-- -- viewers vote for your choice on line and dance -- Friday lightning round and this week the big winner.

Romney VP pick one with 30% of the vote take a listen to -- round.

I think what the American people would look for the vice president is someone who they believe could be president that would where necessary.

And and that problem that the quality that's most important.

-- -- -- -- Finished -- series called running with Romney.

Fred we had five top picks and then a whole bunch others.

What your call.

Well I mean literally -- and Romney's cautious guy and if he's ahead -- I think it will be he will be in late August when this.

Republican Convention happens in the past that and somebody that has actually -- speeches as vice presidential running mate.

But it'll probably be Rob Portman of Ohio that's a cautious Pacman and -- generally cautious guy.

My own favorite is it's Chris Christie.

Can you imagine a Romney Christie ticket drive Democrats crazy Christie would be absolutely -- weathering one New Jersey and we're not for the ticket with a guy who's.

Obviously most qualified.

And would be loved by Republicans of all stripes and independents -- as well -- Jeb Bush but.

You know there's the dynasty problem Americans don't like about this case it.

I think some of what Fred said about Rob Portman is probably right in the Romney team is.

A cautious group that are looking for loyalty above all somebody that's gonna fit in with the very close knit team that they -- he had there in Boston somebody who's going to be.

A team player and somebody that that Romney is personally comfortable -- -- he's been trying these people out 11 at a time out on the trail.

Campaigning with them getting to know their staffs the staffs and working together and I think that when makes a lot of sense from what I've seen so far Tucker.

Conservatives really want -- pick someone exciting.

And conservative they really want -- -- -- where trouble Marco Rubio was on the lips of every Republican primary voter I run into I don't think that's gonna happen.

Mostly because you get.

You take on more risk then.

Not when you picked someone for VP I -- I think JFK was the last.

Nominee who was really helped by his veep choice and it can hurt you -- which in a number of times I think he's much more likely to pick a stolid.

Former congressman from Cincinnati you know.

And someone to access and -- governor Mitch Daniels.

Don't forget okay.

Post office bailout that was second in our list.

What about this should.

Not shutting down the post office over the weekend delivery and all the back and forth on Capitol Hill this just to be totally clear it's not about the price of delivering mail the cost us not because of the trucks it's about the legacy costs of postal employees the eight million -- postal employees.

Whose union contracts that's -- they get paid health insurance.

Forever we should do away with post office obviously the postal clause -- article one of the constitution might need some amending.

But the truth is if you opens up to competition.

We get our mail faster and cheaper and in the end that's probably the only solution my prediction is that what happened in our case.

Well it's interesting that in this kid's gonna take an act of congress to allow an agency to make cuts as opposed to a -- Keeping it it put together but you know it's and it's one of those institutions and some -- Americans are hung up on this idea that you we've been getting air mailed this way for.

How many decades now and and I think it in some ways what you saw with the auto bailout where we were looking at American cars things that were actually attached to.

There's -- about this debate -- well for a.

You know we get packages though from FedEx and UPS a lot quicker than we get first class mail that's for sure well obviously what we need -- -- privatize it.

At that what you can -- you can sell postal franchises to companies like FedEx.

And UPS and -- pay for it.

You know like companies pay colleges to put their football games on television and and that'll help pay the legacy cost they'll make money you know one of the complaints of course is if you privatize it.

-- those companies can make any money on world elaborate when you have to subsidize that may be but.

Look it has to go I mean one of the most efficient companies in America it's -- delivery companies I think people understand they do a better job.

Quickly here on North Carolina is the side of the Democratic Convention this year in Charlotte.

But it's not looking like a great blue state -- for a school it's gone for.

Obama no matter what the polls say now that -- on on gay marriage is one thing.

I think north Carolina's probably going to be.

-- strongest if not be strong as one of the strongest Republican states in the country.

In 2012 elect Republican governor three -- four new house members.

And probably.

The Mitt Romney is well.

Casey do you think Democrats are regretting that choice -- -- well Democrats are certainly still looking to play in North Carolina and the African American -- obvious is going to be key element there.

For the president on the other hand Republicans are very excited about this the political leadership over the RNC has been looking at it.

For months now thinking that you know they have a chance especially -- college campuses where democratic registration is now.

North -- changed an awful lot in the past twenty years and Research Triangle especially but not enough 2008 was an anomaly you set yourself or having the convention there why.

Because they're getting everything they can I don't think it's I don't even think realistically it's in play under different.
