On in the show right now we've got -- a couple of -- -- to bring in.

In fact from New York we have -- Rios Lance Rios is the founder of being Latino dot -- in Chicago we have.

Adalius -- -- is a principal at the -- -- law offices and you can find both of them I had to on Twitter so off course -- talking about twittering guys know there's a lot of talking to a point today we can -- bring into the mix you know.

Yesterday I thought what was interesting to start a start this off -- -- news front you know yesterday what was interesting when the president came out.

With his stance on gay marriage for example the first place we heard about it was on Twitter we heard that there was going to be a change.

And then we heard what it was going to be.

And that was before radio before television broken with the news so.

Of course it's still training today in fact right now -- -- -- you know looking out what's trending at least in the Los Angeles area on the West Coast.

You have no dark shadows the movies training but you also have.

President Obama and you have.

The dinner this going off site near Los Angeles yet George Clooney -- also -- because that's where the dinner is going to be held a big fundraising dinner near Los Angeles so.

Welcome to both the U wanna bring you know start with you out Lance.

As you bring up this first talking point.

You know the social network situation obviously is really counted -- it's funneling news now affects so many of us in news watch and really base.

Some of the things that we get a where the direction we go off of social media.

Yeah yeah I -- media as a holes really revolutionizing the way that people now.

Receive and to give information and you know there's no production involved in actually creating this content to let your networks know.

What's happening right now so you know the live streaming information is -- what has become standard because of social media.

-- and that's why I think of that when certain things come to fruition immediately it's going to be -- -- in the social media space with us on Twitter FaceBook.

Are more beyond all -- immediately so it's really creating a standard where.

If news happens it usually happens with in the social space first and that it's being picked up by other traditional outlets afterwards.

Yeah and daily you know it wanting -- -- it also really can change the way -- story goes we've seen some stories that just.

Took off like wildfire that made -- -- been covered in the past him and I've been known about the past and it really crosses cultural boundaries language boundaries right now as -- looking you have.

They're a police did -- mother race was of course happy Mother's Day in the right below what you have happy Mother's Day trading as well.

It's it's an amazing tool and it allows businesses especially -- monitor.

What's being said about -- -- -- -- they can react immediately I think we were supposed to talk about at least the Spirit Airlines scandal and be it public outcry when Spirit Airlines refuse to refund a 200 dollar ticket to at.

War veteran and because of that social media outcry the CEO came out with -- an apology after a very strong stance otherwise.

Refunding that money so I think that it has that power and it -- like you said it transcends.

Race gender country.

And -- it is very powerful tool.

Yet ACLU mentioned this spirit airline that is one thing we will talk about as well ends what was that thing about the Spirit Airlines situation as you had -- happening online with FaceBook and Twitter.

And then you had web sites like foxnews.com not because we're on foxnews.com and they were kind of the first main news website that came out with a story to.

And -- reaction from viewers and people that had an interest in this -- -- -- Twitter and FaceBook -- foxnews.com.

And others and picking up on it all at the same times it was kind of on a massive everything of one point and it did force this company to change his mind right.

Lance yeah I mean it was really amazing -- what happened with people leveraging the social spaces in order it's to amplify there there messaging in a way that is truly -- to -- to create a change like that I think is so substantial.

-- -- a lot of major corporations do have to realize that you know the social media space whatever you create any sort of entity of which people couldn't be.

Bias towards or dad's -- immediately by the nature whatever you know business you're a year engaging and you really have to be able to.

Understand that you know it could be a great thing for you but can also create certain levels of conflict of which can can dictate the way that you run your business so this is a prime example of that happening.

You know what do you ever get to know is we've obviously touched on -- whole social media aspect of everything and how we all know it's exploded in recent years.

The one thing way to bring into this now is the whole privacy situation because while it can't be effective for changing minds in some ways positively or negatively.

You have a situation like for -- plead with me I was reading up on the -- to Graham.

Bylaws last night and what.

Basically you give up by posting on -- -- And I have a light up close a lot of pictures on there I enjoy using the service.

And it seems like there's a little bit a backlit backlash now by some of the users out there.

Trying to find other ways to -- to stay in touch with each other.

Other ways to post pictures share things without giving up your rights without giving up basically your pictures -- Well every year after it has to face these privacy issues the big the big four you know whenever that you FaceBook than Google's there are all under scrutiny by the FTC we just heard the story about MySpace being -- And -- sanctions Friday by the FTC for not disclosing how it's using its.

Friend IDs -- user IDs so it's it's and it's an issue and I think it's always on a case by case basis.

Path for example which is new popular micro private social network.

Has immediately issued an apology when users found out that.

Everything from their mobile phone for example was being uploaded to the application including their -- friends addresses.

And I think as we've seen these social networks push the envelope they they try to gather and -- as much information and then if there is a public outcry to take a couple steps back.

-- Lance.

One thing that kind of week we talked ominously office earlier today was.

Fifteen years ago back when Internet was first it was all dial up and everyone was really starting to get online at least at the very at a very early stages of -- back in the mid -- for example.

You first thing you did was he dialed up and you went to copy -- you went to -- well you went to one of those sites and that was kind of like your place to go your neighborhood so to speak we had your email you had.

Top stories of the day and then you can farm out from there by -- -- hitting the links in going -- -- places then went away from that people we're going -- going to specific web -- of course.

And then now the last five years -- you seen the FaceBook situation that exploded.

Of course Twitter be something totally different but -- FaceBook and MySpace before that.

And it seems like we kind of went back to where we began -- some respects right.

Yeah just like anything else history deathly repeats itself I think that FaceBook is has been very very strategic with the way that they've been positioning themselves so they don't turn into necessarily a MySpace where they have a great deal tracks and then they lose a lot.

-- and one of the ways that they've been able to maintain that consistency and being the top social networking site.

In the world is by creating different elements to it.

We're essentially you don't have to go anywhere else in order to get insert this in order to get other types of information meaning.

-- of their brand is gonna have a FaceBook fan page so rather than going to their website directly you know that you go to their FaceBook fan page the latest and greatest is going to be there.

-- we know it's a great way of news information so rather than going to traditional news web sites directly you now have the way.

Are the ability to tap into FaceBook fan -- to do so you can now purchase airplane tickets on FaceBook and -- do pretty much everything where.

On the you don't have to leave the space so in order to get the information they -- seeking so it's been very very strategic kind of the reverse model of that AOL or traditional -- all of which they're bringing that now in and seeing which elements of -- what actually works.

Right speaking of morals and speaking of keeping had a business within the family so this -- we had one viewer.

Charles who has during the -- -- join the live chat pardon me.

You can you can follow us on Twitter I talked to me it Adam Housley is my Twitter username you also can go to our FaceBook pages we have all these things being -- we can stay in touch with you Charles -- -- good question to any kind of kind of goes -- the same lines.

About Yahoo! Microsoft and his question was people are talking about how Microsoft is.

Stifling other rival -- the same argument can be made some people say about apple you know I'm an apple guy obviously we use both of them here at fox and apple -- -- PCs.

But argument about Michael's Microsoft potentially stifling rivals dale dale Dolly pardon me that's kind of obviously topic -- hasn't.

-- is not a new topic so to speak it's been out there for awhile.

Well look.

All businesses have to reinvent themselves and compete in the market and it it -- and innovation and new ways of communicating -- it would -- users and consumers so.

-- stifling competition I don't know I think -- they're encouraging and creating more competition.

We're blessed what do you think about I mean again you have people argue that that Microsoft and apple or try to keep it things in the family not spreading it out what do you what's your thought on that.

Well I think to me you know there's always going to be competition and whatever business that you have.

And I think that you know by having competition it obviously is gonna keep you relevance it allows you the opportunity.

To have the flexibility to sort of reinvent yourself where it's necessary without the competition you know you stay stagnant and that's never good.

For you as a business provider.

Formal request a pretty guys we have short time so first of all -- in the Lance what do you guys -- gonna come up the next couple weeks what do you see out there you know obviously.

On the stuff possible the last little like Spirit Airlines anything on it on your radar this morning.

I think we're going to be seeing an increase and net mobile issues and apps that are primarily accessible only by phone.

And I think there's a trend towards new social networks being only a mobile based phone I think there was some statistic out there the more people.

And the world have a phone and then they do -- toothbrush.

What -- -- -- my thinking that next big thing that you can expect to see it that very soon is.

The re invention of video within the social media space you know with -- interest -- -- -- a lot of picture based on the absolute fire.

Companies that are coming out now focusing on just pictures but you know.

Video is probably what most engaging portions of social media of which a lot of people sort of slapped on you know YouTube is the second largest search engine website in the world and the parent company Google.

Obviously is number one so that -- is -- it's the fact that video is a very very relevant property.

And the fact that you haven't seen so many niche sort of social space is capitalizing on it means that they're coming very soon.

And again it also comes down to the argument we're having with pictures in the what is your rights and and how much you give up by posting some of those things and I'm sure you're gonna have the same situations you have -- -- -- for example we're gonna have other startups come up where you don't have to give -- many rights and still be able to share your pictures last -- -- -- ask you one more favorite hash tag golly you first.

Well you know we talked about all these important newsworthy hash -- apparently that top turning one now is also you're not ground F.

Those ballots that that was worth a chuckle or 2 up this morning with the.

Absolutely yeah the whole -- can stay in and he had fouling out -- tell my brother in law that he was doing all pointing thing about a year ago.

And then of course the -- hash -- him models like what what is fouling which is where you kind of put yourself like an owl that's all gone away thankfully you'll see that those two things right now but trading near Los Angeles yet dark shadows of the -- in the movie of time magazine -- helped him up cougar town.

-- the TV show obviously one of they've been either -- or are canceled and you have everything from.

Like against the happy Mother's Day violates your your hash tag the sticks out to you right now.

I really like keeping up with a different variations of the Mother's Day has tags.

I'm like -- very adamant about following -- -- that -- holidays because I think it's just so funny some of the things that people do come with come up with and they become standard so.

The mom's day it has tag is probably one of the best that I think isn't most -- -- -- Yeah relevant did you have them both you both English and Spanish are literally right below each other you have it it's Phillies the -- moderates and right below is happy mother's days you have both being represented right now and -- in the Los Angeles area.

Yes and I mean you know -- -- -- -- you can't forget about those hash tags and the fact that.

It is so powerful and I checked -- earlier nationally I think it was actually above the English language so it's it's really funny that you know -- the things that surround certain holidays has become so strong.

Right -- well let's reels from New York appreciate your time -- of course the founder of being Latino dot US and also.

Delhi is taper at a Chicago she's -- principles April law.

Is due to follow both of them on Twitter and we appreciate you guys -- talk -- guys against them think you.
