Things like out of a movie inception.
And now this device is making the movie seem like a bit more of -- reality by putting you in the driver's seat when it comes to your dreams joining me now is Steve -- again and Duncan Frazier co founders of it -- labs and makers of the -- sleep mask.
Which started out as a kick starter projects they're working on a for a number of years you got a the lot a lot of funding Steve I think that's come up with this idea.
Will we both really been interest and lucid dreaming for.
Actually since we are kids.
But we only realize that we both had a mutual interest and it may be about a year ago we just happened -- -- -- off conversation when.
We realize that it is something that there was a lot of consumer products.
You know out there so we we decided to see if CB did you get it out ourselves after a.
Okay so how does it work here because the idea behind lucid dreaming is that somehow you -- a week.
-- -- you're dreaming you have some control over your dreams sheriff so the basic ideas yet you realize you're -- dream.
And once you realize you're in a dream you can control it.
So the way that that -- works is.
Did inside the mask there's a controller there's a little computer that -- -- two year in Rem sleep.
And then -- flash is six LEDs on the back so -- is little light patterns.
And they they don't wake you up but they're bright enough that the bleeding into your dreams and create kind of -- visual anomaly.
That is distinct enough that you'll see it.
And -- which you recognize that your actually dreaming.
They -- kick -- inside the masses may just look like a simple sort of federal felt -- but inside you're actually seeing on the screen here all the different details Steve so have you obviously -- worked with this and tried this over the past year in development and what has been the most amazing thing about ran -- you have you.
Been able to every night to -- you already Batman tonight -- one fight crime in my dreams ever and I wanna fly what have you been able to.
Doing -- amazing thing about -- dreaming is you know the only limit is your imagination you can do.
You can do simple things like you know self improvement you can do.
You can give me an example because that's -- -- your in your dream you can do self improvement how.
What personally actually.
I was able to get over kind of a fear of -- public speaking by.
Kind of -- inserting myself in -- situations.
And picturing yourself if -- myself and like public speaking situation and in I get I get myself -- -- larger and larger venues and and make myself more comfort.
Why Duncan when anyone wanna buy this I mean I'm fascinated by it and I would probably definitely wanna give it a try but why would the average -- wanna get this try as soon as you experience -- -- dream.
You realize it's such an amazing kind of visceral.
Experience and you can really just explore your imagination in a way that is.
There are literally no limits to what you can -- in your dreams have to have that kind of control over such like a wide open medium it's just.
