iraq that wasn't exactly love Bermuda or a Ruble.

There was an idea and they come out of that offload more -- -- you know and I when -- -- mega man and in the Al Anbar in 0607 it was definitely hell on earth so.

It was tough.

-- was in the messages.

Not only to the guys that serve the men and women who served -- comes out in this book is the salute to the families.

You know you saw the little boy try to pitching his dad comes home -- you believe they're they're the real heroes.

Absolutely absolutely and -- touch on that you I think that a lot of times that the -- the wives you know they they get overlooked a lot and and that was one of them the main.

Objectives to getting this done was to to hire them.

Right today you're married I am married yes so -- you you've had the full picture you over -- -- when you're single.

At our feet is mr.

Rigby.

Tell us about mr.

Rigby -- Meehan have been partners for about three years I lost my first service dog.

To kind of -- hate -- if you will.

Once skull yeah absolutely had just gotten out a hospital for another surgery and -- not -- and forum.

For Gaza are out there.

Beaten with a baton and shot and killed her so vicious wind might want to sit in the that we were yeah -- was and then there's -- -- and -- and animals and then.

They happened come upon line which was in state.

And it was the name of the there's there's your dog -- hazy there -- and then you went out.

And the -- these guys down.

I did -- absolutely so brought him to justice did one -- and in.

Did you ever think you'd be -- to entice what she got home I.

I thought it was over you know mean -- up the guns and was just home relaxing and trying to heal button and move on my life and then obviously that goes down so it.

The -- what I expected but -- from taking care of it.

C get mr.

-- it's a place -- other service dog.

Five years old now is and is so he's trained to do.

Why they are working combat -- -- -- is nodding my age he's.

Eases strain take care of me when I when we first got together I was still pretty banged and -- hard meaning get around it and just panel.

Live live daily functions and what not but you know now that I've progressed and now he's still with me United's these numbers for and I -- can't get rid of him so much titanium do you have -- -- A lot I think you -- -- yes there absolutely.

Every time I go and it seems like and some more so.

Hopefully that was going to be the last one but we'll we'll see what have.

And while you look great I just talked to a springing up to date is trying -- your opinion what's happening which you know would.

People like to say Afghanistan well that's a good war.

This Iraq that's a that's a war we do need.

You have a different view.

Why not I don't think any war is a good war in and we were talking about this the other day is to say you know he sees activists -- everybody out there seeing them bring the troops home -- you know we wanna come -- -- -- badly wants to come home but you know I've that if that.

The United States they send us -- in the battle then and that's we need to do we go -- only until we get it done.

And a now what's got everybody to understand that said just kind of going to -- it behind us and now allow us do our job and get us back at Afghanistan aren't there are two different wars.

Two different scenarios altogether so it's kind of hard to.

Meant to categorize and and one -- nine.

In your book you -- -- the grateful this is some of the people you came across his who just were happy to which you've done.

And the millions of there in school -- -- -- eight it's.

Everyone kind of like why are you wire we are you that question I'll tell wire in -- what are we doing there and every time you explain to them one reason and then and then become active to a -- but I what I was out there one time and we were.

I'm -- house with a lady and her if she was like you know my husband's dead and my three boys they've been killed taken from me and and I just want to thank you for being over here and -- helping us out and and you know and taking.

Protecting us you know and just look at her eyes and watching her say that it was just -- is justified -- reason why I was over there -- United States is known for going out.

And help the people in need.

They needed help he nominated him.

To get out from underneath the thumb and and I -- -- that justified it for me.

Marcus -- sure this book like -- -- is going to be a best seller is called service.

It picks up where you left off you've had a fascinating life to service you get into the countries or below already over the top.

It was great to be -- -- Appreciate you have no I could see Marcus thanks that's -- look at this meanwhile.
