The Pentagon so -- -- with studies commissioned a study to study the cost of all those studies got that well.
Now John fund from the American spectator as -- morning guarantee you.
This is set the table this is 2010.
The Defense Secretary Robert Gates and he says and I'm confused by what we're getting out of this what -- -- do.
Well he said.
I don't think we're getting our money's worth and I don't think restarting the things we should be studying so let's have a study to see how we can get better studies -- figure out how to get rid of the studies were doing.
And what he conclude.
Well apparently the study wasn't finished apparently about six of the nine studies they looked at were incomplete in their study of them.
And the whole thing was called incomplete so now they're talking about a study of the study of the studies.
Now I have a solution for this you know normally I would say if government federal government wants to have a study.
They should say to themselves well you know if it's really -- studying may be some on the private sector of the state level and are we looked at it okay the Pentagon is different because nobody else does with the Pentagon does.
So I have three proposed studies the Pentagon could do not come here -- well I thought we're up -- -- errors and studies already have three another loser freed these are three good study how how much they've given a shot but let's have a study.
As to why so many weapons systems are built in congressional districts that the Pentagon doesn't even wanton because the conduct man congressman from those districts want the that advertiser right about that that's one what's another.
The second one would be why in the world after sixty years seventy years after World War II we still have a whole bunch of countries we have troops and and those governments in those countries are contributing their fair share to having our troops there to protect them that's another study.
And the third study which I think would be really interesting is.
In pentagon contract and why don't we have more competition what we have more bids from small business and other things.
Rather than just have the same mold to -- defense contractors that do cost plus by countless I think Iran is up and who knows because the study the study to study is not complete perhaps there -- look at her all that.
But -- was on -- something wasn't it.
He knew there was a lot of duplicity he -- he knew there was a lot of ways.
What gates is an old wily bureaucrat remember this is a guy used to head the CIA he knows where the bodies are buried but you ought to show you how just how big in congress and our government -- gotten.
Even a guy who wants to do the right thing.
Can't get the lower levels of the your car bureaucracy to do what he wants I think this is just another reason why we have to look to decentralize this thing but my father worked for the Pentagon bureaucracy and he knows how ridiculous it was.
We've got to find a way to decentralized decision making and have more competition in the government contracting for these weapons that you say let's interference from the -- this explains that for -- Other people's money.
If that's the sweetest words in the English language.
If you can spend other people's money you've got something that you can go four or you live in that town John fund thank you for your time we'll see in New York against him thank you John.
