In Ohio a recent quinnipiac poll shows mr.

Obama with a two point lead while the real clear politics average shows -- slightly larger lead.

Meanwhile in Virginia -- Washington Post poll out this week puts the president's seven points ahead the real clear politics average -- that lead down to three.

Joining us now for a fair and balanced debate radio talk show host Leslie Marshall and markets welcome to the to -- -- to -- your today.

Nice to be here -- Let me let it be -- -- the president officially getting his campaign underweight today against a backdrop of discouraging news yesterday on unemployment.

Even though it's now slightly lower the improvement is entirely due to the fact that so many people have given up trying to find a job.

-- curb the president's reelection -- No I don't think it does at all because when you look at.

Compared to years ago certainly even though it's a small gain over a 100000 jobs gained -- certainly not over 700000 jobs lost firstly.

Secondly it -- in November it's not going to be for most voters about numbers and Democrats are gonna vote for.

The president Republicans are gonna vote for Mitt Romney were looking at a practically 50% of the independence the centrist.

And -- are they going to vote they're gonna vote more with their feelings how they feel about the economy.

How they feel about unemployment is posted just numbers and honestly how they feel about the candidates the relatable and if they're likable.

And although I do think it'll be it a very tight -- biting race I'm very content and present will be -- the Martha just figures show that -- among job seekers is growing what impact will this have on the race if they're so frustrated.

With the president.

But what makes you so sure that Mitt Romney can do any better.

Well I think Leslie has a very very good point it's not going to be so much about the minutia of the numbers it'll be kind of a more organic thing how.

How -- we feeling about the economy in general come that first Tuesday of November.

And along those lines as can be Mitt Romney's job it's every Republican's job to have a strategy if the job numbers are actually you know heaven forbid looking a little better.

And the way to approach that is -- -- we we still have enormous crazy spending.

We still have obamacare -- dragon that must be slain we still have assaults on your liberty is coming from the president economically and socially.

So listen I want the job numbers to get better but I want governor Romney and all Republicans to have a message they can use to win nonetheless.

Now this week the White House in a move to win over female voters unveiled the -- campaign on the Internet.

Showcasing the fictional Julia and how the president's policies helped women from the moment they're born.

If we call that for a moment we see Julia at three years old.

For example and it says because of the -- President Obama has taken to improve programs like this when Julia -- thousands of students across the country who will start kindergarten readiness to learn and succeed.

And -- Mitt Romney saying that he will cut Head Start Programs like this by 20%.

On the other side of people who are conservative and who don't agree with this are staying right people -- the -- -- -- your religion.

-- as a mommy love -- saying that under the current progressive policies Julie's mom has forced to work outside the home she -- rely -- government run child care program.

-- will spend two years overcrowded rooms with a minimal standards of learning shall enter kindergarten at a severe disadvantage.

-- other children whose parents had more options.

Leslie you know Ronnie never say he would actually cut has -- 20% this campaign is a bit misleading isn't it.

While both sides have a lot of information and taken leeway and that's typical unfortunately.

But when you have an election year and not just presidential elections it could -- proof is in the pudding and historically and statistically over the past.

Decade or so mudslinging.

You know like taking things out of context those -- they've worked I don't like them but they are very effective and that's what politicians.

Do use -- -- right and left but what is not an accurate -- the platform that Mitt Romney will soon be standing on that GOP.

That is wrapped in the color red as opposed to the blue when you look historically whether on a state level or federal level.

Democrats are always the ones fighting -- live in California we hear in California Democrats we're fighting.

To keep education one of the reasons Julius classes over crowded is because Republicans are constantly cutting -- -- it to me what -- they.

You know get into a room and say okay we need cuts one of the first things they cut.

Is education so -- Julie's gonna suffer from education.

Or are not be able to have a federal pell grants are not be able to borrow more money.

-- for secondary education I'm sorry but I put that.

I'm mark -- OK mark up photos I hope this can only -- -- you -- -- don't the president and I don't I love it if I can't adopt a yeah I hear different I'd love.

Let me get -- I didn't mention the president's vision want people understand that it's all that the government directing people's lives.

Yeah yeah thank you have thanks for the -- lobby here we go.

-- I love Julie Julie is an opportunity for Republicans are saying hey Julia how about getting out of the government trough and living your own life.

The thing that's gonna make -- ready for that first day of kindergarten is the quality of her family.

Not the per capita spending in her classroom it is proven there's no connection.

Between per capita spending -- actual quality.

Of education that anybody yet I -- president Julia in which it about the age thirty she unhooked from the government -- becomes an entrepreneur makes a million dollars becomes the governor of red state and is elected the first American Republican woman president.

I mean Julius life can go a lot of ways we want liberty and less taxation and more freedom for -- and I'll take that the bank -- -- that.

-- -- Well first of all I gotta say about that space for the record.

If my party doesn't put the first woman in office I think I they have the -- So I'm expecting out of my body and I certainly helping her initials -- HR city I'm still hopeful but it out.

Mark you're wrong I have a four and five year old look at a married to a position that god loves stats and science minded I mean.

He studied their preschool like they were going to Harvard or Stamford.

And when you have more kids in the classroom there's less individual attention so the kids fall behind fall father behind and they fall farther behind quicker.

Asked to some of those programs that Julia you feel is breastfeeding from.

Well they're not gonna -- you guys -- -- -- Social Security you wanna cut Medicare.

And it's easy for people who are very wealthy are very comfortable to say.

To a woman who's got four kids whose husbands who husband left her for Republican secretary I got was pulling three waitress shifts to say get off the gov RI I'm running we have -- -- let me get mark the last word here.

Well the bottom line is is is I know it's easy to paint that only the government safety -- can -- women who are in dire circumstances I would say that those women.

That your kids and mine -- a twenty year old daughter and and a nine year old son and their lives are better in schools that are well run and well managed this notion that if if funding is cut that automatically you must have larger class sizes not at the school is well run and not overspending.

It is better for all women all girls all boys and all -- to have responsible taxation responsible spending.

And let Julia and Jeremy and whatever counterpart we may -- let the boys and the girls brought to be men and women.

In America where there's reasonable spending fiscal responsibility and fair taxation all right -- -- mark Leslie always great to have you on board thank you so much for insight today.

Thank you you.
