The column of smoke could be seen for miles as the flames spread -- would -- high school this morning.

4 students they're normal morning turned into a chaotic scene and a little scary and you know a lot of worry -- a lot of people were.

Wired about this stuff from the school fire officials say the fire started in an area where there would shop and metal shops are located.

But district officials say those classrooms haven't been used in nearly two years.

One student tells us he was in the classroom right next door to where the fire started.

It saw a couple of students playing with fire.

When I was in class I've heard the kids and sound -- are messing around with.

-- -- And more than seven -- on fire and then union the fire started they just tried put it out we of the Paper towel.

The fire investigators won't say if that's true they say it's too early in the investigation to try and pinpoint a cause.

The school did suffer a lot of smoke and water damage from this place which required the help of sixteen different fire departments to help put it out.
