We're looking for -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Never give up.
We will never give up looking for you.
Joining me now mark -- he's a former homicide detective for the LAPD and -- Fox News contributor Marc thank you so much for being back and so now.
We learned that the device division child -- services has taken.
His custody or his contact away from his other two children as they refused to say.
That the parents are not suspects they're not ruling them out as suspects what does it tell you.
We'll make annoying when you look at this the Child Protective Services have has won function and one function normally -- that is due to make sure that children are protected.
The parents are separated and it's been it's been written and reported that that they were they separated at the advice or the recommendation -- CBS so.
You have to wonder if the child safety is at stake that means that the parents would be able to protect the children more than anybody else unless of course one of those parents.
Is under the scrutiny of law enforcement possibly.
With the disappearance or death of the third child.
They separate the two children -- with the wife it's pretty obvious what's going on here.
They say you know the parents maintain that this was sort of like a baby -- a case where somebody came into the house they believe in the middle of the night and stole their six year old daughter.
They said that there was a block.
Screen that was pushed in in her bedroom.
And yet despite interviews of over fifteen registered sex offenders in the neighborhood and presumably dusting for prints on that -- cellmark.
They've made no arrests since and claim they have no suspects.
Well -- -- you you and I have talked about both these cases in and day end in the United States.
There is less than fifteen of these cases of a reduction.
From a stranger into a home wallets occupied.
And that would mean less than eight were -- -- female so.
I I think the the the investigation that we don't know the forensics the point of entry the point of -- We do know the parents took polygraphs.
Obviously the mother.
Satisfactorily past that to polygraph.
But perhaps even if the father passed the polygraph the friend six dispute is rendition of the events that morning he was the person that report of child missing let's not forget that and.
Then we they they they claim that this doesn't mean investigators are turning their focus on the father Sergio -- us.
They claim that it's a common practice for Child Protective Services to be comic involved.
And they say all that's at issue here is quote new information regarding the welfare.
Of the older children could it be something totally unrelated in the course of the polygraph they found out.
You know he had some history with the two older boys that that troubled them.
Well -- quite possibly make it I've never heard of this law enforcement my entire time with the LAPD or sense.
Let's remember the Susan Powell case is Susan Powell case EPS.
Actually allowed spa visits.
Of those two children even though the husband was obviously the suspect in the disappearance and or.
Probable murder of the mother and now those two children are dead in the father committed suicide so.
CBS did not do this to my knowledge in this circumstance.
Ever that I have read about or personally was involved -- so I think it's rare but I think it is a safety precaution.
That they are not going to allow as -- he is going to be turned up somewhat I believe.
For those children to have access to their father their father of access to them.
Mark when he here you know as a layperson when he heard the father making that emotional plea.
You know you you -- -- -- have it sounds real -- to those of us you know without any formal training in law's enforcement how do you assess.
Something like that.
-- to be really truthful Megan right right.
I'm not affected by the emotion of people that are involved in these cases I mean if it's genuine it's genuine but I don't know these people.
So I completely ignored look at it look at the obvious and look what facts are presented if you're inside of the case.
It's it's not a big enough time -- the DNA that Trace evidence in some of the more complicated.
Investigations and examinations the results are back and now you have to compare that -- statements time lines polygraph.
Let's just remember.
A polygraph isn't.
Isn't isn't the the final word it is a tool that's right mark -- thank you coming up in just a that would.
