Probably got out a little over his keys but out generosity of spirit.
Would I have preferred to have done this in my own way in my own terms without I think they're being a lot of notice to everybody.
Of course but all -- well that ends well that was President Obama talking to ABC news yesterday blaming the sort of strange rollout of his new stance as it relates to same sex marriage.
-- Vice President Biden getting ahead of himself and being a little -- -- on NBC's Meet the Press on Sunday.
This is power play I am Chris tire wall we're going to talk about the gay marriage stuff.
We're going to talk about.
What's going on.
With Mitt Romney we're going to talk about efforts in congress to undo.
The debt ceiling deal that calls for big cuts in the military.
We're going to do that and we will also talk about Vladimir Putin's.
Who -- the president Obama's G-8 summit.
We will do all of that and you know who will help us do that.
Will be Tony Welch who you know and you know that he is the former Press Secretary for the Democratic National Committee is a democratic strategist.
He is pro American as stipulated.
I'll also pro American is David -- Is a new to this show Internet so please welcome him.
He is the president of gopac which is short of like the candidate recruitment arm of the Republican Party they go out and trying to get the bench together and recruit people to run for -- -- -- the country is also in West Virginia and that's -- Show welcome.
-- good at -- -- the video OK so.
Let's get this and leaving aside everybody this evokes strong -- issue of gay marriage -- -- strong feelings.
Among people pro and against.
But we don't care about that your day just a refresher on what we do it -- -- really care about the cynical politics can't I would I would critics who feel what happened.
We want to talk about a man that lost whatever.
Let's talk about first the president.
Singling out Biden and basically like Baghdad sheriff Joseph what can you do he's always -- -- -- and now I have to do this does this make it.
-- well is typical of this president it's blame someone else.
The economy was George Bush -- thought this roll out as Joseph Biden's -- this president loves blaming someone else.
Never does he wanna be held accountable for anything and even as we get ready for this presidential election he wants to continue to blame but will it.
Work not help him to basically say -- because part of the problem.
And I wanna get your take on this Tony part of the problem here is.
That folks in North Carolina where pro.
Gay marriage activist just got -- Just got -- by twenty points down there they're like.
You couldn't have told us this on Monday -- might have helped us before we got shelled out Tuesday.
And it's it.
The president was gonna get there eventually they say he just didn't wanna do it this week and in this way does this make it all of this one point deficit to present blame somebody else -- presence dobbs also told what happened to Biden went on.
National television work.
Except I think the president had to respond to that -- that's that's his take he was okay yes it's -- yet say what happened but.
There's this that isn't adding up.
If this is going to -- the president in North Carolina.
And and then that might be the case of the voters vote turnout and it also will look at -- maintain it wasn't all that courageous.
Decision on his part.
That doesn't if if it could see in the -- room that's -- his decision and and so.
One of the important things to note about North Carolina where the anti gay marriage amendment passed by huge amount when he points twenty points.
Was that the intent in North Carolina was to hold that election.
On the primary the low turnout primary the thinking was it wouldn't pass at the high turnout.
General election.
I think that matters I think -- I think we we should take that with a grain of salt and and again if you were gonna vote for President Obama because of his stand on.
On marriage.
He probably doesn't count your vote now is -- the certainly there is good and bad in this for the president.
There's good in the sense that.
It's number one it is not.
About the economy and Mitt Romney yesterday -- had to be out there saying.
-- in very Romney asked terms sort of like I've been talked about that and I do not want to talk about that anymore.
He said so that's good for Obama it's also good for Obama that.
Watching most important one in six of his top butler's.
Are gay or lesbian.
This helps that this this puts there -- horror all the way in the game because now they're really fighting for and trying to raise this money and it may coupled with suburbanites.
What do you say -- the Tony's point that.
He's that this doesn't that the downside here is is is marginal because the folks in that who were gonna vote with him on this issue.
Not gonna -- them anyway.
Well it it potentially.
Causes him.
Some heart -- now in states like Florida which if you look at.
Who voted against marriage amendment or who votes against management seniors are overwhelmingly big time in those numbers in a state like Florida a huge.
Senior population states like Colorado where there's a huge evangelical.
Population states like Nevada where there is a huge Mormon population.
And they were.
Had a huge influence and -- California brought this up for a vote even states like Iowa where after three Supreme Court justices.
Ruled in favor of gay -- they were all defeated in the next election so there is some.
Some potential negative to him that says look this elections about the economy and ultimately every day that the president can get Republicans -- the political universe talking about something other than his abysmal record.
At managing the economy.
It's a good day for that that federal inmate Tony might have actually won West Virginia if Obama had said this on Monday.
There is a downside for word the president isn't there I look at Ohio I look at Western Pennsylvania.
I look at places where people -- deeply held.
Religious convictions on this subject a lot of Catholic voters who -- wanna be on your team had just a struggle I just can't imagine that those voters wouldn't have been moved when the president.
-- Don't Ask Don't Tell him I couldn't imagine that those -- those voters wouldn't have been moved.
Wouldn't -- -- when the president said he wasn't going to have the federal government.
And enforce don't.
So or or oppose the dome site I think gives if you take a look at actual actions as opposed the -- simply saying.
I think.
-- -- -- ought to be able to get married.
I think there was there were other things of that because people were paying close attention -- those I think it's and to get to the economy issue I think President Obama was more than happy and had a great day on the day that Mitt Romney had to say oh by the way I support -- the auto bailout the whole time.
In fact I take credit for I think that was -- great position for the president because nobody -- Mitt Romney when he said that.
That he was on the wrong side of saving Detroit.
Michigan and Ohio one point four million jobs I I think President Obama was more than happy to have that conversation and see Mitt Romney coming to his side.
All although he was lying when he's -- gentlemen were.
Irritating the Internet the Internet does not like this topic because the Internet I think has a lot of libertarians on it and they generally don't care about this subject.
Mike Carter.
Says this.
Why what are we talking about today and most of this week the economy.
Foreign policy know this morning's interview isn't politically motivated at all and I think -- there's something to be said for that I think that -- from the president's point of view he was having that he had a bad series of weeks.
Especially as it related to the economy this changes the discussion -- put Romney on a subject he's not comfortable talking about.
So.
You know maybe there's maybe there's some wisdom in that for the --
