Hi everyone I'm meteorologist Mario Molina out from the fox extreme weather center with your forecast for the southern plains as well of the southwest and how taxes it is a whole lot cooler out there today because of a cold front has finally pushed -- our state.

Bringing in a release from all that heat and humidity that we've been experiencing over the past several days of Dallas 73 -- -- very high temperatures today and across western Texas.

We're actually seeing temperatures well below its typical this time of the year -- so -- on the cool side and Amarillo and Midland.

Only into the -- 67 -- will be your high temperature.

Over and El Paso but to that -- this cold front is still on the warm side like in New Orleans we're expecting a high temperature -- -- increase it just shy of ninety out there.

As we continue our track westward eighty threw behind Los Angeles a warm day out there are 73 and San Francisco we have high pressure in place across southwest.

So -- is warming things up and also bringing in all that sunshine 66 will be -- in Denver's a little bit warmer today than yesterday.

An Albuquerque you're going to be seeing a -- this afternoon at 68 degrees.

-- we still hasn't lingering showers and thunderstorms out across Texas and there -- stay there not just for today but also as a head to tomorrow.

See you aren't they need the umbrellas across western parts that -- especially early today -- we have some of those heavier batches of rain.

In any -- today and also into tomorrow and -- rain boots as well because some -- storms can produce some pretty heavy downpours.

As a -- track westward four corners relatively quiet California and Nevada.

Relatively quiet as well as we head into -- read -- you do see some spotty showers and thunderstorms that are going to be popping up here and there across portions of New Mexico and also southern Arizona.

Starting to get -- -- time of the year we start to see some of that moisture creeping into that desert southwest regional country.

And across so -- Texas still seeing some lingering showers and storms.

As we head into Wednesday morning and by Thursday most of northern Texas -- a relatively quiet as well as Oklahoma and Kansas vacancy -- that lingering moisture still across that southwest portion of the state of Texas California and Nevada so relatively quiet.
