We're told an upgraded version of the bomb used in that failed attack on -- Detroit bound plane back in 2009.

On Christmas Day and it contains no metal parts making it very difficult to detect.

It probably would mean that an individual carrying such a device could could easily walk through the metal detector and and and not set off any alarms.

Which means we would be depending on the individual being -- with a a full body -- And there it's not certain.

Whether the device would be detected this is -- very clever guy very good.

The device is described to fox as an improvement over this one it does not contain any -- as you mentioned John and the detonator has been modified.

The device -- all the hallmarks of -- Syria was behind the underwear bomb the printer cartridge bombs and a plot to assassinate a Saudi prince in 2009.

This morning the administration stood behind its statements that the device was not tied to the one year anniversary of the seal race.

The statement was that there was no specific credible plot tied to the anniversary of -- -- death.

So.

And that was it is an accurate statement.

But in a briefing to coincide with the anniversary Fox News as a senior counterterrorism official if another device had been picked up.

And it was denied quote.

I'm not familiar with the report you just cited of another bomb in the last six months.

So nothing's been intercepted or picked up not that I know of this morning -- the law enforcement sources told fox that they believe the credibility of homeland security and the FBI has been undercut because on the eve of the anniversary.

They issued a bulletin saying there was no plot when the administration knew a device had been intercepted.

This source questioned whether politics have been put ahead of national security in this case John.
